Our dear friends the Swanson Brothers have grown up right before our eyes–it didn’t seem to take any time at all!
Today they have for us This World Is Not My Home, with lyrics so you can sing along.

This hymn was part of my childhood. My mother and my aunts used to sing it as they did their housework. Here it is again, sung by the Choir Masters Assn. in Chennai, India–Just As I Am (Without One Plea).
[P.S.–Please pray for us. We are looking for a doctor for Patty, and have to walk on eggs until we find one.]
No hymn requests today, I guess I’m on my own again. [Hymn pops into his mind.] All right, why not, how about this? To God Be the Glory, performed by students at Fountainview Academy.
And now it’s time to medicate the cat…
No hymn requests today, so I’m on my own. Let’s go with Fairest Lord Jesus, with some of the students at Fountainview Academy.
Anyone can request a hymn to be posted here, you know. Anyone. All you have to do is ask.
I haven’t posted this hymn in a while, have I? All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name.
We sang this a lot in Sunday school and church; but in our hymnal, the lyrics were set to the melody of O Come, All Ye Faithful. I can’t find that version anywhere.
Our friends and esteemed colleagues, Joshua and Jeremy Swanson, have an instrumental hymn for us–Praise Him! Praise Him!–with lyrics so you can sing along. This is another one of Fanny Crosby’s nine thousand hymns.
My Aunt Millie used to sing this hymn as she did her housework. The pastor of her church called her “Our ewe lamb.” She was very well loved.
No hymn requests this morning. Well, the hymn shop’s open–come on in.
It’s been too long since I’ve posted this wonderful old Sunday school favorite. Yield Not to Temptation, sung by Nathan (mandolin) and Lyle (guitar), somewhere in Denton County, Texas. And if you don’t have a music studio, your living room will do just fine.
I couldn’t pass this up: Joshua and Jeremy, and When the Saints Go Marching In–with lyrics, so you can sing along.
Don’t be in the wrong parade when the saints go marching in.
I haven’t posted this for us in a while, have I? The Son of God Goes Forth to War, sung by Joe Stout–but the image of a conquering Church is not popular in these days of “go along to get along.”
The hymn shop’s open, boys ‘n’ girls… and not very crowded, just now.
