If we can’t help wondering how our culture came to be the tangled sorry mess it is today, it’s well to remember the old principle mentioned in the Bible: “A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump” (1 Corinthians 5:6).

We got here by letting all these little bitty snippets of political correctness slip into our language and our thought. There they grew, like some brain-eating parasite from outer space.

And here comes another one.

Can you spot anything wrong with this headline? We Really Need to Stop Being So Awful to Pregnant People.

It goes with an article written by a woman who is an M.D., a gynecologist, and although she doesn’t say anything ridiculous in the body of the article, there is that headline. “Pregnant people” implies, does it not, that any “people” can get pregnant–not necessarily just women. Wow! Inclusive language! A gold star for you, doc!

I think we have a right to demand that those who use this expression produce a pregnant man. Not some kook shot full of hormones and surgically mutilated, but a real male human being with XY chromosomes who now happens to have a bun in the oven.

Y’know, I generally write Joe Collidge on Fridays; but the idiocy is pouring in so fast, I’m afraid Joe can’t keep up.

At least the Three Stooges were funny, Our morons aren’t.

Yesterday, in a nooze photo of a pro-abortion demonstration, we saw a noop carrying a sign that read, “Safe, Accessible Abortions for All Genders.” All genders. I can’t seem to find that same photo today. Maybe it got sucked back into Weirdland.

Normally you’d need a moving van to transport that much idiocy; yet this ninny carried it upon his (?) shoulder. All genders. Like there are men out there who want abortions? But that’s what the new left-wing-doofus buzzword’s all about–“pregnant people”–isn’t it?

I have never in my life seen anything like the horrifying speed with which the whole Western world went racing off the cliff called “transgender.” And for what? So they can babble about pregnant men? And all these different genders?

Is our country possessed by a demon of mass lunacy? Does our nation need an exorcism? I saw another picture of a sign held up by a couple of black women, pro-abortion protesters: “Abortion Is Our Future!” Oh, God, pity us. Talking about being careful what you wish for! You blocks and stones.

And of course, of course, these same la-las who march around chanting “My body, my choice!” are curiously receptive to the government making the choice for them, mandating, to get injected with an experimental drug that may or may not protect you from the COVID virus but might also kill you. Yowsah. Let Big Brother make that choice for me!

Do leftids actually believe there are pregnant men, or do they just say it because they have no integrity and are too full of schiff to know it?

This stuff has to stop before it stops our civilization.

Transgender mania hadn’t yet taken off like a rocket when this essay was first posted in 2013.

Say it again, Sam: there is no freedom without truth.

What Is Truth?

We are drowning in lies and fables: “pregnant people,” “Man-made Climate Change,” 50-year-old man competing in a swim meet with 13-year-old girls… But it would be depressing to run the list out further.

We really ought to be ashamed of ourselves, allowing ourselves to be lied to like that.

Where Have the ‘Pregnant People’ Gone?

A few days ago it was “pregnant people,” and if you said “pregnant women,” you were a “transphobe” and a hater: you denied that men could get pregnant! Boo! Hiss! And in the Portland, Oregon, school lavatories, they were making “period products” available to boys. ‘Cause boys can have periods, too, dontcha know.

Suddenly that’s all gone. Suddenly we’re back to “women’s health”–the Far Left Crazy’s euphemism for abortion. Killing unborn babies is “women’s health.” Restricting abortion is back to restricting “a woman’s right to choose.”

Where was “My body, my choice” when they were talking about vaccine mandates? What happened to that choice?

The hypocrisy is deafening. Well, when you’re dealing with people who deny there’s any such thing as truth, you have to expect that.

As our friend “Unknowable” says, if abortion is the hill they want to die on, let them.

 

I Got Polled

Yesterday at suppertime–it’s always suppertime, when the phone rings–I got a call from the Eagleton Poll.

I decided to play along and answer the questions; but we hadn’t gotten very far when I had to stop him.

“Do you believe that pregnant people–”

“Whoa! Stop! Stop it right there!” I interrupted. “There are no ‘pregnant people.’ Only pregnant women. I will not let you say ‘pregnant people’! No one says that but totally brain-dead liberals!”

Would you believe it? For the rest of the interview, he said “pregnant women.” See how easy it is to act sane?

He also started with a question about “gender identity,” and I wouldn’t let him ask that one, either.

Although it was an Eagleton Institute Poll, the kid said he was calling from Rutgers, so I reckon he was a Rutgers student (as I once was). I reflected on just how full of crap someone is by the time public school and The University get done with him. God help us: do you think it’s possible that he honestly believes in “pregnant people”?

It won’t be easy to clean up this mess they’ve made of our country, but we have to try. Starting now.

AOC: Texas Law Unfair to ‘Menstruating Persons’

This is the face of government?

When we say our country is governed by idiots, we mean real idiots.

Rep. Alexandria O’Crazy-O Cortez is back! On a recent cable TV talk show, she denounced Texas’ new abortion law, which forbids abortion after six weeks of pregnancy, as unfair to any “menstruating person” or “person with a menstruating cycle” (https://www.newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/mark-finkelstein/2021/09/09/biology-101-cnn-aoc-blasts-texas-abortion-law-menstruating). Other leftid jidrools joined in, with blather about “a pregnant person” and “Roughly half of America”–that would be women, actually–“gets their period.” Bad grammar, with but a tenuous grasp on reality.

AOC also denounced Texas Gov. Greg Abbot as part of a “rape culture.” To her, any attempt to restrict abortion is tantamount to endorsing rape.

This is all, of course, just more pandering to the transgender crowd. And it’s either pure idiocy or pure hypocrisy–saying things that one knows to be untrue, to achieve a political end. It’s also known as “lying.”

They all need to be cleared out of government, root and branch. We can’t accomplish anything worthwhile with morons and hypocrites calling all the shots.
