We Can’t Give These Shirts Away!

shirt

These unbelievably cool T-shirts are prizes in our current comment contest. The goal is 75,000 comments, we have just under 500 to go–and today there’s not a single comment here. Not yet, at least.

I know this is a lousy photo. What it says on the shirt (glorious MAGA red with white lettering) is, “If they have to kill us, they’ve lost –Lee Duigon.” Wear it to the next BLM rally and get physically assaulted!

I’m just itching to give these out as prizes, but where are the comments?

The contest is open to everyone, and almost anything goes… except profanity, personal attacks on othe readers, or comments just so hopelessly stupid that they cry out for deletion.

If you don’t want the shirt, you can win an autographed book. Your choice!

Win a DIY Statue of Mervyn Puncho!

Ronaldo statue: Sculptor Emanuel Santos takes another shot at bust - BBC News

Who says we never have any good prizes around here?

Yes, it’s Mervyn Puncho, a legendary celebrity who needs no introduction, so I won’t give him one. And if you can win the current comment contest, he’s all yours!

True, he’s missing from the neck down. You’ll have to sculpt the rest of him yourself. Won’t that be fun? Or you can just mount the head on the hood of your car and make your neighbors jealous.

So let’s go! We’re looking for 75,000 comments, we have less than 1,000 to go, it’s taking forever and if Mervyn Puncho can’t speed things up, then I give up.

Comment Contest: 1,000 to Go

shirt

It’s taking forever, but now we have just under 1,000 comments to go to reach our milestone of 75,000. And the lucky winner who posts No. 75,000 will win one of these really cool T-shirts. It’s in MAGA red, to make leftids grind their teeth, and the caption says, “If they have to kill us, they’ve lost. –Lee Duigon”.

Or you can win an autographed copy of one of my books.

Please follow this blog. The bad guys at Google will hate it if you do; they’re trying to bury me, and doing a pretty good job of it. Well, not just me: they want to stifle all conservative bloggers, and they do it by manipulating the search engines to make our blogs and comments hard to find.

Time was we’d rack up another 1,000 comments in a couple weeks. Now it’ll probably take months. *sigh* At the rate we’re going, I’ve got enough shirts to last the rest of the century.

I’m not asking you for money, I’m not even asking you to buy my books (although that would be very nice and I’d be very happy to see it). I’m just asking you to visit as often as you can while I tread water.

A Sloooooooow Comment Contest

Quokka smiles mask pain on Rottnest Island - ABC News

On our way to 75,000 comments, we have 1,200 left to go and it’s taking forever.

This is because somebody out there in Google-land played with the search engines and stripped this blog of more than 100 views a day. That’s 3,000 a month… lost.

G’day (or not!), Byron the Quokka here, exhorting you to pepper us with comments. I’d exhort you to visit this blog, only if you’re here already, the message is wasted, and if you’re not here, you won’t see it.

So far today, only three comments.

What do you get for posting Comment No. 75,000? I’d like to say, “Your face on Mount Rushmore,” but I’m not sure I can back it up. But you will get a cool T-shirt that says “If they have to kill us, they’ve lost.” Or an autographed book. Your choice.

So hard to attract new readers when they stuff you down to the bottom of the search engines’ barrel! A lot of Christian and conservative bloggers have been hit with this.

Comments, please? Hello, hello?

1,500 Left to Go

Shhh! Don’t wake Byron the Quokka. He’s worked hard, trying to gin up comments for the comment contest, and now he needs his beauty sleep. He usually dreams of bicycles.

On our way to 75,000 comments, we now have 73,500. Not too many months ago, before the Oligarchy decided my site’s traffic needs to be suppressed, we’d’ve knocked off another 1,500 comments in a week or two. Now, I don’t know.

The prize for posting Comment No. 75,000 will be either an autographed copy of my new book, The Wind from Heaven (it’s just about ready for publication), or else one of those cool T-shirts that says “If they have to kill us, they’ve lost. –Lee Duigon”–your choice.

