By Request, ‘Angels We Have Heard on High’ (with Prayer Request)

I really didn’t want to write up any more nooze today, so I was happy when Joshua came up with this Christmas hymn request: Angels We Have Heard on High, by Fernando Ortega. Ah, that’s better!

Please join me in prayer.

O Lord our God! In Jesus’ name, please bless this Christmas season and give it power to work all throughout the year, every night and every day, to draw our hearts to Jesus Christ and move us to work and pray for His Kingdom. Amen.

By Request, ‘Angels We Have Heard on High’

I’ve tried to program this wonderful hymn to be posted tomorrow, while we’re out scrambling around to buy a Christmas tree and Christmas dinner before we get the torrential rains that are in the forecast for the next day.

Requested by Phoebe, the Christendom College Choir with Angels We Have Heard on High. I think you’ll be glad if you turn up the volume!

Oops. If I’ve done this right, “tomorrow” is “today.”

By Request, ‘Angels We Have Heard on High’

An old favorite, requested by Joshua–Angels We Have Heard on High, by Acapella.

I’m always much impressed by people who have mastered the art of using their voices as musical instruments, for the glory of God–maybe because I can’t.

‘Angels We Have Heard on High’

I’ve got a pile of stuff to edit for Chalcedon, the “check engine” light keeps coming on in Patty’s car, somebody’s dog has been allowed to poo all over the place and guess who stepped in it, I took a bike ride and soon discovered my seat was soaking wet–so I think I need another Christmas carol.

Angels We Have Heard on High: I don’t know who this is, singing it, but I like it. I like it a lot.

Christmas Must Keep Working

This is the song I woke up with this morning–Angels We Have Heard on High, performed by I don’t know who: I wish I could give him credit by name.

There are dark and evil forces strenuously at work in our time, and Christmas needs to work on our hearts all year round. Easter, too! Our weapons are spiritual, our shield is faith, our sword is the word of God.

Listen, listen, listen for the angels…

‘Angels We Have Heard on High’

How about this to start your day? A traditional choir sings a traditional French carol, Angels We Have Heard on High. Come on, now–this has got to get you in the spirit!

Requested by Erlene. Waiting to hear from more of you!

Hymn, ‘Angels We Have Heard on High’

I couldn’t wait till tomorrow to post this. It’s an old French hymn, and I love it. Angels We Have Heard on High–right out of the Gospel of Luke. I hope you enjoy it, as I do.

P.S.–I fully expected someone to win the Comment Contest today, but things kind of ground to a halt this afternoon. If you post the 4,000th comment here, you win one of my books.
