Top Jesuit: Satan Only ‘a Symbol’

It seems Catholics are no safer than Protestants from the false teaching  that keeps seeping into the Church.

Last week the top-ranked Jesuit said Satan is not a person but only a symbol that is “formed” by man’s imagination (https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/jesuit-superior-satan-is-a-symbolic-reality-60691). In May Pope Francis said Satan is a person, and is real; but he has yet to respond to this most recent example of false teaching.

We think we know figures of speech when we find them in the Bible. Satan is never presented as a mere symbol but always as the active adversary of the human race.

You’d think this current era–when “Clergy for Choice” act as cheerleaders for abortion, and “transgender” types are given space in the pulpit–demonstrates with stark clarity the reality of Satan. When New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo–Democrat, of course–publicly “celebrated” live birth abortion, Satan danced a jig in Hell.

I have heard that the Pope himself has been waffling on this, lately, as he has waffled on other fundamental issues of orthodox theology, but I haven’t been able to find any news articles about that. A sharp public rebuke to this Jesuit honcho would seem to be in order. Does anybody see it coming?

Think of it: 1,700 more years of Hillary Clinton trying to capture the White House. Wow! Where do we go to sign up for that?

One sure-fire way to identify false prophets: their prophecies don’t come true. Like the “lady” who got her name in the news by prophesying that New York City was going to be nuked to stop that night’s presidential debate.

Jesus Said, ‘It Is Not for You to Know’

Remember Y2K? “Sell everything you own, convert it into cash, and hide in the deepest mine-shaft you can find!” Uh, what were you going to buy with your cash, after the world ended? Someone didn’t think this through.

Some of the people in Jesus’ time thought He was all about “restoring the kingdom to Israel,” and they wanted God’s timetable. God does not give out that information, Jesus taught us. Unambiguously. God does not experience time as we experience it. He is not subject to it.

Which makes it very hard for us, prisoners of time, to second-guess Him.

Chief Cause of Death in 2018: Abortion

Grinning like the Cheshire Cat… Grin now; you won’t feel like it later.

Here’s something for the whole world to be ashamed of. In 2018, the leading cause of death, world-wide, was… abortion! (https://www.wnd.com/2018/12/shocking-statistic-shows-planets-leading-cause-of-death/) Yup, 41.9 million babies were aborted this past year, far outstripping the second-highest cause of death, cancer: 8.2 million people died of cancer.

Even more incredibly, for every 33 live births on the planet, there were ten abortions–that’s almost a full quarter of all babies conceived. Including 60% of all black babies in America. These are World Health Organization stats.

Which country has the highest abortion rate? I can’t tell you that: the list is different in every article you read. But one thing that does come across is that wherever you legalize abortion, you get more abortions. Sort of like legalizing pot.

I don’t know who said this, but whoever it was deserves a round of applause.

Man: God, why didn’t you give us a cure for cancer?

God: I did, but you aborted him.

This has to change in 2019. We have to try to change it. The Lord our God will require of this age all the innocent blood shed under its auspices.

“Clergy for Choice”–consider well your works. You never know when it’s too late to repent. Claiming, as you do, to speak in God’s name, you ought to know your punishment will be severe. The Lord doesn’t like false prophets. You could look it up.

Judas is the Savior???

Check this out. I quote from the ad published in Biblical Archaeology Review.

“The Gospel of Judas is the most important discovery in history.” Ya think? “From gnostic texts that have just recently arisen–phoenix-like–from the desert sands of Egypt, is the true original mastership succession story of first-century savior James the Just, whose every detail is inverted to hide his coming in the “Betrayal of Christ” narrative of the New Testament Gospels. All biblical scholars–” What? All of them?–“missed that Judas–not Jesus!–is the spiritual self-sacrifice ‘of the man that bears me,’ and an inverted stand-in for successor James…” blah-blah. And there’s more if you have nothing better to do than visit their website (https://judaswasjames.com/).

There you will be told that “‘Jesus’ didn’t die to save anyone, and that he was in truth preceded and succeeded by other Masters of equal stature.”

And at the bottom of the ad, this notice: “Seeking assistance/publisher/producer”. It seems somebody’s too cheap to self-publish.

