Respect ‘Public Officials’–Or Else

LILLE, FRANCE - FEBRUARY 07: A demonstrator holds a panel with a picture of french President Emmanuel Macron reading "pensioners, I will bleed you"as demonstrators march through the streets of Lille in protest of the pension reform on February 07, 2023 in Lille, France. Protests have been taking place across …

Actually there are lots of people in France who don’t respect this dindle.

A French court has sentenced a 77-year-old man to “re-education” for hanging up a banner that’s something less than adulatory to President Emmanuel Macron (https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2023/05/04/french-pensioner-sentenced-to-reeducation-after-insulting-president-emmanuel-macron/).

In France it’s against the law “to show contempt for public officials.” This from the folks who used to gather round the guillotine.

That slurping sound you hear out there is U.S. Democrats licking their lips for envy. If only we could have that here!

Anyhow, the judge was embarrassed to pack the old guy off to prison (can you say “Chateau D’If”?), the cops were kind of embarrassed to arrest him, so he was sentenced to a compulsory “citizenship course.” Highly insulting, isn’t it?

Quick Quiz: How many nanoseconds would it take U.S. Democrats to pass that law here, if they had the votes?

Is It ‘Let Them Eat Cake’ Time Again?

Don’t get them all stirred up again.

You’d think a president of France–even a lame, babbling fat-head like Emanuel Macron–would be leery of stirring up the French to civil strife. Because when the French do civil strife, they do it all the way.

Blaming every trouble in the country on those millions of French citizens who have not yet been “vaccinated,” and with Election Day just a couple of months away, Macron has vowed to “make life miserable” for the unvaccinated (https://www.nytimes.com/2022/01/05/world/macron-france-life-miserable-unvaccinated.html). We quote him: “I really want to piss off the unvaccinated.”

Better be careful what you wish for, sunshine. You could be headed for the guillotine.

Macron says the unvaccinated “are not citizens” and that they should be burdened by the government until they finally comply. And of course, and as usual, his supporters claim to have received death threats. There are always death threats. Never so much as a punch in the nose is actually delivered, but we are asked to believe that the little apparatchiks in the government are putting their lives on the line for us.

Honk if you believe that.

Meanwhile here in America, leftids are wondering why SloJo Biden isn’t doing more to “scold” the unvaccinated. The president as public scold…

…In the age of government gone mad.

You’ve all seen pix of AOC’s stupid gown by now. Here’s a nice pretty lizard instead.

Let’s face facts: our ruling class is garbage. We are governed by garbage.

You don’t believe me? Check out Alexandria O’Crazy-O-Cortez and her “Tax the Rich” gown at the annual Met gala.

Dancing on the Brink of Doom

All these Far Left Crazy elitists getting together, at $30,000 a ticket, to show off their $30,000 gowns and blather about what an evil oppressor country America is–I mean, are they laughing in our faces or what? We’re supposed to be locked down while they party.

Just In: Nutella ‘Riots’ Sweep France

I find this story somewhat disturbing, although I’m not quite sure why.

“Nutella” is a hazelnut and chocolate spread, very popular in Europe, although I’ve never seen it here. When the manufacturer decreed a 70 percent discount, mobs descended on supermarkets all over France. Violence broke out, and the police had to come in to keep it from getting out of hand (http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-42826028).

Uh, just how good is this stuff? Is it worth a cracked head? I mean, I love Marshmallow Peeps, but I would never riot for them–not even with a 70 percent discount.

What’s up with France? Their countries being taken over by Muslims, and this is what excites them? France went crazy once, in 1789, the French Revolution. Could it happen again–or did all that business with the guillotines and Napoleon get it out of their system for good? As you can see by my name, I have roots in France: but that doesn’t mean I understand it. Half the time I don’t understand America.

And lest we feel tempted to sneer–well, how many times have you seen American shoppers do exactly the same thing?

The motivation for shopping riots totally eludes me.
