Requested by Thewhiterabbit–first time I’ve ever heard it–The Angel Gabriel from Heaven Came, by Emmaus Music. This is an ancient Basque Christmas hymn translated into English in the 19th century by Rev. Sabine Baring-Gould… who rescued many old hymns from obscurity.
Our seventh-grade home room was drafted into the chorus in time for a Christmas concern; and The Little Drummer Boy was one of the songs we sang. First time I’d ever heard it.

The Christmas tree, Mark Rushdoony explained in 2018, is an allusion to the Biblical Tree of Life–a key image in both Genesis and Revelation. The Tree of Life is Jesus Christ. We partake of God’s grace in Jesus Christ.
We don’t have to surrender Christmas!

Yesterday saw a new leader in our annual Christmas Carol Contest, with 22 views.
Only problem is, WordPress decided to identify that contestant as “Somone.” That is, Anonymous. That’s how things have been going around here lately. Crikey, what if “Someone” wins the contest?
The only solution is for a reader to request a carol and it gets 23 views, or more, the day it’s posted.