Is it me, or is there a lot of this pseudo-biblical buffoonery going around these days? Last I heard, gnosticism was a heresy, emphatically rejected by the early Church. Obviously with good reason.

Where can I go to buy stock in false prophecy–clearly a growth industry?

These people are going to have to do an awful lot of fast talking, come Judgment Day.

They Keep Trying to Put Jesus Back in the Tomb

So there was this “early Christianity,” see, the original stuff that came without “such stumbling blocks as blood atonement and resurrection,” and it was only later that all that stoopid stuff got tacked onto it, Jesus was just a nice guy who taught nice things…

We have heard this before.

Jesus and After: The First 80 Years is another one of those books by another one of those Reputable Bible Scholars, just another face in the crowd on the false prophet express,  that seeks to make Christianity palatable to atheists and abortion-loving, transgender-touting Democrats. In the words of the Editorial Review on amazon.com, here we are offered “a Christianity for modern grownups who don’t have to believe that God created the laws of physics only to capriciously suspend them; who don’t need to depend on ancient superstitions about sacrificing goats or people to ‘save’ or protect themselves.”

“And if Christ be not raised,” wrote St. Paul, “your faith is in vain; ye are yet in your sins.” (1 Corinthians 15:17)

Oh, but that’s one of those things that was added later! It isn’t scientific, dude!

And waddaya need atonement for, when there’s no such thing as sin?

I’m surprised they want to keep anything pertaining to Christianity, there’s so much they want to throw out.

But we are talking about people who look in the mirror when they pray.

The Picture Says It All

According to a Harvard ninny writing for The New York Times, the Bible–in particular, the law book of Leviticus–once upon a time permitted homosexual sex (https://www.nytimes.com/2018/07/21/opinion/sunday/bible-prohibit-gay-sex.html).

Uh-huh.

Yeah, but–! “Dr. Dershowitz is a biblical scholar,” says The Times. Like they would know.

We say he’s also something else.

What evidence does he produce to back up his claim? Well, none. Zip, zero, nada. It’s just something he wants to be true. Besides, you have to say things like that, if you want people to think you’re a bona fide intellectual and a Reputable Bible Scholar.

There have always been false prophets, and always will be, until Our Lord Jesus Christ comes back and cleans house.

Until then, stick to the text and pray always for discernment. Because some of those “biblical” mountebanks are a bit trickier than this guy.

A Seminary President Gone Bad

New Brunswick Theological Seminary: I walked past this statue every weekday for four years.

In 2004 I interviewed Dr. Norman Kansfield, president of the New Brunswick Theological Seminary (Reformed Church in America), who was about to get sacked by the RCA synod for performing a “gay marriage” for his daughter.

I am posting this today because I want to make it clear to everyone that the Roman Catholic Church is very, very far from being the only church with leaders who reject God’s laws and the clear teaching of the Scriptures. As a high official of the United Methodist Church once told me, “The first thing I learned in seminary was that the Bible is not God’s word.” That remark still makes me shudder.

The rot of this evil age has set into many churches in many denominations. Many of us have given up on the whole idea of an organization called a “church.” And many of us haven’t. Let’s face it: if you’ve got two or more people in it, it’s an organization, however disorganized it may appear to be.

As Ben Franklin once said, “We must all hang together, or surely we will hang separately.”

Another Global Warming Prophecy Bites the Dust

James Hansen, a former director of NASA–a former space agency until Obama got his hands on it: now they just blather–is on record calling for jail terms for those who don’t believe in Global Warming/Climbit Change.

This year is the ten-year anniversary of his famous prediction that by the summer of 2018, there would be no more sea ice in the Arctic (https://www.naturalnews.com/2018-04-07-top-nasa-scientist-claimed-all-ice-will-vanish-from-the-arctic-by-this-summer.html). “This is our last chance!” was his dark saying.

Maybe the Arctic should be jailed for Climbit Change Denial: its sea ice cover has increased by 40% since 2012. If only Loretta Lynch were still our attorney general! She could sue the Arctic Circle. Maybe sue everyone who sees ice up there.

When the history of this shameful era is written, let it be noted that the serious movement to abolish free speech, and the free use of the human mind, started with the so-called Scientists who were pushing Global Warming.
