Here are several different kittens getting acquainted with a baby chick. If you need any more fluffiness than this, there’s something wrong with you. Anyhow, they’d better watch out–the chick might bond to one of the kittens and then you won’t be able to pry them apart.
Why don’t the kittens try to eat the chick? Simple: because their mother hasn’t taught them to hunt, they’re too young. I’ve learned from experience that if the mother cat doesn’t teach it, the cat won’t know how to do it.
Are they afraid of cats and dogs and puppies? No way! Are they sweet and affectionate with their pet humans? See for yourself! Will they just stand there and watch while some kid runs away with their food? Not likely!
And I’d better not show too many of these videos, or I won’t be able to eat chicken anymore. I knew I was headed for trouble when I started feeling warm and friendly to the blowfish I was catching off the dock…
Who ever expects to see a chicken chasing a horse? I mean, the roosters in this video are out to take no prisoners and they don’t care if the targets of their wrath are many times bigger than themselves. Like–a horse? Rooster’s got to be kidding.
Of course, you could always just stand still and wait for the punch line…

It is said that Alfred Hitchcock, “the Master of Suspense,” never had much to do with cats and chickens. I will not attempt at this time to involve myself in that discussion.
This is fascinating. The hen raised a cat to adulthood, and is now helping the cat raise her kittens. The hen won’t let any of the other chickens into the hen-house while the kittens are there–except for her own daughter, who helps her (hey, somebody help me with a verb here!) tend to the kittens.
Mere biological machines–what bunk.
I don’t know quite how to explain this, but something about the way chickens run always delights me when I see it. And we also have roosters who usurp cats’ dinners. I don’t suppose there are many shy roosters.
I’ve heard domestic chickens can’t fly in any meaningful sense of the word. Some of you have or had had chickens. Did any of them ever fly away?
No, we’re not talking about another Democrat presidential candidate. Jimmy is a real turkey who shares a barnyard with a tribe of chickens; and I think there might be ducks or geese in the background who are camera-shy. This is starting to sound like a Freddy the Pig book…

Do you get the impression this dog wants the chicken to chase him? I do. I’d also like to see what would happen if she caught him. But I don’t think the hen is giving it quite her all.
Gee whiz, all she did was open the chicken coop to let them out for the day. You’d think they’d be grateful. But no–that’s not the Funky Chicken that she’s dancing. That dance is called “Oh, s***, they pecked me again!” Looks like this poor lady gets a lot of practice.
You just don’t think of chickens chasing people; but they do. Okay, it’s mostly little people. Children. No adult is going to let himself or herself be filmed fleeing in terror from an angry chicken. I mean, you’d never live it down, would you?
