‘He Who Would Valiant Be’

[Please pray for Patty to come home safe from her doctor’s appointment. It’s only a checkup, but we’re feeling rather vulnerable lately.]

Oh, this hymn sounds fine, played on a great big organ! He Who Would Valiant Be–I can’t ask for better.

Sabbath Rest

I want to rest, this Sabbath day. We should all rest: God knows we need it, and if we’re going to take our country’s future seriously, we’ll need to be well rested for the week (and weeks) to come.

I don’t see how you certify or ratify an election so rife with fraud as this one. I don’t see how the authorities can refuse to allow a thorough audit: because how do you govern when better than half the country is convinced you have no right to be there? Do they think it’ll go away? No–it will hang over any Biden regime (it sickens me to say it) forever. It will never go away: they cheated to get there. They cheated us. The stole our country from us.

So pray. We need to repent the sins, the sloth, and the foolishness that got us into all this trouble. We have to stop doing wicked stupid things. Our country is in the most danger it’s ever been in, not excluding World War II. The enemy is here and he has stolen our election.

It must not stand.

Fight it until it’s defeated; and may God the Father fight for us.

We’ll Vote a Day Early

We want to deliver our Official Mail-In Ballots today to the Secure Drop Box at the police station.

Each ballot came with several pages’ worth of instructions, which is probably enough to put off key elements of the Democrat voter base. Maybe they’ve outsmarted themselves this time, insisting on a vote by mail instead of in person, like it’s always been done. But they wished to sacrifice this election to their idol, Great Covid–and they’re counting on voter fraud to boost them back into power.

And then we can watch them murder our country.

If you have any intention of voting for any Democrat this year, please have the decency to sit out this election.

O Lord Our God! Deliver our country, once again, out of the hands of the ungodly and the wicked. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Please Pray for Us

My Aunt Joan, the last of my family in her generation, was taken to the hospital this morning. The doctor says “It doesn’t look good.” He had me choose between allowing her to die or else administering medication–and, if need be, inserting a breathing tube–that may possibly, but not necessarily, help her to recover. Because I could not bring myself to refuse any reasonable chance, I said to proceed with treatment. If her condition doesn’t improve, then I’ll have to make another decision.

I have no meaningful knowledge of medical procedures. Nevertheless, the buck stops here and I can’t–and won’t–pass it on to anyone else.

We are Christians, and we know where we are going. Most of the members of my family have already been seated at the Lord’s table. It’s not something that we have to fear. The part that truly, deeply hurts is to be left behind without our loved ones.

All I can do is to ask my Lord for guidance. Please join me in that prayer.

And I’ve posted this hymn, Behold the Mountain of the Lord–because it stirs my soul so deeply, and allows me to feel the Holy Spirit at my side.
