‘Hallelujah Chorus’ at the Food Court

Here’s something they’ve taken away from us, under the guise of protecting us from King COVID–a flash mob at a Food Court, in 2010, breaking forth into the Hallelujah Chorus. No singing! No gathering! No showing your face in public! By order of the Governor! Mandate, mandate, mandate!

Have they finished us off? Will we never take our freedom back?

But we have a mighty Champion and Defender–Jesus Christ the Son of God, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, our rightful King and only Savior.

God will perform His promises even if no mortal on the earth believes them anymore.

No mandate will hold Him back.

RFK Jr.: “People in Authority Lie”

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. - Family, Career & Facts - Biography

(Thanks to Susan for the news tip)

Robert Kennedy Jr., nephew of President John F. Kennedy, son of former Attorney General and Senator Robert F. Kennedy, has hit the nail right on the head.

His father told him, he says, “People in authority lie.

“If we are going to continue to live in a democracy we need to understand that people in authority lie” (https://www.citizenfreepress.com/breaking/robert-kennedy-jr-issues-warning-on-covid-vaccine/).

Gee, ya think?

“People in authority,” he says, “will abuse every power that we relinquish to them and right now we are giving them the power to micro-manage every bit of our lives, 24 hours a day… These government agencies are orchestrating obedience and it is not democratic…”

How easily they’ve trained us to obedience! All it took was King Covid: do what you’re told, by us, or else the virus gonna kill you dead! Hence the mandates, one after another, the face masks, the restrictions on our worship services and family gatherings–Junior, you’ve hit the middle of the bullseye.

What a role model for our time!

Someday our posterity, presuming we have won, will wonder why we didn’t kick up more of a fuss when utopian liberal tyrants took away our freedoms. What could we possibly say to defend ourselves?

They’ve Just Got to Control Us

Ooh-ooh, there’s germs in the environment! Face masks forever! No more public gatherings, except for riots–riots are always permitted.

The future is going to ask us, “You let yourselves by tyrannized by those morons–because of a germ?” And I don’t know how we’d answer that.

A Drop of Common Sense

Let’s say there was no such thing as COVID-19–nothing out there but the stuff that’s always out there: the flu, bad colds, bronchitis, etc. And let’s forget all about mandatory face masks and social distancing.

You have a really bad cold, or the flu. You’re sick. Quite sick, in fact. Does that mean you go to work anyway? Go to your bridge club? Sit there sniffling and sneezing in a crowded movie theater?

No. It’s only common sense: no. You stay home until you’re better. That way you don’t pass your germs around to others. Do we really need a “new normal” to figure out that? Do we really need the government to throw another bunch of mandates at us?

If you’re sick, stay home. If everybody had done this in the first place, we probably wouldn’t have wound up shutting down our economy for months on end and driving everybody crazy. Healthy people can go to places and do things that sick people should avoid until they’re better. We do not need the government to tell us that. And we might have saved a couple thousand businesses from going under. It wouldn’t have been so much fun for tinpot tyrant mayors and governors, but it would’ve been a lot easier on America.

It would be a good thing if we learned this lesson.

And then we could start a discussion of the folly of hyper-urbanization. That’s another thing we need to learn.
