‘Beauty Beyond Bones’ on ‘Oprah and the Golden Globes’

My fellow blogger Beauty Beyond Bones has nailed it.

Not that we want women donning  burqas: but it’s kind of hard to reconcile “I am not a sexual object” with all the slimy content that oozes out of Hollywood.

But these dolts want to be prudes and libertines at the same time. And it won’t work.

How Will They Handle the Golden Globes?

Oh, boy! Tomorrow is the Golden Globes! I’ll be sure not to watch it.

Traditionally an orgy of self-congratulation and puffery, this year’s Golden Globes will have a rather large skeleton at the feast–dozens and dozens of sexual harassment and misconduct accusations leveled at some of the biggest names in show biz (https://www.reuters.com/article/awards-goldenglobes-preview/party-or-not-golden-globes-proves-test-for-hollywood-sex-scandal-idUSL1N1OT1C2).

They want to yell “How great we are!”, while at the same time affirming their commitment to feminism… which has accused their industry of being a plague spot, morally. How are they going to swing it so their jokes don’t fall flat?

For six or seven decades Hollywood has labored feverishly to wipe out all traces of Christian sexual morality in America, with enthusiastic support from Democrats, the teachers’ unions, and the–ahem!–universities. Really, who can deny it? Movies, TV shows, commercials–it’s been all sex, all the time.

And then they’re astonished when all sorts of people start behaving like they’ve been told they ought to behave–as insatiable sex maniacs? That surprises them?

We live in an exciting time, when people want to be prudes and libertines simultaneously. I mean, there are movies and TV shows out there whose content would make a hyena blush. And somehow attendance at movies is way, way down. Go figure.

And they’re amazed that those who make these movies behave like the characters in them? Here at Chez Leester, we’ve turned off movies after just ten or fifteen minutes, they were so vile.

Hollywood has sown poison seed, and now they have to eat the fruit of it. Bon appetite.

More Hollywood, More B.S.

Empty buckets make the most noise.

If Hollywood liberals–I admit it’s a tautology–didn’t have a double standard, they’d have no standards at all.

At this year’s Golden Globes wing-ding, a bunch of Hollywood amoebas got together to talk about how great they are, and along the way, Meryl Streep gave the inevitable Down With Donald Trump speech ( http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4100774/Meryl-Streep-slams-Donald-Trump-Golden-Globes-acceptance-speech.html ) in which she accused the president-elect of “mocking” a disabled “reporter” who supposedly proved we never saw what we saw on September 11, 2001, in regard to Muslims celebrating the atrocity by dancing in the streets. Nope, never happened: you ordrinary dum peple only thoughted you seen it. Streep called Trump a “bully.” Ooooooh! Like, touche!

Where were these Hollywood jidrools when President *Batteries Not Included, who throws like a girl, mocked the Special Olympics?

Where were they when Democrats mocked Texas gubernatorial candidate Greg Abbott, who won anyhow, for being disabled and confined to a wheelchair? It was open season on him for months!

And as for “bullying”–well, what else would you call it when libs unleash the whole dreadful power of the government on a defenseless Christian baker because he declined to take part in a homosexual parody of marriage?

Nor have they had much to say about the BLM thugs in Chicago who abducted, beat, and tortured a partially disabled young white man and posted it on the social media for everyone to see.

Because people watch their stupid movies, these dung beetles think we care about what they say. Actually, we don’t.
