It doesn’t have to be World War III. Or the plague, or an asteroid slamming into our planet. Civilization can trickle away in little drips and drabs. Ask any Hittite.

Here was one of our mornings, some years ago.

All the frozen food at our supermarket had been allowed to melt.

So we went home, and found a car that we didn’t recognize in our parking lot. We pay to park there. This car didn’t look like its owner paid for anything. A man and a woman lay sleeping in the front seat. By and by they woke up and went away. We did not know who they were. Maybe they didn’t know, either.

Viewers Are Morons - TV Tropes

One of the things I hate the most about going to the doctor is the TV they’ve got babbling in the waiting room. We don’t have TV in our house, so there’s always culture shock. Like, “Holy cow, is this for real? Please tell me I’m dreaming!”

Yesterday’s waiting room ordeal featured a show called Tampon Hill, or something like that. The host babbled. The guests babbled. The studio audience applauded like their lives depended on it. I suppressed the urge to scream.

Oh, the drivel! Best-sellers crammed full of it. People learning how to parrot it back upon demand. If you could remove the top of your skull and empty a cup of Drano into the cranium, the effect would be similar to that of repeated exposure to daytime television.

Why, why, why do we keep watching? Can’t we feel our brain cells shriveling?

Inquiring minds want to know.

In the words of one House Democrat, “There needs to be blood.”

I’m not entirely sure the story is true, but it’s not incredible. Are Democrats all that crazy? Well, who says they aren’t?

What is it that they want? Uh… power. And damn the consequences.

They mustn’t be allowed to get it.

Gee, you miss stuff like this when you don’t watch TV.

This ad is supposed to make you want to buy a Jaguar–sight unseen, of course. All we see is freaky models who don’t look quite alive–or quite human, for that matter–doing freaky things.

Someone said, “Now we know where the ad team for Bud Light went.” But this is worse. Someone else said, “We’re here to delete ordinary.”

How about a little honesty? For instance: “Hi! We’re always looking to recruit new faces for our jolly squad of perverts and wackos. If you think you might be weird and twisted enough to be one of us… shave your head, dye your face, and wear a tutu. And don’t worry about looking for us: we’ll find you!”

So much for Western civilization.

Spain: Oppose ‘Transition,’ Go to Jail

“Ready for your transition?”

Wow! Spain has come up with a hot one for parents–

–If they refuse to provide “transition/gender care”–they mean “sex change” operations–hey! It’s two years in jail for mom and pop (https://gatewayhispanic.com/2025/06/spain-impose-up-2-years-prison-parents-who/).

If a “third party”–a (ahem!) doctor, an “activist,” a schoolteacher, or any other Far Left interloper–decides your child MUST have “transition” into a superficial semblance of the opposite sex–and you don’t obey–it’s the Big House for you, comrade.

Don’t ask me to explain the reasoning behind this. I’m not sure there is any reasoning. Perversion and evil generate their own reasons.

Prof Hopes Iran Strikes US Base

Let us quote a professor at Georgetown University, who said this:

What? Does he think some Democrat sits there dremmeling in the White House, unable to take any action requiring a verb?

Well, he quickly deleted his post, once he saw what normal people thought of it. Not quick enough to say it never happened.

Would he have stood up and cheered when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor?

What’s with these academics and Democrat politicians lining up behind Iran? Is that their plan to win the next election?

The world needs the extinction of the Democrat Party.

And throw in the teachers’ unions while we’re at it.

‘Juneteenth’ on the Ropes

It was supposed to be a celebration of the end of slavery in America, in 1865; and they called it “Juneteenth.”

Now it seems to be fading away–supposedly due to lack of funding. They say the funding’s drving up (https://www.huffpost.com/entry/juneteenth-sponsorships_n_6850089be4b07f75743aa8de).

At the same time, donations seem to be drying up for Homosexual “Pride” Month (what they’re “proud” of continues to elude me).

Is America coming back to her senses? Finally, at last, thank the Lord–sweeping out all that “diversity” crapola? Are we finally coming out of it?

I pray so. The 21st Century is a dangerous time… and certainly no time for indulging idiotic fancies.

 

‘Hang Harry Potter’?

British wackos are in an uproar over the UK Supreme Court’s ruling that there are only two sexes, male and female. They want to hang J.K. Rowling, the creator of Harry Potter, for agreeing with the vast majority of the human race.

But even more so, that sign in the picture caught my eye: “Protect Trans Future.”

Uh… does “trans” have a future? Like, if everybody were to become transgender, would not the natural outcome be human extinction?

[First let me wish you all a happy Easter, on this holy day, Good Friday. I am trusting the Lord to let me get away with a bit of humor–in His service.]

Not so many years ago, there was a Perky Publicist who kept trying to get me to review his clients’ books. I never mentioned any of his authors by name, thinking it would be inhumane to do so. Bad enough they were was paying the publicist.

And every now and then, something like this would come along:

Romance + Fantasy = Literary Vandalism

Yes, it was yet another Sexy Vampire yarn, the kind that might make you toss a week’s worth of cookies. The publicists have finally stopped bugging me, so I don’t know whether they’re still pushing Sexy Vampires With Goofy Names or not.

But as my editor pointed out, even that is better than Jobydin’s Transgender Inclusion Day–which he tried to glue to Easter.

Some of this stuff is not as funny as it seems at first.

Driving Children Crazy

Eventually widespread protests by virtually everybody (including the Pope) kept the scheme from being implemented. I mean, you’ve gotta be really out there, to lose the Pope’s support.
