Are You a Racist?

OK, it was a hoax: someone told a bunch of men and women on the street somewhere in southern California that Speaker of the House John Boehner said he doesn’t like Mexican food, and asked them if they thought that made him a racist (see http://www.infowars.com/obama-supporters-not-liking-mexican-food-is-racist ). Bearing in mind that all sorts of responses could have been left out of the final version of the video, we still have a lot of people saying oh, yes, by golly, that’s racist! They all said Boehner had to resign (for admitting he didn’t like Mexican food). They all agreed the country “cannot tolerate this bigotry.” One woman said, “They need to make an example of him.” Hey–how about a public beheading?

I wouldn’t take this at all seriously, except a year or two ago, “education” bureaucrats in Britain branded two-year-old infants as “racists” because they wouldn’t eat spicy foreign food. Besides which–are we not hectored by Democrats and media, every single day, that any opposition to them or to their policies, any criticism of the current occupier of the White House, is racist?

I don’t like Mexican food, especially when it’s prepared by Welsh people. “Racist, racist, racist!”

But you know what? I don’t care anymore. They use the word “racist” like they use “um” or “y’know.” The only way you can convince a lib that you’re not a racist is to volunteer to be “it” in a Knockout game.

Meanwhile, it’s a beautiful racist morning here, the racist dogwood tree is in full bloom, the racist bees are gathering racist nectar from the racist flowers, and all racist in all, it’s racist a lovely racist day. I racist hope all you racists out there racist enjoy your racist afternoon.

Our Immoral and Unrighteous Government

Message from a reader, yesterday: “I suggest you limit your crusade to morality and righteousness in America, and leave climate change alone…”

Well, I would–only when government gets into the flim-flam business to take the people’s money and their liberties, I’d say that was pretty immoral and unrighteous.

What I don’t see is how morality and righteousness can thrive in any nation where the government uses lies and scare tactics to increase its power and wealth at the people’s expense. I write about Global Warming/Climate Change/Whatevuh because it shows Stalinist wannabes trying to use “science” as an excuse to impose their will.

If we believe in Man-Made Global Warming, and if we believe that government can protect us from it, if we give government vast new powers, we are just asking to be enslaved.

The federal government of the United State has taken unto itself powers far in excess of those enumerated powers assigned to it under the Constitution. Before we trust them with more power, let’s look at what they do with the power that they have already.

They run up huge public debt, much of it for vain and frivolous projects, and endanger the economic well-being of future generations.

They have intruded the government into every sphere of public life, in spite of the Tenth Amendment, which limits the federal government’s powers to those enumerated in the Constitution.

They campaign against Christianity, trying to drive it out of the public decision-making process.

They promote abortion, and seek to force Christians and other objectors to fund it.

They promote homosexuality.

They play class warfare and encourage the people to covet their neighbors’ property, and to envy them.

They foment and inflame all kinds of bitter divisions and rivalries among the American people, for their own political advantage.

They steal from us. No one goes home poor from Capitol Hill.

They seek continually to erode our freedoms, especially those guaranteed to us under the First and Second Amendments.

Finally, I don’t know about you, but this particular administration’s lust for lawlessness, nakedly and boldly expressed by its top officials, leaves me breathless.

Do you really want to give more power to persons who have done so much wickedness with the power that they have?

Acting Guilty

A friend with whom I rarely agree about anything chides me for not believing the “settled science” of Man-Made Global Warming, as brought to you by those impeccably honest and hardly-ever mistaken Climate Scientists and the Democrat Party.

So far I’ve been unable to make him understand why I don’t believe them. But let me try again, here.

I don’t believe these scientists, and the reason for my disbelief is very simple. They’re acting guilty. I may not be able to evaluate scientific reports and computer models, but I think I can evaluate human behavior. And this is the behavior that convinces me that these scientists are not worthy of belief.

When they refuse to debate the issue, or even answer questions, but just demand we take their word for it because “the science is settled, the debate is over” (when there never was a debate in the first place), they’re acting guilty.

When they exchange countless emails discussing how to “hide the decline” in global temperatures, how to dispose of unwanted data, how to discredit and demonize their critics, and how to deceive the public, they’re acting guilty.

When, instead of answering their critics, they lobby politicians to have their critics’ grants cut off, they lobby universities not to permit their critics’ children to enroll, and publicly demand that the government silence the dissenters, or even cast them into prison, they’re acting guilty.

When they go to court to block any viewing of their data or their research, and insist on keeping it secret, and not open to independent examination, they’re acting guilty.

When they hob-nob with and curry the favor of sleazy left-wing politicians who blatantly try to use “science” as a vehicle for their neo-Stalinist agenda, they’re acting guilty.

Enough “climate scientists” have engaged in the above activities to taint the whole movement. Given that their political sponsors demand our money and our lives as the price of their Saving the Planet, it seems damn near suicidal to trust any of these people to any degree at all.

