Why is a very popular movie, about a very popular historical figure, ineligible for a Best Picture Oscar?

See, they’ve got these Diversity requirements–“Diversity, Equity, Inclusion” (has the French Revolution been here lately?). A movie has to hit a certain number of squares on the Diversity Bingo Board in order to be eligible for an Oscar.

This is more asinine than I can say. Like, who cares about plot or character or action–what really matters is the percentage of Cherished Minorities in the cast. “Well, the plot made no sense, the actors stumbled over their lines, even the popcorn was bad–but by cracky, all the scenes included the required number of Minorities!”

There is something very wrong with anyone who thinks that way.

And something wrong with any movies they might make.

Why, our U.S. senators are just plain folks! Look, here’s Sen. Minority Leader Chuck Schumer grilling a cheeseburger. Heck, it’s like being governed by your favorite uncle.

Note the slice of cheese placed on top of the raw hamburger. This raises the question: how is he going to turn the burger? Won’t that get rather messy? Or is he only going to cook the burger on one side?

Decisions, decisions! Maybe he’ll put some ketchup on it, too… before he turns it. But what the heck, it’s only a photo-op, isn’t it?

It’s said that Davy Crockett once defined a senator as “half horse and half man.” Which half of the horse would represent Chuck Schumer?

You can get what you want–but you’ll have to pay for it.

Maine Gov. Janet Mills–Democrat, of course–has defied the federal government’s ban on male athletes (“trans women”) playing girls’ and women’s sports (https://www.breitbart.com/sports/2025/02/24/maine-republican-says-extreme-trans-athlete-policy-will-cost-state-millions/)–a move that could, and probably will, cost Maine some $250 million in federal aid to education.

Why do Democrat politicians want to do this? And it’s not just politicians: the Maine Principals’ Assn. is all in for it. Well, that’s public school “educators” for you.

And what’s a quarter of a billion dollars? Just raise the school tax! That’s the usual remedy.

We really need an explanation of the Democrats’ bizarre fondness for “transgender.” How is this a good idea? How can anyone but a crackpot support it? What great good is it expected to accomplish?

The problem with public education is the educators

Your children need to be taken out of these reprobates’ hands.

It’s nothing but another wave of trash talk.

It’s “All hands on deck!” for Democrat governors who are trying to protect and promote their not-quite-sane “transgender” policies.

Latest example: Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers wants to replace the word “mother” with “inseminated person” (https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/world/us/beyond-parody-governor-faces-backlash-for-proposing-to-change-mother-to-inseminated-person-in-wisconsin/articleshow/118499306.cms). Not everybody is taken with the idea.

Again we ask, as we’ve asked so many times: Why? Are they ashamed of the fact that they had mothers? Are they ashamed of being human? Of being mammals?

They ought to be ashamed of being Democrats. They ought to be ashamed of the trash talk that burbles out of their mouths. They’ve got plenty to be ashamed of without turning on their mothers.

Man, I thought I’d never have to see this [censored] again, once I’d finished high school. And for a few decades, this was true.

But now Donald Trump is president, the man’s a philistine, he don’t like art–and he should leave Kennedy Center alone! And PBS, too! He don’t want to spend public money on this stuff anymore. Like there was ever any better use for pubic money!

But no! He wants Kennedy Center to put on the kind of shows he likes! Jugglers, maybe.

Well ha-ha-ha, Mishter Trump, the joak it is on you!! We are coming after you with INTERPRETIVE DANCE! Stick that in your bong and smoke it! Interpretive Dance will clean out your head! You will try to hide but you aint gonna do it–nobody hides from interpretive dance!

Itll drive you out of the White House and then Kamalalala she can be president  and we can go back to protesting Other Stuff.

Uganda’s NGOs (non-governmental organizations) are barking and growling at the U.S. for takin’ away their condoms and lubricants, supplied via USAID (https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2025/02/uganda_upset_at_lack_of_condoms_lubricants_blames_usaid_funding_freeze.html).

“People are going to die!” exclaimed the oracle.

President Trump very recently suspended the funding of USAID, very, very much of which was used for frivolous and sometimes out-and-out anti-American purposes.Well, now it’s his fault if anybody dies!

Has anyone even suggested that these governments provide the necessities for their own people, and not look to our country to foot the bill? Like, what if America couldn’t do it anymore? Then it’s curtains for the world, everybody dies, hasta la vista, baby?

Yeahbut, yeahbut! What about Transgender Care? Who’s going to pay for that all over the world, if not us? What about grants to “progressive news agencies” who proclaim to the world the abominable moral failings of America? Ya mean we don’t have to pay for that? Who knew?

Maybe Uganda ought to write a letter to Santa Claus.

Says the headline, the Dept. of Defense funds “active social engineering defines large-scale social deception” (https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2025/02/shocking-revelation-thomson-reuters-far-left-propaganda-arm/).

Thomson-Reuters–which may or may not be an arm of the Reuters news agency–has a scheme of “identifying, disrupting, and investigating social engineering attacks.” What does that mean? It means to “exploit human psychology and trust, often bypassing technical security measures [CLICK LINK AND SCROLL DOWN TO VIEW CHART]. “Lies, half-truths, and omissions” are all on the table.

Do we understand this? Is this how we want our government to use the money it collects from us in taxes? Whom is to be deceived? (Hint: us.) Elon Musk says it’s not for our good (ya think?).

As Sun Tzu once said, all warfare entails deception. It’s okay for us to deceive our enemies. But here were are also talking about the American government systematically deceiving the American people. Thomson-Reuters landed a $9 million contract from the Dept. of Defense in 2018. They’ve been playing with it ever since.

Is Disney going back to dancing with who brung ’em?

Is it possible that we, the good guys, have begun to win the war on “woke”?

It seems that Disney Corp has backed off its “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” jihad. Some of its classic films, like Peter Pan, are being restored to their original DEI-free quality (https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2025/02/disney-making-dei-changes-will-impact-classic-movies/); and a corporate memo has surfaced stressing a new “focus on talent rather than outward identity.”

“Woke” has taken a lot of deep pot-holes at the box office lately. Are they getting the message? Have they begun to understand that most American movie-goers don’t like Far Left Crazy getting preached at them every time they want to go to the movies?

They won’t give up easily; but for now it looks like they’d rather not go broke.

Let’s Make Football Bigger!

Sorry, but I just don’t like sports anymore. I used to, but they’ve driven me away.

What do they expect to get out of this?

There are no women playing in the NFL. For obvious reasons! (If you deny them, you’re a nitwit.) But of course the NFL wants to be bigger and bigger, so they’ve started a marketing push (oy!) for flag football–“Make it a varsity sport in all 50 states.”

For those who don’t know: In flag football, instead of tackling the player with the ball, you just pull off one of her plastic “flags.” It’s intended to be safe.

(What did I ever see in football? Was it just George Blanda?)

So maybe we really could have two or more Super Bowls–one for the big beefy guys and the other for girls who’d like to be guys. And any other category you can think ot!
