Cat Minds the Baby

What do you do when the baby gets antsy and looks like he might any moment erupt? Search me. But some babies apparently can be left to… the cat. Somehow the cat knows what to do. This won’t work with a large frog, but some cats are really good at minding a baby. My mother probably missed a bet by not having a cat for her babies.

Baby Loves Cat

I think I probably posted this video once before, but gimme a break, I’m full of fried lobster and in serious need of a nap.

Anyway… Is this the world’s most enthusiastic little baby, or is it just the cat that gets this reaction? What eloquent facial expressions this baby has! The cat seems somewhat less enthusiastic. But don’t worry, baby–there are a lot of cats who’d be tickled pink to cuddle up with you. They’re all over youtube: just borrow one from another video.

Your Furry Baby-Sitter

The baby’s crying, she’s working herself into a state–and watch the cat spring into action. Obviously Kitty has had a lot of practice at this, and knows exactly what to do. And if you ask me, that’s one lucky baby: God has tossed an extra blessing her way.

Cats & Babies: The Enigma

We’ve seen a lot of video of cats and babies really hitting it off together; but here the cats appear to be confused. Read the cat’s mind: “What is this thing? Is it a new kind of printer?” Makes you wonder if a cat really understands just what a baby is.

By the way, this is the first time I have used the word “enigma” in a headline. I am sure it has great potential.

Babies & Cats: The Epic

This is pretty long for a cat video on this site–seven minutes–but I’m fascinated by the way so many babies really hit it off with cats. It would have horrified my mother. What is it about cats that babies find so irresistible? But then maybe the babies are wondering the same sort of thing about us.

Cozy Cats & Babies

Look how good these cats are with babies! God’s stuff functioning as it naturally does.

Then again, I can absolutely hear my mother’s shriek of pure horror at seeing her baby and a cat sharing the same pacifier. Ma, relax! It’s actually good for the kid’s immune system, a poster in the doctor’s office says so.

PS–Just so I can see if it’s working, I’d be much obliged if some of you would share this on Facebook. The management thanks you in advance.

More Cats and Babies

Cats and human babies have something in common. Obviously, both have minds in which various things go on–things which fascinate us, but about which we can only speculate because neither cats nor babies can tell us what they’re thinking. And for my next question–does the one know what the other’s thinking?

Sanity Break: Dogs & Cats & Babies

This has just gotta be so good for a baby! Well, my doctor says it leads to a stronger immune system, and he should know. But it must be wonderful for a baby, spiritually and emotionally, to love and be loved by some big, warm, cuddly critter.

Be honest, now–if it had been you instead of God creating the world, would you have thought of this?

Cats & Babies: The Prequel

Gee, I made that sound like one of those stupid movies about comic book superheroes, didn’t I?

We’ve seen a lot of video of cats and babies cuddling and playing together. But it doesn’t happen like magic. A new baby takes some getting used to, especially if you’re a cat who’s never seen a human baby before.

Can a cat figure out that this is the human equivalent of a kitten? Or does he think this is some different kind of critter altogether?

Beats me. Ask a dog.

Don’t Cry, Baby–Kitty’s Here

Go ahead, tell me this cat doesn’t know what she’s doing!

Really, how cool is this? Baby starts to cry, kitty springs into action, and there we have it–baby is comforted.

God’s stuff is awesome!
