DOE to Schools: Obey the Law or Lose Your Funding

The U.S. Dept. of Education has put five Virginia school districts on “high alert status”–because the schools have disobeyed a federal order to keep girls out of boys’ bathrooms and boys out of girls’ (https://www.ed.gov/about/news/press-release/us-department-of-education-places-five-northern-virginia-school-districts-high-risk-status-and-reimbursement-payment-status-violating-title-ix).

So it looks like these districts may have had federal funds coming to them, but they won’t get that money for as long as they keep “gender identity” bathrooms–or, to follow them into euphemism, “intimate facilities.”

The districts in question are Alexandria City, Arlington, Fairfax County, Loudon County, and Prince William County.

MEANWHILE… Several teachers in the San Francisco school district “are not getting paid.” The money seems to be running out. Uh-oh.

“We will require them to cover their own expenses” –Linda McMahon, U.S. Secretary of Education.

‘Parental Responsibility’ for Under-18 Lawbreakers

As a newspaper reporter way back in the 1970s, one or two of the towns I used to cover came up with “parental responsibility laws,” making parents criminally liable for offenses committed by their children. Did that produce some wild politics!

As I recall it, none of these acts made it into the legal code: too much opposition. But that was then, and now is now. That which failed back then is now succeeding.

Gloucester Township has passed a Parental Responsibility Act. No one has yet been arrested and charged for children’s misdeeds. But it’s early days–plenty of time to drum up bitter courtroom battles.

What goes around comes around.

The press for a parental responsibility law picked up momentum last year, in the wake of a… let’s call it a youth riot… that ruined a municipal celebration that this year couldn’t be held. Whether it’ll ever be held again remains to be seen.

Democrat Los Angeles City Councilman Charged with Corruption for Embezzling $800,000

(“Politics been very, very good to me!”)

A Los Angeles city councilman, Curren Price (apt surname!), has been charged with embezzling $800,000 from the public purse. He’s also facing five charges going back to 2023, when he was elected.

Developers have been paying handsomely for his “yes” vote on their projects.

Mr. Price (“The Price is right!”) may be looking down the barrel of jail time…. but we shall see.

Gee, for some reason the Democrats want him to step down.

The candidate, one William McLeod, when confronted by police, referred to himself as “God” and “Superman.” I didn’t know either of them was on the ballot. And Superman seems to have lost his cape.

The arrest occurred in May. The whole incident was recorded by police dash cam footage.

Where do Democrats find their candidates?

Somewhere a village is missing its idiot.

THE INCREDIBLE SHRINKING PREMIER: UK’s Starmer Stumbles to His LOWEST Popularity Levels Ever, With 68% Disapproval of His Government and Only 13% Support

Thirteen percent–yes, 13%–of British voters say they approve of the job being done by their current premier, Keir Starmer. Thirteen percent. How the devil did this guy ever get elected in the first place? Sheesh. Richard III was more popular than this Labor Party twaddler.

Among Starmer’s more unpopular actions, we find, in his first 400 days, let in 50,000 migrants, freed 26,000 convicted criminals (way what?)… but it would be tiresome to continue.

Will the United Kingdom still be here in 2050? Where are the Britons going to go after they’re pushed out of their homeland… by aggressive Muslims aided and abetted by police forces who act like they were put on this earth to chase the Britons out of Britain. 

Time is running out, Brits. This won’t be the first time you were conquered by an alien nation. But it’s fair to ask, “How many chances do they get?”

All over the Western world, it’s getting bad. Our cops want to lock us up for Thinking Bad Thoughts. How much longer before Britain is reduced to a Muslim colony?

Is the Alamo still in Texas?

I don’t think we appreciate, yet, the subtle brilliance shown by Texas Democrats in absconding from the state before a vote can be taken on a current redistricting bill. It really is quite clever! “Heads we win, tails you lose.”

Now, if they find themselves in the minority in any issue before the Texas legislature, they can simply run away–and presto, no quorum. No vote. They can always come back to vote on bills that they like. For all practical purposes, they are always running the show, always in charge, no matter which party won the last election. It’s only the public that gets disenfranchised. The party they actually voted for will never have a quorum.

“We’re the defenders of democracy!”

Gee, who’s that in the right-hand photo?

Why, that’s Jesus Christ, of course–all ready for another turn of Jesus Christ, Superstar. This time they’ve depicted Him as a bald black woman with a screechy voice and extravagant gestures. Amazing, how totally the Bible missed that.

Following this horror we have Joe the Schmoe bumbling and fumfering, an overdose of Kamalalala, and other tidbits which, if nothing else, remind us what a disastrous bullet we dodged in 2024.

Just now they’re squabbling among themselves about who should be The Leader.

One hardly knows where to begin.

What a Change in the Spirit of Texas

Compare and contrast this bit of Texas history with today’s current events.

The freedom fighters in Texas had one cannon, just one, in the town of Gonzales; and they had a flag that defied  Santa Ana to “Come and Take It.” The Mexicans, despite their overwhelming numbers, took the town but couldn’t take the cannon. The video will tell you the rest of the story.

Fast forward to 2025! After first invoking the primordial battle cry, “Come and Take It,” Texas Democrats… ran away. Upped stakes, scarpered, chickened out. No whisper of “Remember the Alamo.” Were they fleeing to save their lives? No: they were fleeing to avoid a quorum on a redistricting vote. And once they saw which way the wind was blowing, it was “Run away! Run away!”

A couple of them have since come back from skulking in Chicago. Legislators are supposed to legislate, not panic when it seems the vote won’t go their way. The governor has threatened to keep them out of the legislature for refusing to do their duty and carry on their proper function.

Yo, Texas! Are you proud of these doozies? [Yes, I did write about this earlier. I just can’t get over how shameful it is.]

Those Wacky Socialists

Democratic Socialists of America Panel Says They Want to Abolish the Family, Perform Abortions in Churches (VIDEO)

Why are these people all wearing face masks? (Heck, we could turn that into a contest, couldn’t we?)

They were speakers at a Democratic Socialist Conference last month, nattering away about how great it’d be to perform abortions in churches, abolish the family, abolish capitalism… because “capitalism and the nuclear family” (stop me if you’ve heard this before) equal “racism.”

They are all white, by the way.

Don’t laugh. These jokers have a front-running candidate for mayor of New York City. I keep trying to forget his name. Zorro Mangani or something. Wait’ll you see what the Big Apple turns into if he’s elected. (That could be another contest.)

Well, it’d be too bad if New York voters chose to stampede off this cliff. But how could they blame anybody but themselves?
