What We’re Up Against

Why do we have to pray so hard, sing so many hymns, and speak the truth?

Because we live in a fallen world that’s falling farther every day: but we proclaim our loyalty to Jesus Christ the King of kings.

For instance: The principal of Manchester Elementary School in Omaha, Nebraska, has been “placed on leave,” whatever that means, for banning candy canes from her school’s classrooms. Candy canes, she explained in a memo to all staff, when you turn ’em upside-down, make a “J” for Jesus and that’s not allowed, it is forbidden… (http://thepoliticalforums.com/threads/103592-Principal-bans-candy-canes-says-%E2%80%98J-shape%E2%80%99-stands-for-Jesus). “Historically, the shape is a J for Jesus,” she wrote. We wonder how close she came to banning the letter “j” altogether.

She also banned the colors red and green.

It seems the school board took action because they were scared of being sued for showing overt hostility to Christianity and Christians. Supreme Court recently said you can’t do that. But don’t look for any “human rights” commissions to stop doing it.

As it is, the traditional Christmas holiday that always used to be observed by schools is mostly now a thing not to be mentioned: now the holiday is usually spoken of as some kind of “winter” celebration.

Secular tinhorns can’t make up their minds about which religion they’re trying to establish as the official state religion of America–atheism or retro paganism. Either way, public education is on board. Anything but Jesus, is their motto.

And Christians continue to send their kids to these schools because ________?

We live in a dark age. Sing louder! It may let in some light.

Are They Winning the War on Christmas?

A word to live by: No one can do very wrong by going against the trends.

Somehow I missed this Pew Research report that came out last month (http://www.pewforum.org/2017/12/12/americans-say-religious-aspects-of-christmas-are-declining-in-public-life/), claiming “Shrinking majority believes the biblical account of the birth of Jesus depicts actual events,” etc.

At the heart of this report we have this. “Most U.S. adults believe–” the word “observe” would be more accurate–“the religious aspects of Christmas are emphasized less now than in the past.” Duh! Really! You mean, after a decades-long, concerted effort to mock and vilify Christians who believe the Bible, some people have either turned away from that belief or else keep quiet about it? Gosh, who’da thought it? Propaganda really works! Thank you, teachers’ unions, noozies, and lawsuit-happy lawyers.

You can be sure the nooze media were popping their buttons over this one, just like they do with every year’s just-in-time-for-Christmas “Christmas stinks” report.

Pew sez belief in the historical accuracy of the Biblical account of Christ’s birth is 57%, down from 65% in 2014. That’s just three years.

I take this with a boulder of salt. I don’t know how Pew phrased the questions, how they decided who to ask, and other details that can dramatically skew the outcome of a poll.

What to do?

Like a wise lady once said, “When things get darker and harder–sing louder!”

God’s will shall be done, no matter what people think. Actually, I don’t think He spends a lot of time worrying about trends in popular opinion. God will keep His promises, He will do what He has said He’ll do. And if people don’t want eternal life, forgiveness of sins, the healing of all hurts, and the restoration of the world… I guess that’s their lookout.

Humanists Sue to Stop Charity for Destitute Children

The most anti-human people in the world are humanists. Don’t believe me? Check this out.

Operation Christmas Child, in existence since 1993, asks school children to pack shoeboxes with small toys and basic necessities like a toothbrush, soap, etc. These are delivered to poor children throughout the world.

The American Humanist Association, parasites on the body politic, have sued–yes, sued–to stop this charity ( http://www.christiantoday.com/article/humanists.want.to.ban.christmas.shoebox.gifts.to.children.around.the.world/101100.htm ). Why? Because it’s done at Christmas-time by Christians, and each box contains a little Christmas message.

Better a child should have not so much as a toothbrush, reason the humanists, than he or she should be exposed to any mention of Christmas! Because it violates some non-existent “law” of separation and state–there is no such law written anywhere, nor has any such law ever been enacted–which somehow requires all of society in a predominantly Christian country to behave as if the official state religion were atheism.

I would like to see what would happen if someone defied these wicked persons. Can you actually be tossed into prison for committing an act of charity? Or is the “crime” to commit an act of charity in Jesus’ name?

You wouldn’t see these monsters suing if someone were handing out toothbrushes in the name of some despicable leftist–but of course humanist charities do not exist.

Too  bad the AHA didn’t have a chapter in India. They could have sued Mother Teresa.

And they would’ve, too.

God grant we don’t have to put up with this sort of thing much longer.

Good News, For Once!

Our esteemed colleague Robert Knight reports that the little town of Knightstown, Indiana, pop. 2,100, has given the what-for to the left-wing atheist bullies of the ACLU (  http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2016/12/aclu_sight_of_cross_on_public_tree_inflicts_irreparable_harm.html ).

It seems some atheist fat-head who didn’t even live there claimed he suffered “irreparable harm” when he drove through the town and happened to see a little cross atop the town’s Christmas tree. I wonder if he can see his reflection in a mirror.

The inevitable ACLU lawsuit was filed, and rather than be sued into bankruptcy, the town council removed the cross.

And so the people of Knightstown then provided themselves with hundreds of crosses and displayed them on their cars, store windows, and all over. Now you can’t go anywhere in Knightstown without seeing them.

This is wonderful news. All over the world, people are waking up to realize that they don’t have to take this anymore. The whole town does not have to knuckle under to some self-important idiot who wants to take away their Christmas.

We need much, much more of this! And maybe, by God’s gracious providence, the time has come for us to get it.

They’re at It Again–the Libs’ War on Christmas

They still don’t have a clue why they lost the presidency, both houses of Congress, 14 governorships, and a big bunch of state legislatures.

Well, a major reason is stuff like this.

The Hillsboro, Oregon, school district recently banned “all religious-themed [Christmas] decorations, including Santa Claus,” who, last time I looked, is not actually in the Bible (http://www.aol.com/article/news/2016/12/02/school-district-bans-santa-claus-from-classrooms/21619262/?icid=maing-grid7%7Cmain5%7Cdl1%7Csec3_lnk3%26pLid%3D162657855_htmlws-main-nb ).

Why? You can’t have Christmas because you gotta bow to the “diverse perspectives and beliefs of our community.” The two atheists and three Moslems get respect, but a thousand Christians don’t.

Although we do have to be careful here, because liberals just love to blame Muslims for their desire and decision to ban Christmas: they’ve done it before and they’ll do it again. They hear one atheist grumble, and that’s all they need.

Naturally when this high-handed and fat-headed decision was announced, there was a social media firestorm as normal people recoiled in disgust, so naturally the “educators” backed down a bit and said they’d only be “policing” classroom Christmas decorations if they were “over the top”?

Over the top? What does that mean? Why don’t they tell us precisely what that means?

Well, enjoy it, pipsqueaks, while you’ve still got it. Your days of pushing us around are coming to an end. If President Trump doesn’t smack you down, the American people will find someone who will.
