No likes, no comments, no hymn requests today so far; but I do have this hymn in mind. One of eight or nine thousand hymns that Fanny Crosby wrote: He Hideth My Soul, sung on a beach in Hawaii by students from Fountainview Academy.
I’m glad they didn’t try to bring a piano down the cliff.
No hymn requests yet: so I dip into my bag of favorites and come up with a good old Sunday school favorite, Wonderful Words of Life, played and sung by the students at Fountainview Academy.
How they get that piano into the woods is a mystery to me.

I had a hankering for this hymn today; and as there are no hymn requests as yet this morning, and none pending–well, why not? To God Be the Glory, in a mountain meadow, performed by the students at Fountainview Academy.
There are so many beautiful renditions of this hymn. Here’s one by the kids at Fountainview Academy–What a Friend We Have in Jesus. This is a real Sunday school favorite; and a few people have told me they like it when I whistle it as I walk through their neighborhood.
I don’t want to turn myself into a DJ, but we need these hymns to remind us that God is with us, whatever happens. It’s an antidote to the nooze.
