Who’s representing us? We’re supposed to have a representative government–but who is representing us?
It looks like our Congressional representatives are more and more beholden to campaign funds donated by other than their constituents. How can that be good for us?
And our local school boards! We don’t like Critical Race Theory, so these jerks want to lock us up. We elected these creeps! Obviously we need our heads examined.
“Public servants,” they used to call ’em.
It’d be very funny if it didn’t hurt so much.
The elections are over–right? They happened last week. There are winners and losers. And there won’t be more elections until next year.
So how come all these out-of-state campaigns are still snowing us under with requests for money? Always more money! Like a bunch of baby birds crying for more worms.
The other day we got an email from the Youngkin Campaign, in Virginia, citing some kind of “desperate” need for more money. Dude, the election’s over and you won! Why do you think people who don’t live in Virginia should keep on sending you money?
I know it has become routine, but I don’t like the whole idea of candidates soliciting funds from out of state. When the smoke clears, whom do they represent?
The 17th Amendment made U.S. senators independent of their respective states. Now they’re dependent on nationwide special interests. “Never mind those little peasants in my state! How can I get more money from the teachers’ union?” And now it’s getting to be just as bad with our House of Representatives.

A man with very little political experience, who had never held a public office, a truck driver who spent $153–yes, one hundred and fifty-three dollars–on his whole campaign, has defeated the president of the New Jersey State Senate (https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/local/after-spending-just-153-on-campaign-truck-driver-beats-nj-senate-president/3378682/).
Miracle!
Edward Durr, who spent $66 on Dunkin Donuts for his staff and $86 for cards and flyers, defeated Sen. Steve Sweeney, who’d been in office since 2002. Four years ago, Sweeney was re-elected in what some observers called “the most expensive legislative race in American history.”
Dare we say anyone can beat a Democrat who forgets to cheat? Or do the Republicans need to run more truck drivers?
Durr ran against high taxes (New Jersey’s famous for that) and high-handed COVID restrictions imposed by politicians who were insulated from the hardships that they imposed on others.
Our ruling class must be replaced before it ruins the country. May Durr’s election be a token of things to come.
Gold star for Virginia! Not only did you reject Clinton bagman Terry McAwful as your next governor: you also ran a lot of Democrats out of the legislature. Bravo!

*An MSNBC noozie blamed it on “relentless right-wing media.” Gee–where did he find any? This man needs a rubber room. He did stop short of blaming it on Rush Limbaugh, though.
*Another fat-head said it was because of “the racist dog whistle” of Critical Race Theory–which of course “isn’t real,” even though it’s listed as an “important resource” on the official Virginia Dept. of Education website. People truly, deeply, passionately hate Critical Race Theory, so Dems are trying to pretend their teachers’ unions haven’t brought it into the public schools.
There’s no such thing as CRT, Republicans just made it up.

I noticed all the way back in college that a lot of white liberals hated themselves for being white.

Like I said, it seems they’re taking away big chunks of our freedom in hopes that they’ll only have to give little chunks of it back.

I hate conspiracy theories. Criminal masterminds hatch a secret plot and next thing you know, Joe Blow on the internet knows all about it! I’d really rather not hear it.
But all this COVID stuff–I’m sorry, but it’s looking less and less like a medical crisis and more and more like a dress rehearsal for a global government. All those mandates! A “mandate” is not a law, voted on by our elected representatives: it is a command handed down from on high. You will not find “mandate” in our Constitution.
This business looks bad and smells bad. It’s like they’re thinking, “If we can temporarily take away a lot of their freedom, maybe we can get away with giving only some of it back! And if we can keep the pandemic going long enough, maybe they’ll get used to being cattle-prodded by the government. Maybe they’ll even get to like it!”
I’m not privy to any conversations among the global government crowd. I don’t have any secret sources. I’m just telling you what it looks like to me.
History tells me freedom is fragile, there’s always, always, always someone out there who wants to take it away from us–usually so they can take everything else, too. The COVID panic was a gift-wrapped golden opportunity for the enemies of liberty. They weren’t about to waste it.
Medicine does not insist on exactly the same treatment for each and every one of tens of thousands of patients. Medicine does not threaten people’s livelihoods if they don’t obey. Medicine does not make end-runs around the normal processes of self-government.
When I see the behavior of our COVID establishment, I don’t see medicine. I see politics.
Isn’t that the same as “unpaid leave”?
Dishonest Journalist Alert: Don’t you love those headlines that say “Supreme Court blocks” this or that challenge to The Mandate–and then you read the story and find out it was a hearing with just a single justice, not the 9-judge court. So if it’s one of the Far Left judges, you’re going to get a Far Left ruling. But the noozies–now a “protected class” on Facebook–are always trying to deceive the public. Anyone who ever told the truth on a CNN broadcast would probably spontaneously combust.
Meanwhile, Southwest Airlines has abandoned its plan to fire all employees who haven’t been “vaccinated” by Dec. 8.
(Why did you put “vaccinated” in quotes? Because it’s more dishonesty! Those COVID “vaccines” are not vaccines in the sense we’ve always understood the word. They are more a kind of gene therapy–and no one knows what the long-term results might be.)
Is everyone a liar anymore? “Not fired, Caesar! We have put them on unpaid leave.” Like there’s a difference?
United Airlines wanted to can everybody who didn’t consent to receive the gene therapy shot, but a federal judge put a stop to it.
And the airline pilots’ union (I didn’t know they had one!) has also come out against the so-called vaccine.
So… the Mandate Mob isn’t finding America a pushover like Australia: we’re not going to let them treat us like convicts. We probably were wrong to allow them to do “lockdowns” in the first place; but that’s because we erred in taking the government’s good intentions for granted. :Patrick Henry would have warned us against ever making that mistake.
Maybe–God willing and helping!–America can lead the world back to freedom.
But first we’ve got to replace our, uh… leaders.
