Your Tax $$ at Work: Bored Federal Employees Watch Porn All Day

As if it weren’t enough that you were paying them salaries to interfere in your life, and letting them retire early on luxurious pensions that’ll keep them comfier than you are for as long as they live, now we hear that federal employees spend a lot of their time viewing pornography on their computers… because, they say, they don’t have enough work to do, and they’re bored ( http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/jul/31/feds-accept-boredom-lack-of-work-as-excuses-for-sur/ ). The Washington Times Headline says it all: “Porn-surfing feds blame boredom, lack of work for misbehaving.”

And you can’t fire them because Our Nation’s Glorious Leaders rely on public employee unions to fund their electoral campaigns.

But don’t worry. At the rate they’re going, Our Nation’s Glorious Leaders soon won’t have a nation to lord it over anymore. They’ve trashed our culture, debauched our national character, and are working hard to bankrupt us. Government by villains, kooks, and fools doesn’t seem like it’s turning out to be a good thing for America.

I don’t have any desire to view pornography. But how would y’all like to pay me a nice salary, with a nice pension, for playing chess and Mah Jong Garden on my computer?

P.S.–The link to the Washington Times article doesn’t work, of course. *sigh* Well, it’s a technology issue, and I can’t deal with it.

Our New Principle of Government

If the Constitution is too hard for you to understand, don’t bother to try. We aren’t using it anymore.

Instead, we have a new operating principle of government that anyone can understand. And I do mean anyone.

If the president has 51 votes in the Senate, he can do anything he pleases. Anything–as if he were a king. He can do an end run around Congress whenever they won’t pass legislation he wants.

Can’t get the votes for illegal alien amnesty? No problem, just write an executive order. Stroke of the pen, law of the land. Can’t get the votes for legislation forcing people to hire transsexuals? So who needs legislation anymore? Just sign the order.

The 51 votes in the Senate protect the president from having to face any consequences of his actions. If he is impeachment-proof, he can rule as an autocrat. And we no longer have a president, but a czar, a dictator: but we can still call him “president” and celebrate our illusion of “freedom” every 4th of July.

I am pretty sure that wasn’t how our system was supposed to work.

Maybe you don’t care. Maybe this is all too abstract for you.

But you should care. Most of you were born in a country that was more or less free, with a long-established system of checks and balances, and separation of powers, that kept the government from going all Idi Amin on us.

That is what we are losing–and will lose altogether, unless we can find some way to protect it.

May Obama’s term be shortened, and another take his office. Amen.

Our Evil, Mindless Government

They may not be able to secure our country’s borders from wave upon wave of illegal aliens, gang-bangers, and drugsters: but one thing this worst regime in US history is going to do, by gum, is to crack down on school bake sales! (The National Journal, http://www.nationaljournal.com/domesticpolicy/the-government-is-cracking-down-on-school-bake-sales-20140725 )

What does the Bible say is the purpose of the civil government? “Rulers” are to be a terror to evildoers (Romans 13:3). But the Obama Regime does everything backwards, so now the government is a terror to peaceable, law-abiding citizens, and the criminals’ best friend.

Who is doing evil? A “president” who usurps the authority of the people’s elected representatives, and a Congress who allows it. A US attorney general who urges state attorneys general not to enforce their states’ laws. An Internal Revenue Service who, in plain defiance of federal law, favors some citizens and disables others according to their politics. And so on.

So now they’re going to crack down on school bake sales. Why? Because if a kid has a cupcake baked at home by another child’s mother, that is a “competitive snack,” according to one of the few laws that this Regime is willing to enforce, and thus forbidden.

Want to break our immigration laws? Well, come on in! There will be a slight delay while the “president” draws up an executive order giving you all blanket amnesty, but in the meantime, help yourselves to all the freebies you can grab. The stupid American taxpayer is paying for it.

And don’t worry about law enforcement! We’ve got all we can handle, cracking down on bake sales, Christian bakers who won’t create cakes for same-sex imitation weddings, and all those “war on women” malefactors who don’t what to be forced to pay for someone else’s abortion.

People, please… Pray that God cuts short the Obama presidency, and punishes all those who enabled it, and erases their foul works from the face of the earth.

We have sinned against the Lord, and this Regime has been imposed on us as a scourge. But now the tool used by the Lord boasts itself against Him, and takes His name in vain. We confess our sins, O God–now save us. Not for our sakes, but for your own holy name’s sake.

Rid us of these wicked, lawless rulers. Amen.

