New from J & J: ‘Great Is Thy Faithfulness’

Moving on to something considerably more wholesome than the last post–

We have our dear friends and colleagues, Joshua and Jeremy Swanson, with a new hymn, Great Is Thy Faithfulness.

(I wonder how many takes they need to produce one of these videos.)

‘Shall We Gather at the River?’

There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most high…   –Psalm 46:4

I feel a need for this particular hymn this morning–Shall We Gather At the River?, sung by Tennessee Ernie Ford. Gather with the saints at the river… Yes, I want to be there for that.

”Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus’

(Don’t mind the blurry picture. The video is not like that.)

Looking for a hymn this morning… Ah! Here’s a nice one, a good old one: ‘Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus, sung by the Altar of Praise Men’s Chorale.

By Request, ‘Master, the Tempest Is Raging’

Phoebe picked out a nice hymn for us–Master, the Tempest is Raging, performed by Crescendo. (See all the brothers and sisters we have in India? Christ’s church is not shrinking.) She also posted the video within her comment–I’ve never been able to do that successfully.

By Request, ‘True-hearted, Whole-hearted, Faithful & Loyal’

SlimJim picked a nice hymn for us this morning: True-hearted, Whole-hearted, Faithful and Loyal, sung by the Dallas Christian Adult Concert Choir. I’ve never heard it before.

We’ll never run out of hymns; so if you have one you’d like to share, just let us know.

By Request, ‘Grace Greater Than Our Sin’

Requested by SlimJim, Grace Greater Than Our Sin, sung by the choir at the Pilgrim Mennonite Mission.

(All day yesterday and all last night my allergies were killing me, and I won’t be done with this until sometime this afternoon. So I’d appreciate whatever prayers could be tossed my way. Thank you.)

Joshua & Jeremy, ‘In the Sweet By and By’

It’s been too long since I posted anything by our dear friends and esteemed colleagues, Joshua and Jeremy Swanson. In The Sweet By and By is a special treat because they sing it, too.

I’d try a music video, only I can’t sing and play the harmonica at the same time.

By Request, ‘Make Me a Captive, Lord’

Requested by Susan: Make Me a Captive, Lord, sung by students from Fountainview Academy–standing under a banyan tree on their visit to Hawaii.

If you have a hymn you’d like to share here, just let us know, and we’ll post it for you.

By Request, ‘For the Beauty of the Earth’

Here’s a good old Sunday school favorite, requested by Thewhiterabbit–For the Beauty of the Earth, sung here by Michelle Swift.

I have a doctor’s appointment this morning, so I’m up early to get this day’s blog started.

‘Trust and Obey’

I just felt like hear this–an old Sunday school favorite, Trust and Obey. I do wish I knew who’s singing it–beautiful harmony, and background sets by God the Father.
