Three of Miami’s oldest cemeteries are experiencing a rash of grave-robbing (http://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/community/miami-dade/article212504519.html). Because of the high water table, the graves there are above-ground, in stone or cement.
People have been breaking into the graves and stealing bones. Why? Says the caretaker, “There’s a lot of witchcraft going on, and I’ve been offered $1,000 for a skull.” But of course what we’re really supposed to say is that the bones are used in exotic “religious ceremonies.” Presbyterians? Lutherans? The caretaker thinks it’s disrespectful of the dead; it upsets him. Doesn’t he knew that all “religions” are equal, and the only one he’s allowed to diss is Christianity?
So we import these weird cultures that are simply not going to reconcile with our own, and then we’re sorry that our loved ones get torn out of their graves. Just doin’ their thing, says the anthropologist.
I don’t get why they have to do it over here.

We can’t help thinking the decline and fall was due to some really bad decisions as to which new products ought to be pushed. Among the biggest money-losers were these.
Whispering Wally, a TV series about a big-city police detective afflicted with a terrible stammer which he conceals by whispering. The fact that the dialogue was virtually inaudible doomed the show to failure.

The Cockroach Kids, a computer-generated animated feature film, with aspirations to morph into a series of children’s picture books, was unable to deliver on its much-ballyhooed promise of “multiculturalism for tots.” One movie reviewer confessed that he had to run out to the lobby every time the Cockroach Kids chowed down on spoiled cat food.
We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ Morality was a reality TV show aimed at “out-Springering Jerry Springer” in celebrating genuinely depraved people–many of whom were arrested on their way out of the studio.
Spot the Racist! Intended as a role-playing game for use in middle school classrooms, it never seemed to do anything but start fights and then lawsuits.
Milo Musch, CEO of Dumpsterfire, is still perplexed by his company’s nosedive.
“All the cultural trends were with us–we couldn’t miss!” he laments. “I guess it just goes to show you that there are still too many normal people running around loose. And I expect we’ll go down in history as being at least five years ahead of our time.”
Believe it or not, the American Civil Liberties Union and other Western leftids are now defending the barbarous practice of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), a prevalent custom in Muslim countries and among many native African groups.
It used to be called “female circumcision,” but that was a very misleading term. For a male to suffer the equivalent of this procedure would mean lopping off the entire three-piece set. If that statement is too gross for you, I can’t help it. This is evil stuff we’re talking about, and finding delicate language for it would be dishonest and confusing.
So now the ACLU is busy up in Maine, working to prevent making FGM a Class B crime that could be prosecuted by the state (https://conservativedailypost.com/aclu-defends-genital-mutilation-liberals-rejoice-islam-protected-despite-congressional-bill/). It already is a crime, according to federal law; but there aren’t enough federal prosecutors to go around. According to the Center for Disease Control–five years ago, in 2012–there were already half a million victims of FGM in the USA.
Is there any evil that liberals won’t endorse? Is there any good that they won’t oppose?
It’s not only the ACLU. Every left-wing nincompoop who believes in multiculturalism, including a crowd of anthropologists (!), supports the “right” to cut off girls’ genitals.
Oh! Did I mention that FGM is practiced only by Muslims, and a few pagans? That’s why the ACLU presents it as an issue of “religious freedom.” They make war on Christians for praying at a high school graduation, but they’ll also make war to defend the Muslims’ “right” to cut off a little girl’s genitals–and then they sew her up, only to have to cut her open again if she’s going to get married or have a baby.
And from the West’s feminists we hear… nothing. From the bunch who march around in pink pussy hats and snarl, “We are nassssty women!”, not a thing.
Is it permitted to ask whether it’s really that good an idea to bring in hordes and hordes of immigrants whose culture is totally incompatible with ours, and who refuse to assimilate? Is it all right for us to ask that question?
Or do we just have to let our leaders keep on doing it?
P.S.–The bill proposed in main would also criminalize eluding federal law by shipping the girls back to the Old Country to be mutilated there, and then brought back here to enjoy more free stuff.

Right now you’re probably thinking, “He’s got it mixed up with Planned Parenthood.” Really–witch doctors, black magic? Is this a joke? Has someone been reading too many Tarzan books?
No joke–it’s real. Link to the article above, and scroll down. You will find ads from South African newspapers advertising the services of various witch doctors. I mean, these guys have phone numbers and fax machines and email addresses, witchcraft with all the state-of-the-art trappings.
I stumbled over this phenomenon when my wife read a detective novel, Deadly Harvest by Michael Stanley. The author’s name is a pseudonym for co-authors Michael Sears and Stanley Trollip, both of them born and bred in South Africa. Let’s see what they have to say in the Authors’ Note.

Hey, all you multiculturalists out there! Is this the kind of thing you want to import into our “pluralistic” society, in which every notion, every custom, every cultural practice, is equally valid and praiseworthy?
Muti murders happen. They happen because people believe in magic and want it to be used on their behalf. These murders are very hard to solve because there’s usually no connection between the killer and his victim, which makes it hard to pin down a motive.
Africa is full of people who believe in this stuff–people who are every bit as superstitious, as credulous, as any public school- and college-educated voter in America.