The Iraq Snake-Pit

While we go about our business peacefully, routinely, a storm of violence has suddenly washed over the democracy we supposedly created in Iraq. I would rather not write about it, but the cascade of nightmarish images forces me to say something. Today on the front page of one of the newspapers, I saw a picture of a terrorist getting ready to cut the head off–with a knife–an unarmed civilian. And that wasn’t the only picture that I saw.

I cannot blame even our so-called president for the savagery that seems habitual to Islam. It goes back a long, long way.

But can we honestly say that our government’s recent action, or lack of action, has played no part in this?

Our leaders have advertised, overtly, loudly, to the whole world our weakness of will, our indecisiveness, our fecklessness.

Who took al-Qaeda’s side in Syria?

Who made one idle threat after another against the Assad regime, exposing our pusillanimous leadership?

Who tried to run guns to the bad guys in Benghazi?

Who supported the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, only to look like weaklings when the Egyptian people threw them out?

Who just released five top al-Qaeda operatives from captivity, in return for one (probable) deserter?

Who has openly proclaimed our unwillingness to save Iraq, and the people there who trusted us?

But I already know what they’re going to say–don’t you?

“It’s all George Bush’s fault! Man, we only found out about all this when we read it in the papers!”

The shaming of America goes on unabated.

Argentina’s Secretary of Thought (ROFL)

You’re not gonna believe this.

As reported by The Telegraph, “Argentina’s President Cristina Kirchner has created a new post: secretary for strategic co-ordination of national thought” ( http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/southamerica/argentina/10880243/Argentina-appoints-new-secretary-of-national-thought.html ).

Yeah, ha-ha, very funny..,. but I’m afraid this is no satire.

The guy who got the job as Secretary of National Thought “said the idea was ‘to build networks among academics and intellectuals who are thinking about joint projects in Latin America,'” The Telegraph reported. He denied it has anything to do with trying to achieve “uniformity of thought” in Argentina.

How long will it take them to discover that a lone musketeer can’t do much, even if he is a secretary? So, presto! They create another huge bureaucracy, the Ministry of National Thought, complete with a new horde of unionized public employees, etc. *sigh*

I’ll bet you absolutely can’t wait until this catches on in the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and everywhere else. Secretary of National Thought–brilliant! Why didn’t we think of that! Can we get Michelle Obama to do it? Oh, she’s busy telling people what to eat? Ooh-ooh, I know–Michael Bloomberg! The ideal man for the job.

Man, we could have it so you can’t think without a thinking license, and someone could invent, like, a monitor you can wear on your forehead so they’ll always know what you’re thinking and can jump on you if you have any bad thoughts about our beloved president…

Can I wake up now–please?

Our Shameless Leaders

Someone once said, when you’ve got something that you really ought to be ashamed of, just say it’s great and pretend you’re proud of it. The sense of shame will go away, and you may even trick others into thinking highly of you.

Those creatures who have slithered out from under rocks and rotting logs and been placed in Washington D.C. to govern us, understand this advice and live by it.

That’s why, in the last couple of days, we’ve heard the idiot John Kerry and his underlings say that the current occupier of the White House “doesn’t give himself enough credit” for all the great “successes” of his foreign policy.

Can you think of one single thing this worst-president-ever has done–apart from purposely damaging the country–that can be honestly called a “success” by any sane person? And as for giving himself credit–never in the field of human hypocrisy has so much credit been given by so many to so few.

The ruling class that burdens us today literally makes my flesh creep. It’s like something in a horror movie–a shapeless thing with sticky tentacles that drags its prey into darkness, never to return.

May God rid us of them, and erase all their works from the face of the earth.

Some Thoughts on Memorial Day

Can we still say “Happy Memorial Day”? Or is that “happy holiday” now, too–just in case there’s one pencil-necked geek out there who might be offended?

John Kerry, who has built a nice career on trashing his fellow soldiers, once said it would be too bad for someone to be the last man to die in the Vietnam War. I guess so: the side he was rooting for won.

This Memorial Day, imagine being the last, or the first, to die in defense of, say, free speech zones. No free speech allowed outside the designated area. How well does that go with this? “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights…”

How about dying for Obamacare? Or same-sex imitation marriage, and the right of bureaucrats and pressure groups to destroy you if you don’t agree? Or for the right to die in a VA hospital, when timely treatment would have saved your life, because the government can’t be bothered with you anymore?

How about dying in the service of a government that screams bloody murder about “hate crimes,” but has never uttered a peep about “knockout”?

Would you lay down your life on Little Round Top, Iwo Jima, or Bastogne for any of that?

