I’m surprised no one has entered this in our Christmas Carol Contest–glorious 14th century Christmas hymn, On This Day Earth Shall Ring, more properly Personent Hodie, sung here by the Mount Holyoke College Vespers. We sang this, long ago, in our middle school Christmas concert. Before they outlawed wholesomeness.
As for the contest, the leader from the first day is still the leader with 25 views on the day it was requested… and still leading on Christmas Day itself. So many of you haven’t entered!
And don’t forget to show up for our cyber-Christmas party…
Cute little girl and excitable dog sharing a Christmas tree–what could go wrong? I can’t tell if the tree has been purposely decorated with dog toys for the dog to pull off: but then he declares a vendetta against the little girl’s stuffed snowman. The child doesn’t seem to mind. Maybe she’ll grow up with odd notions.
What if they had a Democrat rally in Atlanta and nobody came? Oh, wait a minute–they did have a Democrat rally in Atlanta and nobody came.
Crikey, they tell us this bozo, this monkey, got 80+ million votes–and no one comes to hear him speak? A flea circus would draw a bigger crowd than this. There are more signs than people. More “journalists” than people.
You’d think they could’ve hit Soros up for some money and manufactured a cheering crowd. Was it too much trouble, to do that? Or do they really, truly think “We’ve got this, we’ve already got it, we don’t have to do anything”? After all, they have voting machines that reliably give them however many votes they need to manufacture a consent. Public support has become irrelevant to them.
This is why we’re going to win: the enemy is both stupid and so puffed up with hubris that he can’t see straight. All we have to do is not give up. Keep gathering the evidence, speaking the truth, and by all means turn off the nooze media: they’re just the organ grinders’ monkeys. There’s too much evidence to sweep under the rug, with more coming in by the hour. This presidential election was perverted, corrupted, and stolen by the Democrats. Do not give up. Do not rest until it’s overturned.
Because if it’s not, we don’t have a republic anymore.
And that’s all the nooze I’m gonna do today, or Christmas Day–so enjoy it (if that’s the word for it).
This is the theme music for the 1984 movie version of A Christmas Carol, starring George C. Scott as Scrooge: God Bless Us, Everyone, by Nick Bicat. The rest of the movie’s pretty good, too!
I was going to post just cats and dogs playing in the snow and let it go at that, but the Bunnies’ Union was on my case as quick as boiled asparagus. The long and short of it is, they convinced me to post a video of rabbits playing in the snow, too.
I had only heard this carol once, years ago, but I never forgot it. Thank you, Phoebe, for entering it in our carol contest–Masters in This Hall, sung by the Robert Shaw Chorale. (I seem to have missed the one with the CC button for lyrics, but this one is too nice to get rid of.)
When you see this much joie de vivre, you’ve just gotta join in. Whether it’s the dog body-surfing down a snowy hill, or the cat trying to pounce on one particular snowflake in a storm, it’s all a lot of fun.
Fascinating False Fact: The last time it snowed in Djibouti, a cat was blamed.
Here are five animals who show off their Creator’s handiwork by the way they cope with winter.
God’s stuff works!
Mountain goat–they climb like flies on glass; pronghorn–60 mph; fox hunting for field mice under the snow; grizzly bear and cubs–she knows when an avalanche will hit; fuzzy little pikas stocking up a winter’s food supply safely underground: well, yeah! Our God is an awesome God!
And the things we can see tell us much about those things we can’t see! St. Paul was right about that.
Here’s something they’ve taken away from us, under the guise of protecting us from King COVID–a flash mob at a Food Court, in 2010, breaking forth into the Hallelujah Chorus. No singing! No gathering! No showing your face in public! By order of the Governor! Mandate, mandate, mandate!
Have they finished us off? Will we never take our freedom back?
But we have a mighty Champion and Defender–Jesus Christ the Son of God, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, our rightful King and only Savior.
God will perform His promises even if no mortal on the earth believes them anymore.
