Pelosi: Disbar President’s Lawyers

When she’s not handing out souvenir impeachment pens, Squeaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is always looking for new ways to trample on the Constitution. It’s what Democrats do.

Last week she came up with a real howler–kick all the president’s defense lawyers out of the legal profession! Otherwise liberal law prof Jonathan Turley called that “a truly outrageous suggestion” (https://jonathanturley.org/2020/01/31/pelosi-questions-why-the-presidents-lawyers-are-not-disbarred/).

Other sources say Mrs. Pelosi was only with difficulty restrained from demanding that from now on, defense lawyers get punished along with their clients. Unless their clients are Democrat bigwigs–but they never get punished anyway. “If they want to stand with Trump,” she reportedly said, “then they ought to fall with him. If you defend a guilty person, then you’re just as guilty as he or she or xe is!”

This November is our chance to put the Democrat Party out of business.

We might not get another.

Remember her parading in triumph down Pennsylvania Avenue (above), after she and her fellow Democrats pulled every dirty trick in the book to ram Obamacare down America’s throat? We’re still choking on it. A triumph not over any foreign foe, but over America.

She was at it again yesterday, handing out pens as “impeachment” souvenirs. They had everything but party hats and noisemakers.

All a president has to do anymore to get impeached is beat a Democrat in the election. That translates to “abuse of power.” Then there’s “obstruction of Congress.” A president who didn’t obstruct Congress would not be doing his duty, but never mind–Donald Trump “obstructed” a Democrat Congress. I’m sure you see the difference.

In 2018 we let the Democrats capture the House of Reprehensibles, and they’ve done nothing but mischief ever since.

Nancy Pelosi wants to make sure she has a place in history.

3 Tough Questions

These would stump Mr. Spock…

Surveying the political scene–you know: that “impeachment” story that monopolizes our free and independent nooze media–three somewhat challenging questions spring to mind.

One. Wouldn’t every presidential veto be an “obstruction of Congress,” and therefor grounds for impeachment? I mean, what obstructs Congress more than a veto?

Two. Is it really okay and peachy-keen for the vice president’s son to collect more than $50,000 a month for a no-show job in a foreign country, but totally absolutely wrong for the president to ask what’s up with that?

Three. At what point (if ever) is it to be conceded that Democrats can’t pin any crime on Donald Trump and that enough time, money, and effort has already been expended on it? At what point do these shysters stop trying? Have they forgotten how to do anything else?

Then again, better they be wasting their time on this than inventing new entitlements for us to pay for.

 

Preventive Impeachment?

“When shall we three meet again?” (Macbeth, Act 1, Scene 1)

We now have the House Judiciary Committee Report on why President Donald Trump just has to be impeached. The purpose of this move, says the report, is “not to inflict punishment for past wrongdoing–” eh?–“but rather to save the Nation from misconduct that endangers democracy–” what?–“and the rule of law” (https://townhall.com/columnists/jennaellis/2019/12/09/house-judiciary-report-bombshell-dems-trying-to-change-the-constitution-n2557690). LOL for that last bit.

To translate Dem-speak into plain English: they can’t “inflict punishment for past wrongdoing,” because there’s no past wrongdoing to punish; so what they’re gonna do is inflict punishment for any wrongdoing that the president might do, sometime in the future.

Is it necessary to point out that our system of governing ourselves is not “democracy,” but a republic? The terms are not interchangeable! To speak of the United States as a “democracy” has only two purposes: to bamboozle a poorly-educated audience, or to display the speaker’s own ignorance. Or both.

The formal Articles of Impeachment, proposed by rabidly partisan Democrats, are: 1) “obstruction of Congress” (breaking a law that does not exist) and 2) “abuse of power,” which, in a Republican president, can mean something as simple as being elected in the first place.

And after calling us every low-down name in the book–racists, haters, biggits, stupid hicks, deplorables, xenophobes, etc.–Democrats expect us to rally ’round their flag and overthrow the president that we elected to pull the Deep State monkey off our backs. “Oh, we see the light now! We are so happy that every schmendrick that we send to Capitol Hill comes home a millionaire! We are so happy that Bernie Sanders owns four houses! And that Joe Biden’s son was earning more than $50,000 a month for a no-show job in a foreign country! No more Trump! We can’t wait to get back to business as usual! That’s going to be just so great when you repeal our tax cuts and shower the money on illegal aliens! What a pity that we have to wait for it!”

The day the Democrat Party is put out of business forever, the very sidewalks of America will break out in rejoicing.

Election? What Election?

Jimmy asks, “What elephant?” But Nancy Pelosi knows. It’s the one that’s going to stomp her party in the next election.

So the Squeaker of the House suggests maybe we’d all be better off if we didn’t have the 2020 presidential election. Her exact words:

“The weak response to these hearings [the House impeachment charade] has been, ‘Let the election decide.’ That dangerous position only adds to the urgency of our action, because the President is jeopardizing the integrity of the 2020 elections” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JCJ8emSWTQk).

Dangerous? Dangerous to whom? True, anytime we hold an election, we run the risk of putting some Democrat wacko in office. That’s dangerous. Correct me if I’m wrong, but Squeaker Pelosi seems to be saying here that the 2020 election is already illegitimate. And it’s all President Donald Trump’s fault.

But he’s not the one pre-emptively declaring our next election illegitimate.

I don’t know what she’s bitching about. There was nothing wrong with the 2016 election that a little more voter fraud wouldn’t have cured for the Democrats. So you have more illegal aliens voting, more dead people, more fictitious people, and more people voting multiple times–and plenty of cars with trunks filled with Democrat ballots held in reserve. All the old tricks. They were lazy last time, and it cost them.

And what are they afraid of? Don’t they believe those innumerable polls they trot out on the Drudge Report, Fox Nooze, CNN, showing any randomly-selected, off-the-sidewalk Democrat beating President Trump hands down? Like, Kamala Harris is down to about 1% in Democrat primary polling but she’s still a shoo-in to beat Trump. Or so we’re told.

Even so–maybe it’d be better to call off the election and keep on holding hearings until they finally find some way to railroad the president out of office. And then, just to be on the safe side, appoint a Democrat to hold the White House. Maybe even make it hereditary.  A few more amendments to the Patriot Act, and they’re in the clover.
