I mean, heck, I tried running in and out of my living room closet at top speed, but all I accomplished was to knock over a bagful of Christmas ornaments, trip over my wife’s shoes, and wear myself out. I’m just not cut out to be a cat.
So here, watch the experts do it.
It’s not a rabbit at all, but a pika–furry little animals that live on mountainsides, amid the rocks. We have some in North America.
This is the “Ili Pika,” from a remote region of China. Until these photos were taken, it hadn’t been seen in 20 years. Please ignore the narrator’s blather about Global Warming causing this animal to go extinct. They only say that to make you believe you have to give the government a lot more of your money and expanded powers to trouble your lives.
Yes, it would be a tragedy to lose such an adorable little creature. Maybe a captive breeding program could ensure its survival. If it lived in America instead of China, something like that would already be happening.
This is the Cathedral of the Epiphany in Irkutsk, Siberia, and this is the music of its bells.
Built in the 17th century, the cathedral survived 70 years in the Godless Soviet wasteland, the communists having shut down religious services and converted it into a bread factory.
When I was growing up, there was no hope whatsoever that the Soviet Union would ever pass away. But it did! I was still in bed when Patty came running upstairs with the news: “There is no more Soviet Union!” It was as if God had simply plucked it off the table.
He can do things like that.
And the bells, so long silent, ring again. God hears them. He did not forget them, nor His people who were waiting for the day when they could hear them, too.
Some of the things liberals say–when you hear them, you don’t know whether to laugh or cry.
In an interview on PBS with Charlie Rose, Hillary Clinton said, “Hopefully Trump hasn’t ordered the killing of people and journalists” (http://insider.foxnews.com/2017/09/26/hillary-clinton-trump-i-hope-he-hasnt-killed-journalists-and-racist). I thought journalists were people, too; but she said it, not me.
Let’s see… who is most often rumored to have left a long trail of dead bodies in his/her wake–Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump? Far be it from me to say the stories are true. But they’re out there, and most of us have heard them. You’d think it was a subject she wouldn’t want to bring up.
Michelle Obama comes a close second for having said, “Any woman who voted against Hillary Clinton voted against their own voice.” The comment gives us a peek into the jumbled contents of a poorly-lit mind. Achtung! All women must vote for Hillary! Because she too is a woman! More or less.
I believe Democrats say things like this because they have cut themselves off from the living God as the source of all truth, and have listened to too many collidge prefessers and other interllecturals declaring that there’s no such thing as truth and the only thing that counts is getting your way, politically. It puts them into a position in which they get to thinking they can be gods themselves, if they play their cards right.
It is to our nation’s shame that we have ever let such persons as these obtain power and influence over us. We really ought to try very hard not to let that happen anymore.
Theologian R.J. Rushdoony believed the secular, statist order was dying and said so, and wrote so, many times. Rushdoony himself died in 2001, but his prophetic work lives on in his many books.
Rushdoony knew the secular order that bestrode the world would take a long time to die, and in its death throes do much damage. He would not have been surprised by what’s happenin’ now–eternal “protests” over nothing, riots all over, kids coming out of “education” a lot dumber than they went in, Democrats trying to get all the girls turned into boys and all the boys turned into girls… and so much more. And it does look like Team Satan is putting points on the scoreboard faster than we can keep count of them.
But think of some of the other things that happen, that the secular statists would surely stop if they could. Hillary Clinton was supposed to be president, and she isn’t. She was supposed to finish what Obama started, and she can’t. Football was supposed to mesmerize America into hating itself, and it can’t. Man-Made Climbit Change is supposed to be “settled science” and incontrovertible fact, and it isn’t. And even as Western peoples, beguiled and hornswoggled by their entertainment, education, and legal systems, fall away from Christianity, people all over Africa and Asia are finding Christ–multitudes of them. Even in the West, house churches and informal but tightly bonded Christians still hold high the torch of truth.
None of that would have surprised Rushdoony, either.
So the Devil’s wrath is great, because he knows his time is almost up (Revelation 12:12). He, through his servants, tries to do as much damage as he can: and then it’s off to the lake of fire for the lot of them.
Pray unceasingly.
Endure.
Delight in good works.
Be unafraid to speak the truth. God’s Word is truth.
God knows it’s hard. Be assured He will avenge His saints. If we are hated for His sake, so were God’s prophets hated once, and Christ’s apostles. Our very existence offends the secular statist Left almost more than they can bear. Just to know any of us still walk the earth is a grief and a provocation to them.
Endure. The Lord will come. Endure.
