‘Kicking the Dead’ (2018)

There’s nothing quite so Loving Left as abusing the dead. They do it all the time: for two cents they’d dig up the corpse and kick it down the stairs. You’ve seen how they react when anyone who isn’t them dies. It’s not pretty.

It’s a measure of how toxic their evil is, that lately conservatives have been whooping it up when a big-name leftid dies.

Kicking the Dead

This is creepy. We’ll be tearing down statues next, and desecrating tombs–just like they do.

Anthony Bourdain was not a prince. He was a big fat leftist. But to whoop it up because he died–because he killed himself–no, that’s not nice. Not nice at all. You could pick up a spiritual pollution.

Let’s save the slings and arrows for live villains. The ones that have to be thoroughly defeated if we’re to have any peace. And leave the dead in peace.

How’s this for an alarming bit of nooze? “[A] documentary filmmaker used voice-cloning software to make the late chef Anthony Bourdain say words he never spoke” (https://www.pressreader.com/usa/the-columbus-dispatch/20210718/281629603285103).

Oh, it was only “a snippet of dialogue,” says the filmmaker. But it’s still managed to inspire a major ethics flap–as well it should.

Bourdain died in 2018; and of course the dead can’t defend themselves, and can’t explain or elaborate upon words put in their mouths by others. We can easily see where this might lead.

“Hi! I’m Ronald Reagan–and I just want to confess to you that all that stuff I used to say about limiting the power of the government, peace through strength, etc.–well, it was all a load of bull. I never meant a word of it! But once I started deceiving the American people, I just couldn’t give it up!”

(“But I saw the video on YouTube! He really did say that!”)

Or we might hear Phyllis Schlafly saying she only opposed the Equal Rights Amendment because she wanted America to be The Handmaid’s Tale. The opportunities for mischief are unlimited.

Little snippets of dialogue. Hot dog.

Dennis Praeger says truth has no value for the Left. He’s right: putting words in the mouths of the dead would be only another tool for them to advance their agenda.

We already have way too much lying going on. We can’t say which would be worse–for people to believe the lies, and base public policy on them; or for the people to learn that they can’t believe anything they hear from anyone.

Cut a society loose from God and see what happens.

It won’t be good.

Kicking the Dead

It was a shock, this morning, to hear of the suicide of celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain, who hanged himself in a French hotel room (https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-06-08/anthony-bourdain-found-dead-after-commiting-suicide-hanging). We’d read one of this books, seen him often on TV.

Bourdain hosted a show on CNN and was, of course, a far-left liberal. I have been accused of hating liberals. Well, I hate what they stand for, I hate what they say, and I hate what they do. I hate what they’ve done to my country. To my world.

But even the ancient pagans knew it’s not right to abuse the dead. Achilles was wrong to desecrate the dead body of Hector.

I linked to the “Zerohedge” article in case you want to see the brutally vicious comments and the lurid rejoicing in Bourdain’s death. It’s really rather hellish; I mean in a literal sense.

We’re used to liberals doing this, whenever anybody dies who ever crossed them in the least little way. They hope he suffered. They curse and mock his family. They go on and on about it. For two cents they’d dig up the corpse and stomp on it.

Anthony Bourdain, while he lived, lined up with wicked and ungodly people. Now he’s dead, and by his own hand. It ought to move us to at least a twinge of sympathy.

But no–some of us now imitate liberals, and attack the dead. What? Have we no more enemies alive? Have we run out of enemies? Is there no one left trying to turn our whole world into a hell-hole and a freak show? We’ll be pulling down monuments next.

I’m not one of those bow-tie simpering jive conservatives who wants to take any and all abuse from leftids and never fight back, mewling that “We’re better than that.” I want to defeat liberalism, totally and forever. I want to win. We can be nice again after we win. After there are no more pushes for open borders, transgenderism, same-sex pseudomarriage, and all the rest of that citizen of the world crapola.

It’s the living who need to be knocked to the canvas and counted out for good, not the dead. It’s cowardly to kick the dead.
