Very Unusual Kittens!

Someday the lion will lie down with the lamb. In the meantime, this cat lies down with three ducklings. Not only that: it’s a momma cat, with kittens, and she suckles the ducklings! And we may safely ignore the narrator’s “scientific” explanation of it.

These kittens and ducklings are going to grow up to be very unusual cats and ducks.

How to Wake a Sleepy Cat

I wonder if the world is changing. My dog Rags used to pretend to be asleep, tricking the birds into coming down to steal his dog food. Then he’d catch them and eat them. I don’t know why he did that.

But here’s a little bird determined to wake a sleepy cat, and the cat puts up with him without showing the slightest inclination to eat him. Who thought a cat and a parakeet could be friends?

Another little glimpse of what God’s Kingdom looks like.

A Bodacious Bird

This cockatoo barks and whines just like a dog. If you didn’t see him doing it, you’d swear it was a dog.

Of what use is this in nature? Search me. These birds do this because it’s fun!

Snow for the Birds

Have you ever seen this before? I haven’t! Birds playing in the snow.

Well, they get a lot of snow in Russia, where this video was filmed: might as well learn to enjoy it. You don’t think of wild birds playing. That’s for parrots, et al. But it is said that crowd are among the most intelligent of birds, so they ought to be able to make a game of snowy weather.

There’s always more to animals than you thought.

This Girl’s Rooster Loves Her

In case you missed it when Linda sent it in this morning, here’s the girl whose pet rooster loves her so much, he races up the trail to meet her when she comes off the school bus. Look at him go!

Go ahead–tell us it’s just evolution at work, through chance.

A Most Demanding Bird

Watch the cockatiel’s reaction when the stupid human stops petting him. And note the cat sitting at the far end of the couch, pretending to take no notice of these goings-on. There are wheels turning here, inside both the feathery head and the furry one.

Bird Serenades Bunny

It takes this cockatiel a minute or two to find his muse, but then he breaks into a Star Wars tune, followed by his masterful rendition of the Jeopardy theme. The bunny discreetly withdraws, missing the best part of the concert.

God put a lot more into animals than we ever thought.

Pets with the Munchies

I have to say my favorite here is the parrot who decides to feed the dog. Here are a whole raft of assorted animals–dogs, cats, parrots, even chipmunks and a tortoise–dealing with the crave, managing the munchies, with varying degrees of finesse. I am happy to say our cats never try to grab food off our plates.

Death Wish 2017: Parakeet & Cat

From our You Figure ‘Em Out! Dept.–We know cats sleep very soundly when they have a mind to, but this parakeet has determined that it shall not be so. Watch him bedevil the poor cat. Marvel at the cat’s patience. And ask yourself, “What does this crazy bird want? Like, dude, don’t you know the cat could eat you?” And for some strange unfathomable reason, the cat’s response is never what it could be. Go figure.

Pets With Attitude

I think I might have posted this once before, but it’s still funny. Here are some cats, dogs, and birds in need of attitude adjustments. Tally-ho!
