What’s Wrong With Our Cops?

If you read yesterday’s post, the collection of wacko quotes by psychiatrists and psychologists concerning the purposes of public education, it might have raised some further questions in your mind.

Remember, back in May, when a teacher in Oregon called the police on a kid who was playing “hangman”? (Reported here on May 17; original report, http://toprightnews.com/?p=3119 ) A few days after that, I was asking “How Do Teachers Learn to be Kooks?” in the May 20 post on this blog.

Well, if they’re being trained by people like those psychiatrists and psychologists we cited yesterday, it’s not so strange that they would totally freak out over a child’s harmless guessing-game.

But it is strange that the local police, when the teacher called them to come and bust a child for playing hangman… actually came!

I’d understand if they only came to the school to take the teacher to a private place and teach her not to waste their time. But no–having responded to this inane call in the first place, they went on to “interrogate” the kid who was playing hangman.

What is this? I mean, the cops didn’t go to teachers’ college. Who taught them to take hysteria seriously? Who taught them to lean on and terrorize some little kid who wasn’t doing anything wrong?

But it’s getting so that’s the only thing some cops are good for, anymore. They can’t catch the  bad guys, crooks just laugh at them–but oh, boy! If there’s a bake sale or a game of hangman going down, they’re on it!

Do any of our institutions still work, or has liberalism destroyed them all?

You Gotta See This

One of our loyal readers, Watchman, has done us all a valuable service by directing our attention to a website, http://www.psychquotes.com/ .

It’s a pageful of quotes by psychiatrists and psychologists, and maybe a few psychotics in the  bargain, about public education and its goals. You will be amazed and horrified, I promise you. Whether it’s John Dewey complaining about teaching ordinary people to read, which interferes with his desire to eradicate individualism, or some other degreed jidrool getting all hot and bothered over the prospect of actually doing away with free will, these quotes show–beyond even an unreasonable doubt!–the quintessential evil that has motivated the public education enterprise since early in the 19th century.

Don’t take my word for it anymore. Read what education theorists have to say for themselves. Their own words convict them as fools, mountebanks, and villains.

Public School Caper: Holocaust Denial

So you’re still okay with your child being “educated” (lol) by the public schools? Try this story on for size.

A couple of months ago, 2,000 eighth-graders in the Rialto Unified School District, California, were assigned to write an essay on the topic, “Did the Holocaust occur?” ( http://www.dailybulletin.com/opinion/20140711/rialto-unified-must-face-facts-on-holocaust-assignment-editorial )

When word of this caper got out, and public indignation followed, the “educators” quickly withdrew the assignment. So the kids won’t be writing, after all, on whether “the Holocaust was an actual event in history, or merely a political scheme created to influence public emotion and gain.”

They wouldn’t have tried it if they hadn’t thought they could get away with it. As a sop to the public, the teachers blamed for creating the assignment have supposedly been herded into sensitivity training.

Hmm… let’s see, now… The superintendent of the school district is named “Mohammed Z. Islam,” and he has a spokesperson named Syeda Jafri. The head of the local chapter of the teachers’ union is not named Looie Farrakhan, nor do any of the schools have principals named Ahmadinejad. So I guess that’s okay. No anti-Semitism here, folks.

Mr. Islam and Ms. Jafri say they’ve received death threats as a result of this incident. Well, if you’re prepared to lie about millions of people being murdered in cold blood by the servants of a national socialist state, you just might be capable of throwing in a wee taradiddle about a death threat.

Yes, they scrubbed the assignment and said they were sorry for the “error.” (Nobody ever does a wicked thing on purpose. It’s always a “mistake”–like misplacing your car keys.) But that was only because they got found out and a lot of people were hopping mad at them.

But you don’t need a Christian school. You don’t need homeschooling. If you want to keep on sending your kids to public school, that’s your decision.

After all, this was only one of thousands of isolated incidents all around the country.

Your Tax $$ at Work: the Columbia U. School of Climate Change Hysteria

If you want your kid to grow into a prize ninny, Columbia University can make it happen.

In return for decades’ worth of student debt, your son or daughter can enroll in “climate change games” in which students compose tragic, fictitious voice mail messages from imaginary people about to be killed by imaginary Global Warming. (Source: “Columbia University to spend $5.7 million in taxpayer funds on climate change games,” by Katherine Timpf, May 26, 2014,  http://www.campusreform.org/ID=5641 )

This idiocy is funded by a $5.7 million grant from the National “Science” Foundation–money that real people had to work for.

Ah, what a festival of reason! A gala of clear and sober thinking! What a great way to earn a college degree! Made-up messages from people who are about to be drowned by an onrushing tsunami (“I love you, Mom–glug, glug!”), or broiled alive by the Warming, or choking for air because “I’m out of CO2 credits!” It’s Atlantis meets The Towering Inferno for a disaster movie fest.

Utterly shameless. But visit that Campus Reform site. You’ll find this left-wing drivel has completely taken over America’s whole university system.

This is how a great country winds up being governed by fools and bastards.

I’ll bet I could’ve aced that course, inventing voice mail messages like these:

“Oh! If only we’d passed Cap and Trade, this earthquake never would’ve happened!”

“This is what we get for allowing all that homophobia and Income Inequality!”

“We should have listened to the atheists!”

“Oh why, why, why did we wait so long to have a carbon tax! Al Gore was right!”

“Alas! they told us only communism could save us from Climate Change–and we wouldn’t listen! Is it really too late to collectivize?”

Shame, shame, shame…

But that’s exactly what these people at Columbia are incapable of feeling.

How Do Teachers Learn to be Kooks?

Upon reading my May 17 blog post about the Oregon school calling the cops on a kid for playing “hangman,” someone asked me a very interesting question.

