‘Prof Seeks Funds for Zombie Study’ (2015)

Bob Hope hits the bullseye.

Yes–now you can go to collidge, and run of a $150,000 debt, to study… zombies.

The fact that there’s no such thing as zombies doesn’t seem to deter anyone. College students study a lot of things that don’t exist and never have. Unless you define “white privilege” as the privilege of being blamed for everything and having to pay for entitlements to Democrat voting blocs.

Our universities–making America dumber by the day.

Top Scientist: Here Comes Immortality!

By 2050, according to a “top scientist,” human beings will acquire the ability “to not die” ( https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-5408425/Human-beings-achieve-immortality-2050.html).

Yessireebob, immortality is just around the corner! This will be thanks to “Artificial Intelligence mimicking human thought,” “body part renewal,” and “linking bodies to machines.” And thanks to cloning, our masters will be able to “restore the brain as it matures.” Paging Dr. Frankenstein…

Wow. Like, 700 more years of Nancy Pelosi in the House of Representatives. I can’t wait.

But what we’re talking about here is just another freakin’ simulation. “You” will become a collection of computer programs and whatnot. Stuff that imitates you.

Oh, but let’s say it really works, and you become sort of immortal. You’ll last for as long as the high-tech wizardry doesn’t spring a leak.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t like to imagine what that would be like. What if one of your personal updates goes wrong? What effect would it have on your mind, on your soul–presuming you still have one, once they’re through with you–to live without the certainty of eventual death… and without the hope of eternal life through Jesus Christ? With the thought that one slip, one glitch, and you’re gone for good–or maybe just turned into some kind of AI zombie that isn’t you at all?

Turn us all into a race of Terminators–yeah, what could possibly go wrong?

This is idol worship with a vengeance.

Since this announcement was made in 2015, how many students have graduated from college thinking zombies are real?

https://leeduigon.com/2015/12/16/prof-seeks-funds-for-zombie-study/

Then again, you might say they seem more real than they did three years ago! Take a gander at the nooze. If some of those people aren’t zombies, they do a really good imitation of ’em.

Prof Seeks Funds for Zombie Study

If you still don’t believe me, that college is a waste of time and money, there are way too many young people in college, there are way too many colleges and universities, etc.–well, read on.

First, let me just give you, verbatim, the lead to this news story from Latinos Health.

“Can a zombie apocalypse really occur? [No] Tara Smith, an associate professor from Ohio’s Kent State University, is issuing an international call to action to fund and promote studies on how to prevent a possible zombie outbreak.” (http://www.latinoshealth.com/articles/13743/20151215/zombie-apocalypse-possibility-rise-infection-trigger-international-call-action-expert.htm )

Zombie-ism is also being studied at Cornell.

Apparently they don’t understand, at our glorious institutions of higher learning, that there is no such thing as a zombie. Well, hey, if you can study an imaginary thing like man-made Global Warming, you might as well study zombies, too.

All right, at the very bottom of the article they say they’re popularizing Science, and trying to capture public attention for needed scientific work, by tying it in with… zombies.

Uh, Prof, do your students know there’s no such thing as zombies? Have you made that clear to them? Betcha haven’t.

So here we are, a bunch of interllecturals, schnorring for public money, taxpayers’ money, so we can study zombies! Like we don’t already take in enough moola in tuition?

America would be twice as good a country with half as many universities.
