Global Warming, Eh?

Woolly Mammoth Snow Stock Illustrations – 637 Woolly Mammoth ...

Dadburned SUVs! If it ain’t global warming, it’s an ice age!

I thought all the world’s glaciers were supposed to be melting due to [impolite sound] “global warming,” aka “climate change.” But at the same time, “earth’s most dangerous (?) glacier is gaining ice” (https://dailygalaxy.com/2025/07/earth-most-dangerous-glacier-gaining-ice/).

Three glaciers seem to be merging into one in the Karakoram Mountains of central Asia. Scientists say they don’t know why.

Y’know, we did have ice ages once upon a time, the last one ending some ten thousand-plus years ago. No more woolly mammoths, no more sabretooth tigers. And fossils tell us of several ice ages at various times in earth history, going back practically to the beginning.

So some glaciers are melting… and some are not. It’s starting to sound like the Pleistocene Epoch (cave men, et al). Could it be that ice ages have always featured in earth’s history and our peerless leaders can’t make it stop? That they’re just using the threat of climate change [another impolite noise] to gain more control over us, and more wealth and power for themselves?

Oh, heck no! Right?

‘Idiot: “Get Baby’s Consent to Change Diaper”‘ (2018)

Betcha he didn’t give his consent!

How stupid can we get before we walk off the cliff to extinction?

How about this?

https://leeduigon.com/?s=idiot%3A+get+baby%27s+consent+to+change+diaper

Let’s face it–we don’t give enough decision-making power to babies. No wonder we don’t have Kamalalala as president! And I don’t see why our dogs, our cats, or our tropical fish shouldn’t have a vote.

{Holy moley, I’m tired! I think I’ll have a cigar before it starts raining. Bad weather is on the menu for the whole week. *Sigh*}

There’s Always Room for One Moa

Giant moa, artwork - Stock Image - C001/3508 - Science Photo ...

Totally defenseless: that’s why they’re extinct.

Led by movie-maker Peter Jackson, New Zealand scientists and entrepreneurs have launched a campaign to bring the extinct moa back to life (https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/4327971/posts). We know this is gonna be a fabulous project because they’re using indigenous words.

The moas were huge flightless birds, 12 feet tall… that were wiped out by indigenous people some 600 years or so. The Maori people discovered New Zealand, settled it, and killed off the moas.

Do I hear the Jurassic Park theme in the background?

Don’t get me wrong. I’d love to see a moa. I’d love to see dinosaurs, too. [John Hammond, call your office!] But there’s something about “de-extinction” that sets off alarm bells. “So first we wipe ’em out, and then we bring ’em back! There’s money in it, folks!”

Or maybe, in the course of bringing extinct species back from oblivion, we could, well, sort of touch ’em up, improve ’em… Make ’em more profitable. It’ll be a “blend of Maori wisdom and cutting-edge genomics!

And that’s when the dinosaurs get loose and start eating people.

Are We Thinking… Too Hard?

Mr. Clean - Wikipedia

(You’d think he could get a job guarding a harem or something.)

Dig this headline from three years ago–and try not to laugh… or scream.

“Scientists Say We’re Thinking Too Hard” (https://leeduigon.com/2022/08/14/scientists-say-were-thinking-too-hard/).

No ship–hard thinking, say French scientists, causes waxy buildup in the brain. Where’s Mr. Clean when you need him?

How many people do you know who think too hard? And where do you find them?

Inquiring minds want to know.

An Afternoon in ‘Jurassic World’

A man and a woman take cover behind a spherical vehicle, while various dinosaurs run from an erupting volcano.

I had a yen today to watch Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. It was the fourth film in the series, and it’s one of my favorites. It’s very refreshing to see a lot of rich fat-heads choking on their hubris. The world needs more of that in real life.

Fallen Kingdom, like all the others in the series, is a parable. “There was once a man, or group of them, who thought he could do absolutely anything…” We know where this is going–to the Land of Nothing Works. Just a couple of minutes into the film, we see an elevator door that doesn’t work. It’s telling us what to expect.