I don’t trust them because they’re acting guilty.

How to End Income Inequality

Libs ‘n’ progs and other Democrats are at it again with Income Inequality. They indulge a superstitious belief that, if only government executes the right policy, there will be Income Equality.

Can I have a nice big house like Al Gore has, when that happens?

It seems they’ve discovered a 700-page tome by a French economist, Thomas Piketty, who says capitalism doesn’t work, we gotta have a global tax on everyone and much higher taxes on “the rich,” otherwise Income Inequality will destroy us, yatta-yatta blah-blah-blah.

As we all know, socialism produces a lot of Income Equality and communism produces even more. And Pol Pot’s little experiment in Cambodia produced more yet.

But for the greatest example ever of creating Income Equality, history directs our attention to South Africa in 1856.

Distressed by the encroachments of the British settlers, the Xhosa nation harkened to a prophetess who told them that the spirits of their ancestors would chase the British out of Africa–but only if the Xhosa people first destroyed their own crops and killed off all their cattle.

So they did. They trashed their fields and killed between 300,000 and 400,000 cattle.

And presto! No more Income Inequality! The fact that the Xhosa population went from 105,000 to 27,000 is only an annoyance.

Do you think this is an incredible story? It’s a fact of history: you could look it up ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nongqawuse ).

This is the only historical example of the problem of Income Inequality actually being solved, if only temporarily.

How Democrats Maul Nature

I’ve lived in the same town all my life.

When I was a boy, there was a spring 200 yards from our house. The whole neighborhood drank from it, and no one ever got sick.

When we wanted corn on the cob for supper, I got on my bike and pedaled 15 minutes to the nearest farm. Blackberries? They grew wild on every vacant lot in town. We had a woods to play in, a village in the woods–the people would bring you home if you got lost–a downtown section full of stores that had been in business for decades, ponds and swamps and fields… In short, it was very nice!

We have lived under Democrat rule, uninterrupted, since the mid-1960s. You would hardly recognize the place. Farms, springs, woodlands, villages, berry patches–all gone! As if they’d never existed. As if I’d only read about such places in fantasy stories, or dreamed them.

It’s all paved over now. High taxes make for a high turnover in businesses and residencies. It’s as if the sight of an acre of living plants incenses them, and must be wiped out at once.

And in all that time, not a day went by without our Democrat rulers–they see themselves as rulers–warning of the “environmental destruction” that would ensue if Republicans ever got in. What more the Republicans could do, by way of destruction, short of dropping an atomic bomb on the place, is inconceivable.

So the next time they tell you they’re only seizing a rancher’s land because they want to protect a turtle or a smelt, please bear in mind that you are listening to people who would pave over their mothers’ graves and annihilate any and all wildlife at the drop of a hat. Or at the drop of a bribe.

Yet Another IRS Abuse of Power

As if we weren’t already scared and distrustful enough of the Internal Revenue Service, now a new report by the Office of Special Council reveals still more lawlessness among the tax collectors. (Source: Washington Post news article quoted by Guy Benson today in “Watchdog: IRS Employees Told Taxpayers to Vote for Obama, Badmouthed GOP,” in townhall.com)

The Hatch Act, a federal law, prohibits the use of governmental agencies for partisan political purposes. You’d never guess that such a law was on the books, the way some IRS personnel behave.

During the 2012 election season, says the OSC report, IRS employees urged taxpayers to vote for Obama and chanted political slogans. Can you think of anything more unsettling than an IRS agent sitting at a desk across from you, chanting the president’s name while you’re trying to find out how much money you have to pay? At an IRS office in Dallas, says the report, IRS employees wore campaign stickers and “Vote for Obama” buttons, had Obama screensavers on their computers, and Obama posters on the walls. They even wore “Obama clothing,” whatever that may be.

.This is not only blatantly lawless. It’s also terribly intimidating. People are going to be thinking, “Oh, what will happen to me if I don’t vote for Obama, and they find out?”

Libs ‘n’ progs, of course, are scratching their heads, wondering what anybody’s so upset about. What’s wrong with totally ignoring the law?

This is what happens when you hand power over to amoral, immoral fanatics–and that’s what our country did in 2008.

The election and, even more, the re-election of Obama is a perpetual blot on America’s history, a shame that can never be wiped out.

I just wonder what they have to do to us, how much more they can do to us, before we’ve had enough.

My Answer to a Schlub

Yesterday some stunata on the Internet, confounded because I wasn’t buying into his vision of Big Government, Big Science, Big Sodomy, and atheism as the keys to the earthly paradise, responded with this rhetorical flash: “You still don’t get it, do you, grandpa?”

Yes, it makes me mad to be insulted by a pygmy. I will have to learn to ignore it. Someone calling you names online is like a monkey throwing feces at you from way up in the treetop. Nothing you can do about it. You might as well argue with a cinderblock.

