Actually, I was surprised to hear they hadn’t already done this years ago. What took them so long to decide to replace the real Bible with a fake one? American liberals have been doing that for ages.
Really, the Chinese Communist Party has nothing on the UCC and a dozen other flatline “churches” over here.

Look at that! Eight years ago, and they were already clubbing us over the head with stupid new pronouns that they just made up to cater to transgenders.
And we’ve managed to sink yet farther. Some tranny goes out and murders six people, including three little children… and what does our doddering jidrool in the White House say? “Transgendered people shape the soul of our nation.” My God, so that’s what’s wrong with it! Well, we knew it had to be something serious.
Idol-worship is as old as humanity–and every bit as much a sin today as it was in Noah’s time.

Believe it or not, those of us who write satires would really rather they did not come true. As, unhappily, this one did.
I run this post every now and then because I hope and pray that someday the churches will stop doing stupid stuff. The scales will fall from their eyes and they will see what they’ve done… and they won’t do it anymore! No more “gay weddings,” croning ceremonies, Interfaith goulash–and no more New New Testaments.
We know that actors, as a class, are not very smart. But every now and then, one of them rises to a level of stupidity that can only make the others gnash their teeth with envy.
Like, for instance, complaining about “religion” as the source of all the problems of the world.
One recoils in horror at the stuff they worship–the state, “Science,” gender fluidity (think “skull filled with brake fluid”), and, above all, themselves. Man perfectible by man–by means of mass executions, show trials, concentration camps, brain washing, and all the rest of that eminently humanist formula. God help us.
I’ve had three years to continue thinking about this. I went to college and it just about killed my religion. Worse–I didn’t even realize it. It took me 30 years to get back on track.
I don’t believe it’s an exaggeration anymore to say that leftids worship Failure. That’s why everything they say is good is really bad. The devil has taught them, and they have learned.
I wonder how much Satan, Marx, or Mao could charge for a guest lecture.
