A Supreme Court Win for Christmas

Nativity Scene Removed From Jay Town Hall After Lawyer ...

They can’t ban it anymore!

This is complicated–Supreme Court cases usually are–but it’s good news, so stay with it. Let me try to boil it down for you.

The court has voided a 1971 ruling–the ultra-complicated “Lemon test”–and decided that government (local, state, and federal) has no authority to ban Christmas displays on public property (https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2023/12/christmas-be-celebrated-free-lemon-test/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=christmas-be-celebrated-free-lemon-test).

A statement from Liberty Counsel: “Today, the law is clear… The First Amendment does not permit any city, state, or the federal government to eliminate religious viewpoints regarding a federally and state-recognized holiday.”

And this’ll make the leftids scream: It was a 9-0 decision! Put that in your pipe and smoke it, ACLU. It’ll be better for you than whatever you’ve been smoking, all these years.

As for the Lemon test, that’s been discarded–forget it, it’s history. The court did a lot of things wrong in the 1960s and 70s. That was one of them.

Principal Orders Teacher Not to Attend Church

Like, if this isn’t unconstitutional, what is? A school principal in a Midwest school district told a teacher, “You can’t be in church if your students are there” (https://www.wnd.com/2019/01/principal-to-teacher-you-cant-be-in-church-if-your-students-are-there/).

Say what???

The teacher got Liberty Counsel to defend her rights, and before escalating to a lawsuit, Liberty Counsel made a phone call to the district’s superintendent of schools–who lost no time overruling the principal’s “order.” This had to be done a year ago, too, when the same principal forbade the same teacher from leading an adults’ Bible club.

Do you think this principal might have a problem tolerating Christianity?

Well, we don’t know what his problem is, because Liberty Counsel won’t reveal his or her name, the teacher’s name, the name of the school district, or the name of the superintendent. I think the taxpayers of the district have a right to know who this yo-yo of a principal is, so he or she can be fired; but it’s not unreasonable for Liberty Counsel to withhold the names–out of courtesy to the superintendent, who has twice acted promptly to remedy the situation. I can’t fault them or him for behaving as decent and civilized human beings.

But for the time being, contemplate what this principal was trying to do. You can’t go to church if two of your students go there, too? I’d love to hear the preposterous, mutton-headed “reason” for this.

Our nation’s public education system, a misbegotten enterprise from the get-go, “solving a problem” that didn’t exist, is owned and operated by close-minded, ignorant, Christian-hating “progressives.” Christians don’t belong there–as students, teachers, or administrators.

And Christians should leave. They should leave now, to set up Christian schools and help Christian homeschooling families.

And there’s a nice payoff: kill public education, and Far Left Crazy dies.

And please don’t bother to argue that what goes on inside out public schools is “education.” That’s just laughable.

Oct. 6 is ‘Bring Your Bible to School Day’

Well, this’ll get the Satanists’ knickers in a twist:  next Thursday is national “Bring Your Bible to School Day” ( http://www.bringyourbible.org/ ). Bring it in and talk about it with your fellow students.

Sponsored by Focus on the Family, and with legal backup provided by the Alliance Defending Freedom, the last Bring Your Bible to School Day, according to FoF, had 155,000 participants.

Why does there have to be legal backup?

Because ignorant humanist “educators” think it’s somehow against the law to be a Christian, and certainly against the law to mention it to anyone outside the four walls of a church.

For instance: We reported back in June that the Desert Rose Elementary School in Palmdale, California, called the sheriff and had a deputy sent to the family’s home because a 7-year-old boy was sharing Bible verses with his classmates. Taboo! Verboten! This dangerous enemy of the people must be stopped!

After legal intervention by the Liberty Counsel, the school district completely reversed its position–now a child can share Bible verses with others, even on school grounds–and claimed that earlier hoo-hah was just a “misunderstanding.” ( http://www1.cbn.com/cbnnews/us/2016/august/school-district-oks-sharing-bible-verses )

So, yes, you can bring your Bible to school, you have an inalienable right to do it; and yes, the left-wing pinheads who run the schools are going to be upset, maybe even call the cops on you; and yes, if they’re called, rather than busting the school principal for wasting police time, the cops will come; and yes, you risk all that, if you bring your Bible to school. The schools love to have the Day of Silence to promote and coddle homosexuality, but they hate God’s word (surprise, surprise).

I’m not here to tell anyone to do it or not to do it.

But I’m rooting for there to be way more than 155,000 Bible-bringers this time around–way more indeed.

They can’t bust all of ’em!
