Netherland dwarf bunnies–oh, my! So adorable, you could plotz.
You might find this incredible, but some scientists believe bunnies like these are distantly related to a prehistorical animal that doesn’t look bunnyish at all… the Uintatherium. That’s this fellow, here:
No, no! Not the guy in the shirt. The big one with tusks and horns. They want to put it on the rabbit family tree. Go figure.
Genuine False Fact! In 1884 the town of Sarcophagus, Missouri, was overrun by oversized two-legged rabbits and forced to evacuate. The rabbits then looted the bank. It has been theorized that they might have been humans disguised as rabbits.
Meanwhile, we have a bodacious rabbit right here on the video playing hob with a cat’s self-esteem…
I wonder how much better I would’ve turned out if my parents had brought home a nice big bunny when I was two years old. Something cuddly. Well, I’ll never know.
But the family in this video seems to be doing just fine with their rabbit. He’s almost big enough to double as a polo pony. It’s difficult to see how even a cat or a dog could do a better job of being a pet.

But oh–! Baby bunnies! So cute, they leave you speechless. See? Look how clumsily I’m saying this!
Sorry, but the things from Venus failed to show up (so unreliable!), so we had to wing it with just baby bunnies.
The ones hopping all around on the bed–yeah, I’ll have a few of those, please.
I can just hear my mother scream as she turns around to fine one of her babies going kissy-kissy mouth to mouth with a rabbit. And I would say the same about a baby sharing finger food with a bunny, only in these videos, the rabbit mostly steals the snack from the baby, who is left with one of those “What just happened?” looks on his face.
But who ever heard of a baby or a bunny getting too much cuddling?
Welcome to the Peaceable Kingdom, where cats and rabbits play and cuddle with each other instead of all that survival of the fittest stuff. This went on in Eden, long ago. We are privileged and encouraged to see it still goes on today. Sometimes. Just enough to remind us of better things that the Lord will provide for all His creatures.
You may like a little squeeze of lemon in your tea, or on your salad, or your French fries; but to chew and eat a slice of lemon, that might exceed your pucker factor.
But what about a bunny? Would a bunny enjoy eating a lemon? Let’s see what this bunny does with his first lemon slice.
They’re even cuter than grey tree frogs–baby bunnies. I’ll never forget one night, I happened to be standing in the parking lot, and several baby cottontails decided to play a game: chasing each other around me. Well, they grew up in Patty’s garden; I guess they liked us. There I was in the middle of a ring of baby bunnies. My tree frogs never did that.
Some nice human set up this wonderful playground for his bunnies–in which rabbits demonstrate that they’re no better than we are at remaining on top of round things that roll out from under us. Ooh! I tried that once, as a kid–balancing on top of a trash barrel, like I saw a bear do on TV (on Ed Sullivan’s show, naturally). The cusset thing shot right out from under me and I landed smack on my nose.
Don’t worry–the rabbits in this video avoid calamity.
