It takes a strong stomach to scan the nooze, these days. You’d swear there was a concerted effort being made, by all the villains in the world, to wipe out our freedom once and for all.

But not to worry–Mark Zuckerberg has seen the light, he won’t be a bad guy anymore, honest, he’s promised… Can you gimme hallelujah?

The mayor of Surprise, AZ, recently ordered a woman arrested for her criticism of the government body (https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2024/08/above-accountability-arizona-mom-arrested-council-meeting-mayor/).

They have a “rule,” you see, forbidding any citizen”to lodge charges or complaints against any employee of the city to members of the [city council].” Uh, to whom else would you complain?

Wow. And here was me, a reporter, thinking one of the actual purposes of a council meeting was to hear complaints–and answer them. I must have covered literally hundreds of those public meetings (in New Jersey, no less) and never saw anyone arrested for voicing a complaint. I wonder how many thousands of complaints I heard, over the years.

Rebekah Massie, with her 10-year-old daughter in the audience, was arrested and charged with “criminal trespass.” I don’t know how you “trespass” on a public building supposedly open to members of the public. Is this the legacy of January 6, 2021?

Is this happening around the country, or is Surprise, AZ, uniquely marxist? Have our municipal officials been placed above and beyond criticism? Welcome to Venezuela North.

We were still celebrating COVID when this column came out–on the heels of Australia deciding “There will be no talking!” until the government says you can.

Back to the Playpen

Where do you go to find a government that respects the individual, and admits its own limits? The answer to that question used to be “America.” I don’t know what it is now, I don’t know where you go to get their dirty hands off your neck.

Back in 2015 a federal judge declared that “the price of citizenship” is… “tolerance.” What did he mean by that?

You saw that coming, didn’t you? Of course he meant “Obey the gay.” That’s what they always mean. “Cough up your freedom! Do as you’re told!” That’s the price he wants to charge us for citizenship in his people’s democratic republic.

And if you don’t think that’s precisely what our Democrat Party stands for, and aspires to–you just don’t pay attention, do you?

“School officials” in Rutherford, Tennessee, wanted parents to sign a pledge not to “interfere” with the teaching of their children… ‘Cause the schools were closed for The Great Pandemic and the kiddies had to stay home and (ahem!) “learn online.”

Have They Finally Gone Too Far?

No, I’m not nostalgic for the masks and shutdowns. I’m re-running these pieces because guess what, it’s another election year–time for another Terrible Disease that leaves us no alternative but mail-in ballots! And guess who’ll win.

They got away with it in 2020. Can they get away with it again? Or have they got another fantastically dirty trick up their sleeves? How about mass terrorism here at home, necessitating the replacement of the polls with drop boxes?

Be assured of this: Democrats will kill America if that’s the only way they can own it.

I have come to believe that government’s great mission is to enslave the human race. Our Founding Fathers tried to create a republic where every citizen would be safe from being devoured by the government–tried, and made a wonderful effort. But human greed, folly, vice, and wickedness continue to erode the structure that they left us in the Constitution.

Oh, if only crimes could be punished before they were committed!

More “saving Our Democracy”

You don’t need me to tell you what the nooze is today. Besides, I try to set aside Sunday as a no-nooze day. Reserve a day to the LORD.

It’s not so easy to do. Suddenly millions of people who’ve been paying no attention discover that assorted nameless, faceless “handlers” in the White House have been gaslighting America since 2019. Telling us our so-called president was smart as a whip, nothing wrong here. When all the time he was but a step or two from being an animated mummy. And not animated that skillfully, either.

All lies, all the time. You’d think someone has hexed our country. How else to explain the last four years?

Pray the Lord will do some weeding-out, Pray the Lord will save us.
