The dreary grey weather’s back, we have no hymn requests… so let’s have this one, an old Sunday school favorite: He Leadeth Me.
Sung by the Mennonite Hour Men’s Quartet. Background sets by the hand of God the Father.

This is another one of my Sunday school favorites: Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, requested by Elder Mike, sung by the Altar of Praise Men’s Chorale.
We’re open for hymn requests all day; if there’s a hymn you’d like to share, don’t be shy.
Rain, rain, and more rain, I’m running late, not much action here at all… So here’s the first hymn that came into my head today: Rejoice, Ye Pure In Heart. It’s an old Sunday school favorite; and the photo reminds me of the outdoor chapel at Y Camp.
All right, Mr. Nightmare, just back off, get lost–the Word of God is here!
Bringing in the Sheaves was a Sunday school favorite, even if a lot of us weren’t sure what “sheaves” were. All I know about this lively version is that it was posted by the Islington Baptist Church. And it suits me this morning, as I hope it suits you.
Yes, this one’ll do! A Sunday school favorite, I Sing the Mighty Power of God, written by Isaac Watts and sung here by the Mountain Anthems. There’s a lot of life and love in those 18th-century hymns.
This was a favorite hymn in the church that I grew up in–Some Thou Almighty King. Our friends and esteemed colleagues Joshua and Jeremy will play it for us. Click “CC” for lyrics if you want to sing along.
Erlene asked for this one–What a Friend We Have in Jesus, sung by Doc Watson. How many times has he sung this hymn? And yet it still moves him; his voice very nearly breaks. But that sometimes happened to me, too, when we sang this one in Sunday school.
Requested by Ina, a Sunday school favorite–Peter and John Went to Pray. Their miraculous healing of a man who was lame from birth is related in Chapter 3 of Acts. (Sorry, I can’t ID the movie that this clip is from.)
This is the first hymn that popped into my head today, an old Sunday school favorite: Draw Me Nearer. Sung here by students from Fountainview Academy.
The guy’s coming over this morning to install our new computer, etc., so it won’t be easy to keep the blog going. I’ll do my best.
No hymn requests today so far, so it’s up to me to get the day started.
This has always been one of my favorite hymns–This Is My Father’s World. This rendition by Fernando Ortega is very nicely illustrated.
