‘To God Be the Glory’

No requests from readers yet today, so I’ll go with one of my favorite hymns–To God Be the Glory, sung by the Apostolic Christian Men’s Group. While you’re listening, check out the lyrics by Fanny Crosby. And the background sets by God the Father.

‘Blessed Assurance’

Here’s one of the eight or nine thousand hymns written by Fanny Crosby, this one in 1873–Blessed Assurance, sung by the Harpeth Gospel Quartet. No hymn requests from any of the readers today, so I’m on my own.

By Request, ‘Draw Me Nearer’

That last nooze story really cheesed me off–not good for the ol’ blood pressure. I turn to a hymn as an antidote.

Requested by Phoebe, a classic hymn by Fanny Crosy, a Sunday school favorite–Draw Me Nearer. And I wish I could tell you who was singing it, so we could thank him. Well, thank you, whoever you are.

Encore: ‘He Hideth My Soul’

(We haven’t had any hymn requests from readers since WordPress jumbled up the comments. It’s not my fault! Still working on trying to fix it.)

We can’t do better than a classic hymn by Fannie Crosby–He Hideth My Soul, performed by the Antrim Mennonite Choir.

‘Safe in the Arms of Jesus’

No hymn requests yet today, and I’m probably at work earlier than is good for me… So let’s have this: One of the eight or nine thousand hymns written by Fanny Crosby, Safe in the Arms of Jesus. Sung by the Altar of Praise Chorale.

‘Jesus, Keep Me Near the Cross’

We haven’t heard this hymn in a while, have we? Jesus, Keep Me Near the Cross–a dear old classic by Fanny Crosby, sung here by the Smucker Family. Background sets by God the Father.

‘Blessed Assurance’ (Joshua & Jeremy)

Our dear friends and colleagues Joshua and Jeremy produced this video for Father’s Day–a classic hymn by Fanny Crosby, Blessed Assurance.

When we first posted these videos, Jeremy was this little guy, Joshua’s little brother. Now he’s the big guy. Seems like only yesterday, doesn’t it?

‘He Hideth My Soul’

It’s been a while since I posted this hymn–He Hideth My Soul, a classic hymn by Fanny Crosby. She wrote eight or nine thousand hymns, you know. I wonder how long it would take to play all of them.

‘He Hideth My Soul’

No likes, no comments, no hymn requests today so far; but I do have this hymn in mind. One of eight or nine thousand hymns that Fanny Crosby wrote: He Hideth My Soul, sung on a beach in Hawaii by students from Fountainview Academy.

I’m glad they didn’t try to bring a piano down the cliff.

By Request, ‘Blessed Assurance’

I don’t want anybody thinking I’m going to turn into a DJ or anything like that; but I do mean to keep on posting hymns as requested.

Erlene got fed up with the nooze and asked me to post this instead–a classic hymn by Fanny Crosby, Blessed Assurance, sung by the Harpeth Gospel Quartet.
