‘Save The Planet!’ Strikes Again

Always watching, always, for the wrong kind of car!

Across the sea in London they’ve found a new way to Save The Planet and make ordinary people’s lives complicated and miserable: simply declare big swathes of the city “Ultra Low Emission Zones,” put up hundreds of cameras to spy on people, and fine them big-time for “driving the wrong kind of car” (https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2023/08/cameras-go-punish-drivers-name-climate-change-vigilantes/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=cameras-go-punish-drivers-name-climate-change-vigilantes).

What’s the wrong kind of car? Oh, pretty much anything that you or I might be expected to own. Little fines, big fines, all kinds of fines.

So far they’ve got this covering 147 square miles with ULEZ, with plans for several hundred more. As by the wave of a magic wand, suddenly your car is the “wrong kind” and you’re up a tree. Residents are fighting back by vandalizing the cameras. They took out 96 cameras in May; more recent figures are not given.

Government, as George Washington observed, is “a dangerous servant and a fearful master.” Government is not your friend. It has become predatory, parasitic and increasingly insane. Some think of us as slaves, others as children: they do not mean us to be free.

God help us (I mean that literally) if we ever sink as far as Britain.

There are still some millions of people in the UK who haven’t yet received “the jab.” So the UK nooze media have found some “expert” from the University of Bristol who says “hard-core refuseniks” may have to be treated as “terrorists” and “deradicalized”–which I think probably means locked up and tortured (https://www.informationliberation.com/?id=62734).

And while they’re at it, the “expert” says, they might as well nail these people for Climate Change Denial, too. Don’t let good physical and psychological coercion go to waste.

Terrorists… Didn’t terrorists used to, like, blow up things? And kill people? Only now you can be a terrorist for simply refraining from having yourself shot up with some chemicals you’ve heard are more dangerous than the disease they’re supposed to treat. Or, over here in America, you become a terrorist by objecting to your local school board’s far Left Crazy policies. It’s never been easier to become a terrorist!

By the way, we are not told exactly what a “deradicalization” program would consist of. Once upon a time the United States and Britain fought against countries who did things like that. Now we sound like the villains in Bridge on the River Kwai.

Remember, O God, remember, O Judge of all the earth, that these things are done without our consent, against our will, and over our objections. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Left makes every place a prison.

Tomorrow is the 4th of July, the anniversary of our Declaration of Independence from England–now “the United Kingdom” because you can’t say “England” anymore.

Why did we need to fight a war for independence? Given the things that still go on in “the UK,” I’d say that was obvious. Like, for instance, this:

It seems the government has not yet taken action on this demand, but is supposedly making, ahem, “slow progress” toward the goal of telling writers what to write. And of course a nooze media full of self-hating, virtue-signalling, totally daft white liberals is responsible for 99% of the noise.

I do wish they had a planet of their own somewhere.
