The Ends of All the Earth Shall Sing’

Joshua and Jeremy play The Ends of All the Earth Shall Hear. I feel like it’s been a long time since I posted one of their hymns. Well, better late than never.

‘This World Is Not My Home’

We have one from Joshua & Jeremy today (let’s hear it for the Swanson Bros.!): This World Is Not My Home.

God has redeemed this world, His creation, with the blood of Jesus Christ.

A redeemed (and cleaned-up) world is a new one.

‘Will the Circle Be Unbroken?’

We have an instrumental of this good old hymn, performed by our dear friends the Swanson Brothers, Joshua and Jeremy: Will the Circle Be Unbroken? I found it very moving, even without the lyrics.

‘Victory in Jesus’

Nooze, nooze, nooze… How about something wholesome and edifying for a change?

Here’s one from our friends Joshua and Jeremy–Victory in Jesus. I daresay we all need it. Thanks, fellas.

Bonus Hymn: ‘What Wondrous Love Is This’

By the time Saturday rolls around, I’m ready to scream whenever I hear nooze. Sometimes it’s hard to remember that God is not on strike, he has not looked at our world and said, “That’s what they want, eh? Well, let’s see how they like it when they’ve got it!”

So here’s a bonus hymn, instead of yet another political nooze item. Joshua and Jeremy, What Wondrous Love Is This.

Better than the nooze.

‘Be Still, My Soul’

No hymn requests this morning, but here’s a treat: our friends and esteemed colleagues, Joshua and Jeremy–with Scott Swanson on the keyboard–give us Be Still, My Soul. Many of us know this melody as Finlandia, by Sibelius.

‘Come Thou Almighty King’ (Joshua & Jeremy)

This was a favorite hymn in the church that I grew up in–Some Thou Almighty King. Our friends and esteemed colleagues Joshua and Jeremy will play it for us. Click “CC” for lyrics if you want to sing along.

‘Blessing & Honor & Glory & Power’

I’ve never heard this hymn before–Blessing and Honor and Glory and Power–but we have it for you here today, performed by our own friends and esteemed colleagues, Joshua and Jeremy Swanson.

The hymn shop’s open all day, folks; and we’re taking requests.

‘I Hear Thy Welcome Voice’

Here’s a hymn I’ve never heard before–I Hear Thy Welcome Voice, performed by Joshua and Jeremy. Keep ’em comin’, guys. We don’t have to worry about running out of hymns.

‘Jesus Saves’ (Swanson Brothers)

One of my favorite hymns, Jesus Saves (also known as We Have Heard the Joyful Sound), as played by Joshua and Jeremy Swanson, our friends and esteemed colleagues. Guys, it’s okay to sing it while you play it.
