Dogs Who Didn’t Plan Ahead

Does this ever happen to you? You crawl under the couch or the bed, or burrow down between a couple of cushions–and you get stuck, you can’t get out again. Isn’t that embarrassing? Especially when it’s in front of company…

No? You haven’t had the experience? Well, a lot of dogs have; and you’ll see some of them in this video.

Always make sure you can get out before you go in! (Gee, that sounds like Sun Tzu…)

By Request, ‘The Redeemed of the Lord Shall Return’

Requested by Erlene (see how easy it is, everybody? all you’ve gotta do is ask), The Redeemed of the Lord Shall Return, performed by Maranatha Music. This is actually Scripture set to music–Isaiah 35:10 and 51:11.

Another New Low for the New York Times

All the nooze that’s fit to line the bottom of your bird cage

The journalistic dumpster fire that is the New York Times topped itself again yesterday, with this gem posted on Twitter, on the anniversary of 9/11:

“Eighteen years have passed since airplanes took aim and brought down the World Trade Center.” (https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2019/sep/11/new-york-times-now-deleted-tweet-marking-911-claim/)

The airplanes? The airplanes “took aim”?

Can you imagine how little respect the Times has for its readers, that it would ever publish such a thing, even on Twitter?

They also got the death toll wrong, saying it was “2,000” when in fact it was very nearly 3,000.  But heck, who’s counting? They were only useless Americans wiped out by two rogue airplanes.

Readers didn’t much care for this insult to their intelligence, so the Times deleted the stupid tweet and put up one that was somewhat less stupid. This time the culprit was not killer airplanes but “terrorist attacks”–apparently by persons unknown, or by no one in particular: the Times didn’t see fit to identify the enemy. The accurate term is “Muslim terrorists from Arab countries.”

Do you find it a bit grim that the American people, increasingly, are having to do without reliable sources of news? As citizens of a republic, exercising sovereignty at the polls, we need reliable information. Our mainstream nooze media refuse to give us any.

Here’s praying they get replaced by news outlets that will do their level best to give us honest news. I used to work for a newspaper like that, so I know it can be done. The New York Times doesn’t want to do it, that’s all.

By Request, ‘Faith of Our Fathers’

Joshua requested this much-needed break from stupid and unedifying nooze–Faith of Our Fathers, sung by the kids from Fountainview Academy on their visit to Italy. This was one of the first grown-ups’ hymns they taught us in our Sunday school, way back when.

Zillionaire College Athletes?

See the source image

Gettin’ a little hard to find stuff that ain’t corrupt…

They already get scholarships and free tuition, they’re immune to flunking out academically, and they have the added fun of being able to pose as “students.” But that isn’t enough for the state of California.

The Assembly has passed, by a 66-0 vote (!), a bill called “Fair Pay to Play,” which would allow college athletes to hire agents and make money from endorsements (https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/ncaabk/california-assembly-passes-legislation-to-pay-college-athletes/ar-AAH3QvF). A final vote in the Senate is scheduled for tomorrow. The NCAA has warned that this is likely to jeopardize the amateur status of California’s college athletes and render California schools ineligible to compete for NCAA national championships.

Aw, so what? Those racists at the NCAA just hate education.

Oh, well–it’s more honest than that whole pretense of “student-athletes.” But what about “higher education” is honest anymore?

Meanwhile, back in the real world, “pay to play” denotes corrupt politicians selling public  policy in return for campaign contributions and other goodies. That’s one thing that’s still less dishonest than college sports. But only just barely.

My Newswithviews Column, Sept. 12 (Democrats’ Christian-Bashing)

Anyone who still doubts that the Democrat Party is the Anti-Christian Party is simply not paying attention. I don’t know how much clearer they can make it to you, than this.

Democrats’ Christian-Bashing

These are the people whose god is their own bellies, who worship the brute power of the state and unceasingly grab for more of it, and who hate and fear anyone who isn’t them. They hate their own country–our country!–and want to “transform” it into something else.

I don’t believe our republic can survive another Democrat presidency.

Let’s play it safe, and just not have one. Ever.

‘Our Evil, Mindless Government’ (2014)

Was it really only eight years? It felt a lot longer than that!

People have short memories. How many have forgotten how truly awful the Obama presidency was?

Our Evil, Mindless Government

It was a festival of lawlessness. It was a celebration of all things perverse, insane, and wrong. We are blessed that our republic somehow managed to survive. But enough harm was done so that the next Democrat regime might finish us.

Use the power of the IRS to punish citizens for their politics? Oh, yeah!

But don’t let them catch you holding any bake sales…

‘O Thou Who Camest from Above’

A little high church to start the day–O Thou Who Camest from Above, sung by the Rochester Cathedral Choir.

If you’re new here–I take hymn requests, the hymn shop’s open to all, all the time. If you have a favorite hymn you’d like to share, just say so in a comment anywhere on the blog.

Paper Bag Attacks Cat

This is why you don’t want to give your cat one of those paper bags with handles. They always manage to get stuck in the handles and it freaks them out.

Astounding False Fact: A certain famous polar explorer was almost killed when he got stuck in a paper bag left lying on the igloo floor by a careless Inuit.

News Media Credibility Has Tanked

See the source image

Wow! A new poll reports 95 percent of American adults are “troubled” by the state of our nooze media today, and 67 percent expect “journalistic ethics” (LOL) to sink even lower in 2020 (https://www.thewrap.com/fake-news-fears-95-of-americans-troubled-by-current-state-of-media-poll-finds/).

The poll of 1,010 adults was taken by a “boutique PR agency,” whatever that is, called Bospar.

Are you surprised by this finding? Well, we’ve just been talking about how our whole nooze media in 2001 erased the news about all those people who danced in celebration, on rooftops and in streets, as the Twin Towers went down. It was an incredible feat of mendacity, to make that story go away. Before a year was out, you couldn’t find it anywhere. And for years afterward, nooze outlets denied they’d ever had video of those celebrations and nothing at all about it in their archives.

Never mind that millions of us saw it on live TV! To say nothing of eyewitnesses.

Next year you can be sure our free and independent media will be doing absolutely everything they can to put some Democrat wacko in the White House. They will lie, cheat, and steal to do it.

It would be good for us to rise to the occasion and not let them do it.
