Billions of dollars to help California's homeless population ...

Sure looks like they’re solving it, don’t it?

Needles, feces, prone bodies lying on the sidewalk, clusters of tents–and Gov. Gavin Newsome calls his state of California “a national model” for solving homelessness (https://www.sfexaminer.com/news/state/newsom-touts-california-as-national-model-on-homelessness/article_358f0ff8-9f4c-5ee9-a6af-48ec133d5517.html#:~:text=(The%20Center%20Square)%20%2D%20California,the%20largest%20in%20the%20nation.).

Solve it?

Yeah. Spend lots and lots of money. Spend $31 billion to set up a program.

In 2023 California’s homeless population was (they say) 181,599. How you acquire confidence in those figures is a mystery to me.

In recent years we have wound up being governed by persons who say things that call into question their basic sanity. Who in his right mind would want his state to model itself after California?

(Meanwhile the cafone in New York wants to hire illegal aliens, now known as “migrants,” to be lifeguards… because “they’re excellent swimmers.” Proved it by swimming across the Rio Grande to come here illegally.)

Then there’s Minnesota.

How did all these loonies make it to the top of the pyramid?

More to the point… how the dickens do we get rid of them?

Crime is sweeping across America’s big cities. Democrat prosecutors refuse to prosecute. Criminals get a free pass.

Even so, Authority has to do something. Or at least seem to be doing something.

San Francisco’s Bay Area Rapid Transit system (BART) has come up with an answer: “Bystander Intervention Safety Cards” (https://wpde.com/news/nation-world/bay-area-transit-wants-riders-to-carry-intervention-cards-to-help-stop-harassment-bart-san-francisco-oakland-san-jose-california-safety-subway-train-crime-bystander-intervention-safety-cards). You’re supposed to hand these out to other people in the subway car if someone is threatening or harassing you.

If the cards don’t work, and you’re still alive after some thug mugs you, well, you can take your Intervention Safety cards and clip ’em to the wheels of your bicycle. Sounds just like a motor!

(Yo! What if the bystander doesn’t feel like getting stabbed?)

(What if the bystander is afraid the prosecutor will come after him and not the criminal?)

It’s a lock, folks. Wherever you find Democrats in control of a city, you find a crime wave.

They’re really rather fond of criminals.

You’d think that somewhere in the depths of the forest you could get away from Woke–but no. Uh-uh. A group in Oregon wants to set up segregated hiking trails… to avoid running into someone who might be “prejudiced” (https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2023/07/woke-hiking-groups-create-segregated-hiking-paths-people/).

What do they expect to see when they look in the mirror?

To quote, these trails would be for “adventurers who are plus-sized and fat, Black [with a capital B], Indigenous, people of color, queer, trans, non-binary, disabled, neurodivergent [whatever the H that is], and beyond.” Beyond what? And how far?

Not so long ago, this was the stuff of comedy. Like so:

Public “education” is a rip-off. Even worse, a disservice. And worse than that, an injustice.

“All Genders Can Menstruate,” a flagrant falsehood, is taught in British schools and is making its way into American schools.

There are only two genders, male and female. There are no others.

Teaching defenseless children things that aren’t true is a crime.

You pay for it. We all do. We pay through the nose for public education, it costs a fortune, and we have no say in who teaches or what gets taught. All we do is pay. Here we are paying for lies. Paying to make our children believe lies.

If you pay for something, it’s yours, you own it–right? Well, with liberals running things, no, you don’t own it. You only pay for it; they own it. They decide who teaches in your schools. They decide what your children get taught. You just pay.

If we had any self-respect, we’d put a stop to this. Pronto.

Chicago Schools: ‘Affirm’ Wacko Trannies, or Else

So tell me again–you send your children to public school because______?

The mucky-mucks at the Chicago public schools have just made a decree ordering all students to address all transgender loons by “their preferred name and pronouns” and to “affirm [that person’s] new identity”–or else face consequences that could include being charged with a federal offense ( http://dailycaller.com/2016/05/12/chicago-students-now-required-to-adopt-transgender-newspeak/ ).

Wow, that’s pretty serious. Ten-year-old Johnny gets sent down for twenty years for “intentionally and persistently using the wrong pronouns.” You even have to call these lost souls “ze” instead of he or she, if that’s what they demand of you.

What–you think it’ll never happen in your local school district?

Oh, it will. And sooner than you think.

By the way: as near as anyone can tell, “transgender persons” constitute about three tenths of 1 percent of the population. Of that three tenths of a percent, what fraction of them is “transgender youth,” of school age? And of those, what fraction of that fraction is “real” transgender and what fraction is kids whose wacko parents taught them that they are transgender?

In other words, for the sake of what fraction of a fraction of the population, what microscopic splinter group, are we proposing to turn our whole country upside-down?

But it’s not for them. This handful of poor lost souls are only pawns in the game.
