Who’s the ‘World’s Best Teacher’?

Andrew Moffat, the homosexual whose “No Outsiders” LBGT-promoting curriculum has sparked massive protests by parents in Birmingham, England, is on the short list for  the Varkey Foundation Global Teacher Prize (https://www.theguardian.com/education/2019/feb/21/teacher-targeted-over-lgbt-work-shortlisted-for-1m-global-award).

Creepy little people hiding in the shadows, reaching out to poison our culture and screw up our lives…

Anyhow, if Twinkletoes wins the world’s best teacher prize, he’ll get a million dollars. A nice reward for indoctrinating children into sexual anarchy. He’s already had to resign from one school district because of parental protests; but a million bucks buys a lot of comfort.

What is this Varkey Foundation, that has $1 million to throw around? I visited their website, but all I learned there was that their headquarters is in London and they really like “education.” Just a lot of high-flown verbiage signifying nothing. They say they’ve received 10,000 nominations from 179 countries for their Global Teacher Prize.

Just another tiny little group of people who get to decide what your world is going to be like…

Well, Paul, I’ve got news for you: the crap doesn’t stop when you leave high school, and most of us don’t stop “learning” it. And science and its joined-at-the-hip twin, science fiction, are among the chief purveyors of culture-killing horses***.

Would it surprise you to hear that a lot of people can’t tell the difference anymore between science and science fiction? Some are not even aware that there is a difference.

Culture-killing, and stuffing people’s minds with made-up piffle that they wind up thinking is true, are serious matters indeed. I think I’d better post the review I wrote for Chalcedon, going into this subject in more depth.

And speaking of science fiction… Today’s temperature is a balmy Globble Warming 4 degrees!

I guess the biggest question that remains is, Why do we let them do it? Why do we put up with it?

This year alone, the perves at Netflix have given us a “Star-Spangled Salute to Abortion,” and then a glamorization and exploitation of teen suicide. But they still haven’t hit bottom.

Now they’re trotting out a new season of a show called “Big Mouth,” described as “animated kiddy porn,” and, by its makers, “coming of age all over the place” (https://www.wnd.com/2018/10/netflix-intros-animated-kiddie-porn/). Another of the show’s writers described it as “super-dirty.” But because they’re using cartoons instead of live actors–the average age of the kids providing the voices for the cartoons, by the way, is eleven years old: paid at the age of 11 for talking super-dirty–they evade legal restrictions on their content.

Planned Parenthood, you won’t be surprised to learn, is a big booster of this show; and the show’s a big booster of Planned Parenthood. Raising up a new crop of PP customers, don’t you know.

The question is, Why would anyone ever produce a thing like this?

Be not deceived: None of this stuff happens without the support and the protection of the Democrat Party.

This is “progressivism” applied to our entire way of life. If left untreated, it will destroy us. Kill the culture, and it will kill you back.

O Lord! If you’re even thinking about letting these people win–! Smite them, O God.

The Square Root of Panic

Just a few days after the latest school shooting in Florida, police in Louisiana swung into action in response to a possible “terrorist threat” involving the mathematical symbol for the square root (https://fellowshipoftheminds.com/2018/02/23/insanity-police-called-to-louisiana-high-school-because-of-square-root-symbol/). And no, I will not bother to explain what a square root is. It troubles me that reports of this story in the Big Media all seem to find it necessary to do that.

Anyway, some high school kid was doing his math assignment, in which square roots were involved, and some other kid looked over his shoulder and observed that the square root symbol “looked like a gun.” Then some other student “said something” that spooked the school officials, who called police, who searched the student’s home, and at the end of the day it was all a lot of nothing.

OK, it was just a couple of days after a major calamity and people–especially school administrators and police–were jumpy. I can’t blame them for that. Only there are hundreds, if not thousands, of examples of police descending on schools because they were called by wacko school officials reacting to trivia or nonsense. Here in New Jersey a couple years ago, we had the State Police swooping down on a school because some little kid called a brownie “a brownie.” Racial incident, you know. Call the cops. School officials are idiots for over-reacting and the cops are fools for not arresting said idiots and charging them with wasting police time.

Meanwhile, liberals keep on trying to stampede America into some easy solution–like, for instance, disarming all law-abiding people–to the massive cultural disaster they have inflicted on our nation. “School shootings,” now a commonplace noun, were unheard-of before the Left really sank its teeth into America during the Sixties.

Kill the culture, and the culture will kill you back.

And chasing down supposed pictures of guns–uh, Officer, have you ever seen a modern video game, or gone to the movies lately?–only makes you look like ninnies.

They Keep Killing the Culture

My Bible-reading today took me to Leviticus 18, one of the grimmest chapters in the Bible: “After the doings of the land of Egypt… shall ye not do, and after the doings of the land of Canaan… shall ye not do…” (v. 3). Those “doings” refer to a wide variety of sexual sins–I need hardly to list them here–and the practice of offering up children as human sacrifices to false gods.

We in today’s Western world, which once was known as Christendom–we do all these things, and have invented additional perversions which never occurred to our ancestors.

I put it this way: Kill the culture, and the culture will kill you back.

F’rinstance: now being released, Fifty Shades Darker, the sequel to Fifty Shades of Grey ( https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/2780949/we-take-a-first-glimpse-at-fifty-shades-darker-which-is-far-kinkier-than-the-original-and-almost-pornographic-at-times/ ). “The Sun” (UK) has given it one star for quality and five for sexual content. It is, they say, “far kinkier than the original” movie devoted to a particularly incomprehensible perversion.

Now, there is a fair to excellent chance that this movie might bomb at the box office–but no one makes a movie to lose $100 million on purpose. No, this is Hollywood, doing its thing–its own campaign to fundamentally transform America and every other civilized country.

You cannot maintain a republic, a free country designed for sane and responsible adults, with a population stripped of God and family and devoted to heaping up sin as high as it will go. No amount of electoral victories can save us from the consequences of this, if we keep on doing it. People have to have strong families, orderly lives, and decency if they are also to have prosperity and liberty. A nation cannot separate itself from God and hope to thrive.

Again I pray: O Lord our God, please remember, when you judge this nation, that these things are done without our consent, against our will, and over our objections.

The NFL is not Your Friend

So far the National Football League has not announced a flag-burning to be included in the Super Bowl halftime show, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be one. And probably no gutsy Fedex guy to stop it, as in the video above.

Folks, I don’t know what more the NFL can do to convince you that they’re not on your side. Before the season even started, the NFL was standing tall for transgenderism and threatening to pull big games from states where they didn’t allow grown men to follow little girls into the bathroom.

Then the NFL sided with zillionaire “protesters” who wouldn’t stand for the National Anthem, I guess to protest the injustice of them being forced to play pro football for a living when they could otherwise be serving up Big Macs.

And now the NFL says they won’t “limit” halftime star Lady Gaga in anything she might say about America’s new president–chosen by the American people over Lady Gaga’s candidate, Cruella Devill.

So a flag-burning doesn’t look like it’d be any big deal for them.

Why do we support this sports league that refuses to support us, that predictably takes sides with the culture-killers every chance they get? The NFL’s TV ratings are way down this year: good, it shows we still have some self-respect.

The only thing better than seeing this year’s Stupid Bowl tank in the ratings would be to hear the crowd at the stadium drown out Lady Gaga with their booing.