So, let’s see… I am worthy of disrespect and contempt because I’m old. That’s the Loving Left for you. My ideas are invalid because I’m old.

And yet I’m able to feel some compassion for this clown.

You poor sap. Because I am old, I have seen better things than you will ever see, and known better people than you will ever know. Because I’ve had more time than you, and used it as wisely as I can, I have accumulated much more knowledge than you will ever have. Because I read, I have access to times before my own.

That’s how I know that your warmed-over citizen-of-the-world, softcore Stalinist, repackaged 1930s socialism never has worked, anywhere, and never will. Because you are ignorant, you think these are all hot new ideas.

Well, OK–“gender choice” does seem to be a new idea. But because you have been maleducated in the left-wing bantustan of the university system, you just can’t recognize a truly lousy idea when you see one.

Lefties are people who never outgrow their ignorance and immaturity. That’s why their most trusty devices of argumentation are to shout and call names. Sometimes physical assault is on the menu, too, when the opportunity presents itself.

I guess the only thing you can say for so much ignorance is that the poor schlub doesn’t know he’s ignorant and doesn’t feel his lack of understanding. A few words from Harry Reid, a few minutes watching MSNBC, and he’s as right as rain.

But I am sure I would have more compassion for them if they weren’t allowed to vote.

Parliament Seeks to Ban an Opinion

In the land where the Magna Carta was signed, and modern notions of liberty were born, there is a movement in the House of Commons to ban an opinion and to prevent the public from hearing it.

What opinion is that? Britain should have sharia law? The Queen is a space alien?

Nope: various members of the house want to silence other members who are guilty of the crime of “Climate Change skepticism.” Furthermore, these members want to order the BBC not to interview skeptics, or report their public comments, without first getting a special clearance from the government ( http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/environment/article4051905.ece ).

Liberty, the gift of God, established in England and America at such great cost in blood–our ruling classes and their nooze media lackeys are throwing it away with both hands. How many years do we have left, before they abolish it altogether?

Father in Heaven, deliver us out of the hands of these wicked and ungodly persons, for your own name’s sake. Amen.

Your FBI Is On The Job

All right, you British readers–stop snickering at the headline.

It’s true, though: the FBI is on the job. Just a few days ago they swooped down on a 91-year-old enemy of the people and seized the contents of his home museum, collected during a lifetime of world travel (see http://www.foxnews.com/us/2014/04/03/fbi-seizes-thousands-artifacts-at-indiana-property/?cn.pid=cmty_twitter_fn ).

Thousands of souvenirs from out-of-the-way places like Haiti, Australia, New Guinea, and Peru have been grabbed by the FBI. The FBI says, “The cultural value of these artifacts is immeasurable.”

The FBI admits the man acquired these objects legally. Well, at least without breaking any laws that were in force at the time.

Wait a minute. The guy committed no crime. He wasn’t hiding stolen goods. He was displaying these mementos in a museum. And the FBI sends armed men to his home, to grab all his stuff?

They say they’re going to give the artifacts back to their rightful owners. But wasn’t this old man in Indiana the rightful owner?

This current administration, including the Justice Dept. headed by Eric Holder, will go down in history as a byword for lawlessness, corruption, arrogance, incompetence, and sheer fecklessness.

The FBI is supposed to protect us from gangsters, not from old men with souvenir collections.

But when you have a government that’s run by gangsters, it does things that are not quite what you’d expect.

A Simple Formula for Tyranny

To understand events in this fallen world, in this haunted age, keep in mind this simple formula.

                         Science + Politics = Trouble

Trouble for who? Why, for you and me, of course. But also for those suckers who think they’re gonna be on top, but will surely wind up on the bottom with the rest of us.

Folks, this has roots running deep into the 19th century–this depraved dream that, if we harness the limitless and infallible powers of science to a political agenda, we’ll have paradise on earth. It rests on an elitist conviction, or rather a pagan religious conviction, that most people are hopeless idiots and they need a ruling class of scientific experts and political administrators to run their lives for them. Sort of like the way the Morlocks run the lives of the Eloi.

This is what Global Warming’s all about. This is why I spend so much time on it.

But it’s also what a great many people simply will not understand.

Please, people, please–open your eyes. Look at the world around us. To what country has more government ever brought more happiness?

As John Adams observed, if we were angels, we wouldn’t need any government at all. But there aren’t any angels in the government: and who is to govern those sinners who’ve been given so much power over others?

Be assured that they mean to cut down the tree of liberty and burn it to ashes. We can see them already floating their little trial balloons for communism. “Oh, well, sure–it didn’t work when Stalin did it: or Mao or Castro or any of those others. But now we are gonna run the show, and it’s gonna be great!”:

Please pay attention.

These people are more evil than you think.
