You’re never too young to learn to spy on others!

Folks, this ship is going down and you don’t want your family on it when she does.

Now we hear that public education has teamed up with the Dept. of Homeland Security to train “teachers” and students to spy on one another (https://legalinsurrection.com/2024/02/dhs-is-training-teachers-to-develop-student-disinformation-informers-i-know-i-took-the-training/). It’s a 12-week training course to create a “K-12 surveillance program” aimed at “disinformation” and “violent extremism.”

This is the Biden regime, so we don’t know what they would define as “disinformation” or “extremism.” Anything done by anyone who isn’t them?

And guess what they’re calling it! Dig this: “Media Literacy.” What the devil is that? And how does Homeland Security reach its tentacles into local schools?

Out, out, out! Get your children out of there before it’s too late! Abandon ship! Under no circumstances should these persons be allowed anywhere near children.

Unless you really like Critical Race Theory & Teaching, grooming kids for sex with adults, and promoting transgender, racial animosity, satanism, etc… Then I guess you’ll like the public schools.

Students Wreck Boys’ Room Tampon Dispenser

Your school tax dollars at work! For girls who say they’re boys. Or whatever.

You know public education is doing its thing whenever you see tampon dispensers installed in boys’ rest rooms.

Brookfield High School, in Connecticut, got a taste of pushback a few days ago when they set up a tampon dispenser in a boys’ rest room (https://www.newstimes.com/news/article/brookfield-high-tampon-dispenser-vandalized-18637010.php). In just 20 minutes, the dispenser was torn from the wall and broken into pieces. The principal was very much put out. “A student or students,” school officials said, was disciplined for it. They’re not telling us which.

Well, we’ve told you, haven’t we? “Public education” is completely sold on transgender and means to force it down the parents’ throats. The only meaningful response is to pull the children out of those public schools. 

Once upon a time, parents, not students, would have put a stop to this. But now parents are afraid the (ahem!) School Officials would sic the FBI on them–which has actually happened here and there.

Public education, people, is not your friend.

Woke School District Cancels Columbus Day

The Stamford, Connecticut, school district has voted, 5-3, to remove the Columbus Day holiday from its school calendar (https://nypost.com/2024/01/29/news/connecticut-school-district-facing-backlash-after-stripping-veterans-day-columbus-day-from-holiday-calendar/). While they were at it, they also canceled Veterans Day.

The reason given was that the school year is too long, so let’s get rid of these two days off. The public is not happy with the school board’s decision. And that’s putting it mildly.

Well, folks, the ball’s in your court. Keep your kids home on Columbus Day–what’s the school board going to do then? Better yet–keep ’em home, period. Don’t let the teachers’ union and a pack of self-anointed “educators” turn them into good little brainless leftids.

Why So Many School Shutdowns?

Public schools are shutting down all over the country. In 2021-22, 755 schools closed. Edsource.org has the numbers here (https://edsource.org/2023/as-enrollments-decline-state-leaders-should-help-districts-mitigate-school-closure-pressures/688265), provided by the National Center for Education Statistics, 2023.

Why are these schools being closed? It is usually attributed to “declining enrollment,” but that doesn’t answer the question of why there is “a shrinking student population.”

We’re in favor of Christian homeschooling, big-time: public education in America today, as practiced by teachers’ unions and left-wing “educators,” is a moral disaster–unless, of course, you think their promotion of “transgender” is a good thing. To say nothing of their racial shenanigans.

Families have been fleeing Blue states like California, chased out by rising taxes and crazy classroom policies–could that have something to do with it? Just askin’.

Our public education system is a mess, and more and more people know it. Get your kids out of the clutches of those teachers’ unions.

First They Wanted Him In, Now They Want Him Out

Fairfax parents announce petition for county school board chairman’s recall

Did he read them before or after he was sworn in on them?

Remember, a few weeks ago, the county school board chairman in Fairfax Co., Virginia, having just been re-elected, took his oath of office on a stack of “gay” books already banned in many school libraries. Well, now there’s a petition to have him recalled from office (https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/2792605/news-fairfax-parents-petition-school-board-chair-recall/). Well, hey–when you swear an oath, you swear on what’s sacred to you–right? Fairfax parents (who elected this glob in the first place) now know what’s sacred to him. So they want him out of there.

Probably nothing will come of it. When I used to cover school board elections, as an editor and a reporter, the candidates ran without ever mentioning any party affiliation. School board wasn’t supposed to be about politics. Bringing politics into a school board election would have been considered unseemly.

Well, this kiddie-groomer ran openly as a Democrat (as if we didn’t know!) and was re-elected to his office.

Parents, this is what you’re going to get and keep on getting for as long as you subject your children to public education. Get it through your heads: These “educators” think your children are their property, to do with as they please. And what pleases them is evil and corrupt.

Pull your children out of public school. It’s the only way.

While we’re on the subject of public education, do you think it’s unreasonable to expect the classroom teacher to know more than her students? Like, if you were teaching fifth-grade math, should you be expected to know, say, high-school-level math?

I post this item now and then because it rather appalled me, in 2018, that so many math teachers were flunking their math exams. Never mind “Those who can’t do, teach”–have you looked at teacher salaries lately? Teachers’ union contracts? We’re paying a fortune for this mess.

What gets me is that whole idea that parents aren’t “qualified” to school their children at home. I’m sure I could flunk a math test with the best of them.

When I was in elementary school, more than a few teachers used humiliation and mockery as disciplinary tools. But beyond a certain point, they dared not go.

Now they go beyond it with impunity.

So you pay a fortune for an “education” that leaves you just as ignorant, four or five years later, as you were when you first came through the door. Maybe more so.

All over the country, “higher education” is responding to a crisis in performance by drastically lowering the standards.

Chicago Set to Abolish ‘High-Achieving’ Schools

I give up. What does “public education” have to do, to chase the public out? The insults, the abuses, the waste, the low expectations, the purposeful indoctrination of children into the politics of perversion–how much farther does it have to go, before the people cry “Enough! No more!”

Chicago–whose teachers’ union, a few years ago, made a pilgrimage to Venezuela to “learn” (God help us) from dictator Hugo Chavez–has announced a plan to eliminate “high-achieving programs” in 11 schools (https://jonathanturley.org/2023/12/19/achieving-equity-through-mediocrity-chicago-moves-to-eliminate-high-achieving-school-programs/). The city’s Far Left gasbag mayor promised that he wouldn’t do that–but what’s the promise of a Democrat politician worth? Shame on anyone who believed him. So they’re gonna do it anyway.

As Jonathan Turley succinctly explained it, “Major cities with failing public education programs are erasing performance gaps in their schools by decapitating the top performers rather than elevating the performances overall.”

It’s what they always do. So much easier on the union! They can’t make everybody rich, but they can always make everybody dumb. That’s… “equity”!

What do we expect to get out of public education anymore?

Search me!