“No normal person calls the police because some kid is playing ‘hangman,'” she said. “I’ll bet they have to receive special training before they learn how to overreact like that. I really wonder who tells them, ‘This is what you do when you spot a child doing something normal.'”

Great point. At this site alone we have reported “teachers” going to pieces when they saw kids making silent prayer, playing cops and robbers, drawing a picture of their daddy in his soldier’s uniform, and so on. Who teaches the teachers to be such kooks?

I mean, I took teacher training courses back in the Seventies, and no one taught me to throw a tantrum and call the police if I heard a kid humming a little hymn she learned in Sunday school. Actually they didn’t teach us much of anything: New Jersey’s first $100,000-a-year teacher salary still lay some 20 years in the future. No one taught us when to tell a little kid, “It’s wrong to pray.”

The signs of culture rot are everywhere.

From Kindergarten to Kollege, in One Step

As if we needed any further proof that “educators” have leaf-litter for brains, a New York school has canceled its annual kindergarten show because, say the bozos running the place, the kiddies have to keep working, uninterrupted, because they’re being prepared for “college and career.” In kindergarten.(See http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/answer-sheet/wp/2014/04/26/kindergarten-show-canceled-so-kids-can-keep-working-to-become-college-and-career-ready-really/ )

Boys and girls, if you think you can just waltz into college and pick up a degree in Women’s Studies or Queer Literature, just like that, you’ve got another think coming! By cracky, you should’ve started cramming in the womb! Now you’re already five years old! If you had to start college tomorrow, you wouldn’t be ready! To say nothing of starting a career!

Are you absolutely, positively sure you can’t raise your own children as wisely as these “educators” are raising them? Are you sure you can’t do just as good a job of preparing your children to earn college degrees in ridiculous subjects and take on a lifetime’s worth of student debt?

Get some self-confidence, and homeschool your kids.

How Common Core Will Make Your Kids Smart

Our secret agents have ferreted out the test that will be given to America’s high school seniors to prove that the Common Core universal curriculum has succeeded in its quest to bestow upon our youth an education second to none. The results of this test will be compared to the results of earlier tests.

The whole test is too long to be reproduced here, so I have randomly selected half a dozen of the questions, to give you the general idea. Ready? See how well you do!

1. Name at least three persons who are not the President of the United States.

2. Which of the following statements is true, A or B?

A. Global Warming is caused by human activity, and can be fixed by paying much higher taxes.

B. Global Warming is caused by human activity, and can be fixed by paying much higher taxes.

3. If Jamaal has a dozen Obama phones and gives all of them away to his friends, how many will he have left?

4. Fill in the little box with your pencil.

5. Write “True” in the blank after this sentence: “The Bible is hate speech.”____

6. Find the area of a floor that is 200 square feet.

Oddly enough, preliminary results show public high school seniors still getting questions 3 and 6 wrong. That means the questions will have to be rewritten, according to the Dept. of Education.

So far, approximately 70% of the students have been able to pass this test–“proving,” says Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, “that Common Core is money well spent.”

Tots ‘Having Sex’ in Public School

If you think I’m going to post a picture of a couple of little kids “having sex,” think again. What do you think this is–a public school? So here is a picture of some wildflowers instead–more of God’s stuff that is so much better than ours.

Check out this news story: “Teacher Faces Ax Over Naked Kids ‘Having Sex'” ( http://www.thesmokinggun.com/documents/teacher-faces-ax-over-kindergarten-sex-674521 ).

When the kindergarten teacher checked the bathroom, she found two five-year-olds naked, and they told her they were “having sex,” according to the police report. No charges were filed, but the teacher has been suspended, and may be fired.

Somehow I doubt this was only that teacher’s fault; she might even be a scapegoat. After what I’ve seen and read about public schools’ sex education programs, it would be astonishing if five-year-olds were not having sex. If we dismiss the unlikely possibility that their parents taught these kids to “have sex,” and if we resist the temptation to single out the teacher as a crazed rogue–well, then?

I’ve been researching and writing about public school sex education for over a decade. I’ve attended sex educators’ conventions. I have read through the teacher manuals and the textbooks.

And I’m here to tell you that it’s every bit as awful as you’ve ever heard, if not more so.

Christian parents wouldn’t dream of allowing their children to be educated by Muslims.

But they seem perfectly content to have them taught by moral imbeciles.

Thou Shalt Not Reward Straight A’s

Public educators can’t do anything right, even when they try.

Last week school officials at Eastern Middle School decided to reward straight-A students by throwing an exclusive party for them. Because the explicit purpose of the party was to recognize and reward straight-A students, students who didn’t get straight A’s were not invited.

What flabbergasted me was that this happened in ultra-lib Montgomery County, Maryland.

Well, the nooze media weren’t going to take that lying down. “Reporters” descended on the school to denounce the unfairness of it all. Oh, they asked sharp questions! Make those sixth-graders squirm! “Don’t you think this was unfair to the kids who weren’t invited to the party? Don’t you think it made them feel left out? Don’t you think it hurt them terribly?” There’s a Fox News clip floating around the Internet in which a “reporter” sticks her mike in the little kid’s face and asks, “Does this make you think you’re smart?”

So… if the “educators” reward kids for high achievement, they’re “promoting elitism”… and if they don’t, then they’re encouraging mediocrity. They can’t win.

But the answer to this problem is simple and obvious.

Just throw more parties.

One for kids with a B average, one for kids with a C average, another for Ds, and finally, a special party for kids who get straight F’s–parties for everyone. You’d think a party for the F Troop would be a natural for Montgomery County.

What lesson do you suppose this incident has taught the children at Eastern Middle School?
