What do you suppose Martin Luther would think of a, um, “Lutheran church” where they doted on clay idols and looked forward to “replacing” God with a pagan goddess? I think he might throw more than just an inkwell.

There was an awful lot of this mischief going on, earlier in this century. Enough for a six-part series, which I wrote for Chalcedon’s magazine. In recent years it seems to have gone undercover. We can always pray for its extinction.

Y’know, if there’s one thing the Bible is absolutely clear on, it’s this–DO NOT WORSHIP HEATHEN IDOLS. Never, never, never do that.

There’s gonna be a very hot reception for (ahem!) “pastors” and ministerettes who have led and encouraged this wicked foolishness.

Is the Vatican Losing Its Mind?

It’s been some fourteen years since I published my series of articles on paganism in the Church–that is, the Church that is the body of Christ, the brotherhood of all believers.

Paganism has not been purged from the churches. In fact, it’s been invited into the Vatican.

This year, at a Christmas concert at the Vatican, Catholic cardinals crossed their arms over their chests to “feel the heart of Mother Earth,” aka the pagan goddess from the Amazon, Pachamama (https://www.churchmilitant.com/news/article/pachamama-pops-up-at-vatican-christmas-concert). Look at the picture. You can see them doing it.

The show was hosted by a priest.

Uh, guys… maybe you need to go back to the Bible, huh? There is no “Mother Earth” or “Pachamama” goddess. The earth, you see, is a creation: the work of God the Father’s hands. There’s this little essay in the Bible–that’s the book that says “Holy Bible” on the cover, for those of you who haven’t seen it before–called Romans Chapter 1, and you should brush up on it. Really.

Meanwhile the pope himself rapped the “rigidity” of “traditionalists” in the Church–those are the ones he thinks are the bad guys, who stubbornly refuse to understand that “All of us,” as he says, “are called to build a global village of education,” yatta-yatta. You think Common Core was bad? You ain’t seen nothin’ yet!

Don’t get cocky, Protestants. This stuff goes on in a lot of your churches, too.

“Who is on the Lord’s side?” Moses cried. “Let him come to me!”

You can’t serve a “goddess” and the Lord. It is inexplicable that this pope does not seem to understand that.

Lesbian Bishop Nixes Cross, Welcomes Islam

There’s so much bad news to report today, but I’ve decided to cover only this item: Sweden’s first unrepentant lesbian bishop has ordered crosses and other Christian symbols removed from a Stockholm church, and arrows placed to show the direction to Mecca, to accommodate and “welcome” Muslim worshipers whom she calls “angels” ( http://www.breitbart.com/london/2015/10/05/worlds-first-lesbian-bishop-calls-church-remove-crosses-install-muslim-prayer-space/ ).

The church, located in Stockholm’s dockyard district, was built to serve seamen coming off their ships. Apparently the lesbian bishop thinks the church would be better used as some kind of “interfaith,” multi-culti prayer room.

Why cover this story? Because it goes to the heart of what afflicts us in this evil age: a widespread falling-away from Christian faith, abandoning true salvation in Jesus Christ for hip, cool, and altogether useless dollar-store “spirituality” that is no salvation at all.

I think it also shows us why the Stockholm Syndrome–victims coming to identify with those who prey on them–is called the Stockholm Syndrome.

We’ve seen the pattern many times. First, the ordination of women. I used to be in favor of that, but clearly it doesn’t seem to work out as intended. Then, the rejection of God’s moral laws regarding sexual behavior, and the ordination of openly practicing homosexuals and lesbians. And after that, the rejection of Christianity itself and the adoption of some kind of false religion. A few years ago, goddess worship was all the rage in these churches. Now it’s Islam. If they can find anything worse, they’ll take that up, too.

And so the church pisses away its moral authority, gives up its duty to teach the truth, and the society is left to drift this way and that because it has cut its anchor cable.

This is nothing more than stealth atheism, brewed up by Satan.

Logic break: The only way that all religions can be “equally true” is if all of them have a truth value of zero.

That’s what makes this atheism.
