Teacher Union Chief Randi Weingarten Resigns From DNC Position and People Have Questions

Here’s something I’ll betcha didn’t know! For 23 years, the head capo of America’s most powerful teachers’ union (the American Federation of Teachers) also sat on the Democrat National Committee. She has only resigned this week, citing “disagreement” with the new union president.

During those 23 years, the union NEVER failed to deliver to the Democrat Party less than 98% of its campaign contributions.

(Hey, what’s that smell? Something smells funny here…)

So what was the teachers’ union president doing on the DNC in the first place?

Isn’t it obvious? M-O-N-E-Y. Union dues flowed into the Democrat campaign chest; legislation favorable to the union flowed out.

Why does it seem like Long John Silver should be narrating this nooze item?

Public education! Ain’t it the berries?

The abuses of public education that we suffer and take for granted today, were not tolerated once upon a time–as late as the 1970s. They never, never, never would have been able to do these things to us… once upon a time.

They’re Still Getting Away With It

Yes, there was a time when communities owned the schools that they paid for. There was no State Dept. of Education. Nor any federal Dept. of Education. Holy moly, there was freedom! And the people who had it vigorously defended it.

I was there; I saw it. I was a reporter; I reported it.

But I still don’t understand what happened to it.

We just went out for Patty’s wine, a mere 15-minute run in which we managed to spot two misspelled signs.

One: “Plain And Simpol Comfort Food.” Simpol.

Two: “CLEANERS,” with a backwards “E”.

I’m sure they’re not the only ones. But what’s the story with these signs? Is this really what we get out of the costliest, most intrusive, most self-consciously grand “education” system in the world? These are professionally-painted signs. You have to pay someone to create one. And all they create is the spelling.

Have you seen any misspelled signs lately? If so, you’re cordially invited to share them here.

Christians! For the love of God, get your children out of public school!

Another Thing We Can Do…

But parents think they’re “not qualified.”

When I was in elementary school, I couldn’t learn how to add a column of figures: just couldn’t do it. Until my father sat down with me and, in 20 minutes or so, taught me how to do it–succeeding where the qualified experts had failed.

That was a long time ago. Today there are many solid alternatives to public education, all of them better than a public school.

The only purpose of an education system owned and run by leftists is to turn out more leftists.