We had the gold mask of Tutankhamen for a while, but the quokkas didn’t like it and anyway the Cairo Museum wanted it back…

So Where’s the Comments?

You’d think a birthday party would be a great place to collect comments, even if it is only an imaginary birthday party. And don’t give me imaginary comments!

G’day, Byron the Quokka here at the Leester’s birthday party; and I never get a day off from being in charge of comment contests. This party’s off to a slow start, and we have only four comments so far. I told him we should’ve made the prize a bicycle, but did he listen? Not him!

Instead, you can win an autographed book or this cool T-shirt:

Yeah, I know that picture is just awful. What it says on the shirt is, “If they have to kill us, they’ve lost  –Lee Duigon”. You can count on it to start a conversation anywhere.

But first things first! Nobody wins anything until we get to 75,000 comments! We have passed 73,000, so we have less than 2,000 left to go. Will some of you please stop playing Pin the Tail on the Donkey and post some comments? Anyone would think I couldn’t do this job!

Meanwhile, the Comment Contest…

Meet the Quokka: The Happiest Animal in the World - My Animals

What the dickens is this? We’ve got a comment contest running, on our way to 75,000 comments–and we’ve got one today? One? At that rate, the contest won’t be over until sometime in 2025.

G’day–or not. Byron the Quokka here, trying to rally the troops because obviously Lee has no idea what he’s doing. Really, several of us quokkas have been trying to train him, but he hasn’t been up to speed since 1971.

Meanwhile, the Bad Guys out there have got us shadow-banned and we need extraordinary efforts now to accomplish ordinary things! (Did that come out right?)

You folks who’ve never commented before–we need you! We need everybody. Let’s have some comments already! Show the bad guys that they can’t keep us down. Witty, insightful, sagacious, and sometimes funny or even indignant comments–and you’re all welcome to join in.

Let’s hear it!

At Least the Comment Counter Works

shirt

Well, I thought it worked. Must’ve pressed the wrong button: the post I was almost done writing has disappeared. *Sigh* Fap.

Our new comment counter tells us that we now have over 73,000 comments in the can, short of our goal of 75,000. A few months ago, we would’ve polished that off in two weeks, maybe three. Now that they’ve gutted my search engine ranking and shoved my readership back down to 2016 levels, I don’t know how long it’ll take. *Sigh* Fap.

If you win, you’ll receive one of these cool T-shirts with the message, “If they have to kill us, they’ve lost. –Lee Duigon.” Amaze and awe your friends. Terrify your enemies. Or you can hold out for an autographed book instead.

Now let’s see if I can post this before it disappears.

Yes, There is a Comment Contest

shirt

Our Comment Counter is working its way to 73,000, and when it gets to 75,000, we’ll have a winner. And if it’s you, the prize is either an autographed book or one of those cool T-shirts pictured above. In real life the shirt won’t be out of focus. It will clearly read,

“If they have to kill us, they’ve lost. –Lee Duigon”

Lately our viewer numbers have sunk back to where they were in 2015 or so, which is very discouraging. So it’ll take longer than anticipated to get to 75,000 comments. I suspect that some mischief has been done to this blog, perhaps inadvertently, but I’m not tech-savvy enough to figure it out.

You can, of course, comment as many times as you like, and the contest is open to all.

3,000 Comments to Go!

Meet the Quokka

G’day! Byron the Quokka here–your comment contest manager.

Some of you might not have noticed yet, but the other day tech wiz Jill created a running Comment Count for the home page. No kidding–you could sit there by the hour and watch the comments pile up.

Slowly!

You’d think, what with this exciting new feature, and unique special T-shirts now available as prizes, that the comments would be pouring in and we’d get to 75,000 in no time. But whatever happened to this blog on Jan. 17 is still happening and we just can’t get the kind of traction we had a couple months ago.

Anyway, like the Leester says, in anything like this, 90% of what you want done gets done by 10% of the people. Be it a chess club, a softball team, a company, or a church.

I’m happy to say that doesn’t apply to quokkas!