O God, who gives us the courage to die for a good cause, give us the courage never to die for an evil one.

A Few Sassy Questions

You might like to try these out on your liberal friends and family members. These are questions that can’t be answered using prog ideology. Watch the fun when they try!

1. If the public schools are as great as the teachers’ unions say they are, then how come private “learning centers” are springing up everywhere you look? My home town is only two miles across, and we have several of them, including a new one that just opened.

1a. If you need to send your kid to a “learning center” because he or she is not learning bupkus in school, why do you continue to send the child to that school?

2. If “the people want gay marriage,” as our media and politicians and movie stars tell us, then how come 31 out of our 50 states have amended their constitutions to ban same-sex imitation marriage? It would be banned even in California, if the forces of evil hadn’t, as is their custom, found a friendly judge to nullify the people’s vote.

3. If human activity really is causing the climate to go out of whack, and if we really do have only 500 days before we’re all destroyed by “climate chaos” (as agreed recently between the foreign minister of France and the idiot John Kerry)… does that mean that if we pay real high taxes and let the government control our lives, we won’t get any more hurricanes, droughts, tornadoes, floods, forest fires, or earthquakes? Can government really keep those things from happening?

3a. If John Kerry and Al Gore and all the rest of the Climate Gang really, truly believe in what they’re telling us to believe, then how come they still live in colossal mansions and zoom around in private jets?

4. If the leaders of the Democrat Party sincerely believe the government ought to create “income equality” in America, does that mean I’ll be given an income like Nancy Pelosi’s or Harry Reid’s?

4a. Or does that mean that their incomes will be brought down even with mine?

Go ahead, ask these questions. It’ll be fun to see what answers you get–if their heads don’t explode first.

We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ Laws

It’s against the law to hold up a Seven-Eleven. But if you do it, and get caught, you still might get away with it. You could plea-bargain to a lesser charge and maybe get off with a suspended sentence. The prosecutor might bungle his case. Maybe the store owner won’t press charges. Maybe some irregularity in police procedure might spring you.

It is not against the law to oppose same-sex pseudomarriage or any other goal of Organized Sodomy. But it’s easier to get away with an armed robbery.

A football player tweets a discouraging word about the first “openly gay” player to be drafted by the NFL–and suddenly he’s suspended from his team–that is, stripped of his livelihood–pending “education” that will make his mind right.

Two guys lose their cable TV show, which was about buying and selling houses, when it becomes known that they don’t support imitation marriage. The CEO of Firefox gets driven out of his job because he supported Proposition 8, the referendum by which Californians, by a great majority, reserved marriage to a man and a woman only. This was the law of the state until the bad guys found a friendly judge to overturn the election. Now, although anyone was perfectly within his legal rights to vote for or contribute money to Proposition 8, it is certainly treated as a crime.

The fig leaf is this argument: “We’re not doing anything to limit freedom of speech; but speech does have consequences.”

OK, sure: you get a TV or radio show and the audience doesn’t tune you in, the network is within its rights to tune you out. You write a book that people think is horse manure, they’re not infringing on your rights by refusing to buy it.

Supposedly we are a nation of laws; and yet a whole new class of punishable crime has been created without benefit of a single word of legislation. The punishments have been imposed, and are being imposed. If you’re the only serious Christian baker or photographer or job printer in a city featuring many bakers, photographers, or job printers, you can bet your bottom dollar the “gays” will come looking for you: and then you will either have to take an active part in one of their imitation marriages, or they and their friends in the bureaucracy will destroy your business.

I would caution you not to let them catch you being a racist; but as we all know already, there is absolutely no way for any Caucasian human being to avoid a charge of racism.

Where is the Reset Button?

I woke up this morning with a toothache, my heel spur is killing me, and I’m stuck here waiting for a plumber to fix my toilet, which yesterday started leaking from the bottom.

I need to re-start this whole week. If it’s this bad by Monday morning, what’s it gonna be like by Friday?

Comment on the news: Does Pope Francis honestly expect the assorted dictators, assassins, Muslims, communists, and crony capitalists who run the nations of the world to redistribute wealth, rescue the poor, and create “equality”? And they call me a fantasy writer!

I certainly wouldn’t trust Obama, Pelosi, and Reid to do it, or McCain, Ryan, and Boehner–and that’s in my own country. Much less would I want to farm the job out to the varmints who govern places like North Korea, Zimbabwe, China, and so on.

What is wrong with the pope, that such a crackbrained notion would even enter his head?

The boys in the Vatican had better watch him very closely, or he’ll wind up buying the Brooklyn Bridge.
