Oh, this brings me back to Sunday school! The springtime sun pouring through the windows, while we sang this–Trust and Obey, sung here by the Living Stones Quartet. (The only quartet I know of with five singers in it.)

This hymn has been coming into my mind lately–and God knows I need a blessing, and not just me. Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing, by the Living Stones Quartet. There seem to be five people in the quartet, but who’s counting?
Some of you may have noticed I’m not quite up to par today–and tomorrow it’s back to daily visits to the hospital. Even so, here’s a little something from the archives.

This New Zealand cop show had a certain charm, and just a touch of quirkiness. We liked it.
But after a couple seasons, it dove down the rabbit hole with the rest of the culture rot. God help us, our Western civilization–once upon a time called “Christendom”–is in deep, deep trouble: all of it of our own making.
(And now the computer has decided not to post any images. Might as well try the laptop…)
(And for some reason the ancient laptop works… where the new computer says “I prefer not to.”)
I’m so glad to be back online, and I want to share this hymn with you–Behold the Mountain of the Lord, an ancient Scottish hymn sung by Godfrey Birtill. It’s one of my favorites.

I can only listen to so much bilge from globalists, liberals, and other utopian nudnicks before I start thinking of societies held in thrall by witch doctors. That still exists in Africa today–only now they’ve got the Internet and cell phones.
But don’t feel superior! America and Europe are every bit as credulous and superstitious as Africa. What can any witch doctor say that’s more preposterous than what we get from the World Economic Forum and the Democrat Party?
Yeah… but muti magic kills…
Tell it to the Ukrainians and Russians.
Thank you, Erlene, for suggesting this–Days of Elijah, sung by a whole mess hall full of United States Marines. Just what I needed for my soul this morning.
“Ooh-rah! There’s no God like Jehovah!” (Can you give me Hallelujah?)

The baker finally won. The tyrants lost.
Remember Jack Phillips, baker, owner of Masterpiece Cake Shop? Gotta go back twelve years.
In 2012 a couple of lesbians sued him because he wouldn’t custom-make a cake for their same-sex pseudo-wedding. His refusal was based on his religious beliefs. Organized Sodomy and bunches of liberals have been trying all this time to force him to yield–’cause that would be a big win for them.
But this week the Colorado Supreme Court–the US Supreme Court wouldn’t decide, but batted it back to the state– dismissed the lawsuits and Mr. Phillips is finally out from under the boot-heel (https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/4270032/posts).
Which means that for all the Far Left’s efforts to get rid of it, freedom of religion still exists in America. The government cannot force you to act contrary to your religious beliefs. Although someday they would like to.
Anyway, some good news, and it’s always welcome: for once the good guys win.
Thanks to Erlene for this hymn request: One Pair of Hands , sung by Carroll Roberson at Glacier National Park, Montana.
I had a terrible night; but this hymn is a good way to start the day.
Stuck for a hymn this morning, no requests. For some reason I had an urge to post Deck the Halls with Boughs of Holly. I resisted it.
So here: O God Our Help in Ages Past, by Isaac Watts. Sung by the Sharon Mennonite Bible Institute Singers.
(I had a very bad night and consequently I’m running late this morning.)
We learned this one in Sunday school: This Is My Father’s World. I don’t know who’s singing this version–but the photography is beautiful, showing the works of God’s hands.