And it’s not just the machines that fall down on the job. The shambles, the disaster, is caused entirely by Real Smart People blinded by their own reflections in the mirror. But we know from history that most of the really stupid things done by the human race–Original Sin, in fact–are done by idiots who think they’re geniuses.

Our world already has too much of that.

Spain: Oppose ‘Transition,’ Go to Jail

70+ Crazy Woman With Chainsaw Stock Photos, Pictures & Royalty-Free Images - iStock

“Ready for your transition?”

Wow! Spain has come up with a hot one for parents–

–If they refuse to provide “transition/gender care”–they mean “sex change” operations–hey! It’s two years in jail for mom and pop (https://gatewayhispanic.com/2025/06/spain-impose-up-2-years-prison-parents-who/).

If a “third party”–a (ahem!) doctor, an “activist,” a schoolteacher, or any other Far Left interloper–decides your child MUST have “transition” into a superficial semblance of the opposite sex–and you don’t obey–it’s the Big House for you, comrade.

Don’t ask me to explain the reasoning behind this. I’m not sure there is any reasoning. Perversion and evil generate their own reasons.

Starfish Invasion!

Nine-armed starfish are hitting the beaches of Florida. Where’s the soothsayer when you need him? I mean it’s gotta mean something, doesn’t it?

Not that the starfish have done any harm (yet!), but some of us get nervous when things are out of place.

Enigmas of Cave Art

Cave art history | Resource | RSC Education

Why would any artist, or group of artists, climb through long, twisting underground passages to find a rock wall to decorate with their paintings? How much light could their lamps and torches provide? How many members of the community ever got to see those paintings?

And why are these pictures–from tens of thousands of years ago–every bit as well-executed as current modern paintings.? Bulls, mammoths, horses, reindeer, lions: the unknown artists’ mastery is astounding.

Thousands of self-portraits of… hands. What was that about–“Kilroy was here”?

510+ Cave Painting Hand Stock Photos, Pictures & Royalty ...

Why are animals depicted so realistically, while human figures, if we see them at all, are mostly faceless stick figures? There’s nothing here that’s even close to a portrait.

Why are all the animals shown in profile? We don’t have one frontal image.

Were the paintings tied in with religious rituals? Were they expected to ensure good hunting for the people who’d produced them?

We don’t have the answers to any of these questions. I doubt we ever will.

One last question: Why were these “cave men” so much better artists than people who lived thousands of years later?

‘A New “T. Rex”…with Feathers?’ (2019)

T. Rex Like You Haven't Seen Him: With Feathers - The New ...

Dinosaur… or winosaur?

Certain pieces of God’s creation aren’t here anymore, but there is much that we can learn by studying fossils. There’s also just as much, if not more, that we’ll never learn.

About dinosaurs, for instance.

A New ‘T. rex’… with Feathers?

Sometimes our speculations (I resist the urge to call them flights of fancy) are a little hard to swallow.

But I do think God the Father likes His children to exercise their brains. Some of those speculations have to turn out to be right!

Spinning Human Sacrifice

Human Sacrifice Before Mayan Deity Tohil by Science Photo Library

Just tryin’ to get in synch with the stars!

Once upon a time traders from Teotihuacan, near Mexico City, ventured far into the south, into what is now Guatemala. In one of their settlements they set up an altar. And on it they sacrificed human children.

https://redstate.com/bonchie/2025/04/14/archaeologists-find-a-child-sacrfice-altar-in-guatamala-cbs-news-proclaims-it-non-violent-n2187833

Well, we can’t have that in the nightly nooze! It messes up the narrative! So the noozies sought and found another professor who, although she had nothing to do with the archaeological discovery, comforted the troops with this:

“It’s not that they were violent, it was their way of connecting with the celestial bodies.”

Whew, that’s better! Eventually all those bloodthirsty native cultures would’ve given up human sacrifice in favor of singing Kumbaya and would’ve lived happily ever after. But alas! European white people showed up and wrecked the almost-there paradise.

We do not know why native American civilizations were so deeply involved with human sacrifice. Modern leftids like to make excuses for them.

We are not obliged to believe them.
