Remember at all times that American Democrats and other leftists passionately love Communist China and would like to do here everything that the communists do there.

China has one of the largest Christian populations in the world, and the communist death cult doesn’t like it. China pretends it has religious freedom: ask the Muslim Uighurs about that. You can find them in the concentration camps.

Earlier this month the Chicoms added some more restrictions to Christian use of the social media: blocking content on the “WeChat” platform (a Chinese equivalent of Facebook); removal of Christian accounts; and blocking Christian search terms, including “Christ,” “Bible,” and “Gospel” (https://barnabasfund.org/us/news/china-places-further-restrictions-on-christian-social-media-content/).

The government is doing these things in response to “complaints,” it says. Where have we heard that before?

Do we still want to ship our capital, our jobs, and our technology to China?

Well, yeah! I mean, the Big Guy has to get his 10 percent! And China can help Dems win elections. Oh! And the NBA really, really loves the Chinese Communist Party. They don’t want it coming apart like the Soviet Union did. The world’s biggest communist country is the Democrats’ spiritual home.

Communist China is “using Hollywood,” an “expert” has testified to Congress, “to exert influence and deepen its authoritarianism by censoring alternative ideas” (https://www.breitbart.com/national-security/2019/05/17/ngo-warns-china-using-hollywood-to-expand-authoritarian-reach/).

Surprise, surprise.

A spokesman from the National Endowment for Democracy told Congress that China has been buying American radio stations and other media outlets. Meanwhile, because China is a huge chunk of the global film market, and the Chinese government is assertive about getting what it wants, Hollywood tailors or edits the content of American-made movies to please the Chinese government. And finally, China has been actively trying to extend its influence throughout America’s universities–most often by intimidating Chinese students attending college in America.

Communist China sort of…exports tyranny. Why not? They have a lot of friends in America. “Progressives” admire China’s authoritarian way of doing things. Euro-dorks admire China’s way of doing things. Hey, voter fraud takes effort–so much neater if the peasants couldn’t vote at all. That way you avoid embarrassing surprises, like Hillary not being elected president.

So… if TV and movie content has seemed a little red around the edges lately… that’s probably because it is.

But no more so than our public schools and colleges. And I’m surprised China would ever have to pay for what American liberals are giving them for free.
