California Governor Bans Thanksgiving

No full-family get-togethers. No uncles, aunts, or cousins. If you have a big family, some of your children have to stay away.

No dining indoors, and so what if it’s late November. No turkey on a platter: all food must be prepackaged in containers.

No singing allowed–unless you sing very softly, with the face mask over your mouth.

Welcome to Thanksgiving 2020 in California!

Gov. Gavin Noisome has thought up a whole passel of new “regulations” to load onto the people of his state (https://thefederalist.com/2020/10/20/california-just-declared-war-on-thanksgiving-with-kafka-level-regulations/)–“regulations” affecting just about everyone in California. Gee, they’ll need a lot of people ratting out their neighbors, to enforce them.

Who knew a mere governor had so much power? This reminds me of World War II movies set in occupied France, with the people suffering under an SS colonel who has absolute power over them. All our governors are missing is the firing squads.

But, see, COVID-19 is gonna kill you dead, wam, bam, on the spot, unless you obey each and every mandate your governor can think of. It’s gonna kill you personally. Not like Climbit Change, which kills everybody. This virus has a bullet with your name on it.

Except it’s OK to riot, the virus will let you do that. Naturally–it’s for Social Justice. Loot, burn, assault, and freak out all you like.

But don’t have the family over for Thanksgiving!

Well, that takes care of Thanksgiving in California. Next target, Christmas. If they can ban Christmas, they can ban anything.

As civilization corrodes before our very eyes, even intellectuals have begun to say, “Uh-oh…”

Not many intellectuals, I grant you: most of them are out there rejoicing that “the Left has won the Culture War,” and made the world safe for abortion, sodomy, euthanasia, gender-bending, and out-of-wedlock births and fatherless homes. This is going to be the way it is for humanity from now on, they believe, and they are tickled pink.

But in a recent Wall Street Journal article, written to herald the publication of his new book, Religion for Atheists, Euro-intellectual Alain de Botton seems to be getting cold feet. Maybe, he suggests, the secularization of society has gone too far. In nailing down our freedom to fornicate without restriction, maybe we’ve thrown out some things we should have kept.

There’s Something Wrong with Our Politics

There’s a lot I don’t understand about our current politics.

How does 1) a paper-thin majority in the House of Representatives, 2) a tie vote in the Senate, and 3) a president whose election was, to put it as charitably as possible, of doubtful legitimacy add up to a partisan government that does everything it damned well pleases without encountering any meaningful opposition?

Once upon a time, even if you were the majority party, you still had to dicker, compromise, give the opposition some of the things they wanted, You couldn’t just ignore them–as is being done now.

Another thing: the president is the chief executive. Among other things, his duty, as laid out in the Constitution, is to see that our country’s laws are enforced. Our immigration laws are statutes enacted by Congress and signed into law by various presidents. So how come China Joe gets to not only ignore those laws, but refuse to enforce them and encourage people to break them?

Is our system broken? Is that how we’ve wound up with these very strange politics? Did they repeal the Constitution when we weren’t looking?

Stolen elections have consequences, don’t they?

One of those consequences is that we completely lose control of our government.

It’s almost an ironclad rule that a liberal hates, despises, and taunts his or her country. When they emigrate to another one, they’d hate that one, too.

Behold a few uncomfortable seconds of former Vice President Kamalalala Harris. Why did she want to be president of a country that she hates? I’ll never figure that out about liberals. But I think the clue may be simpler than expected: They hate whatever country they happen to be in at the time. Unless it’s China. You’re not allowed to hate China.

Kamalalalala calls America “shameful,” our history is evil and so are we, we had no business founding this country in the first place…

Blah, blah, blah.

Please, Kamala–go away! Find a nice little cardboard shack in Cuba and never darken our doorstep again.

Election Day is fast approaching. What new disease, what new pandemic, will the Democrats unleash against us this time? And last time, 2020–well, they thought they might take a crack at stopping weddings.

We must never, never, NEVER forget what they did to us in 2020. If they’re able to do it again, all hope for us is lost: too stupid, too timid, to survive.

At least Cuomo’s out of the picture. That has to count for something.

Leftids like to tear a country down before they take it over. One of their techniques is to smear the great men and women in the target country’s history. Then they can replace them with their own slimy, miserable excuses for heroes.

This happens primarily in the public schools, which we all pay for, and then shifts into high gear in (feh!) college.

Maybe someday we’ll stop letting them do it.

Why they would ever leave their kids in public school is way beyond me.

We know by now that anyone who doesn’t swallow the party line, hook, line, and sinker, is guilty of “insurrection” and surely belongs in prison without a trial.

Parents who want a say in their children’s education, well, they’re “insurrectionists.” too. Our so-called “Justice” Dept. spies on ’em. Hey, plebs–shut up and pay your taxes! Imagine the gall of these parents, trying to buck Critical Race Theory.

I graduated with honors in Political Science; but I can’t tell you how our country came to be ruled by people who hate us.

This’ll be our last nooze story today… because I don’t think I can find anything flat-out crazier than this.

Reporter Jacqueline Toboroff has found at least 17 states and cities that have changed their flags to include an 8-point star–which has for centuries been an Islamic symbol. It seems to be replacing America’s traditional 5-point star.

You’ve gotta watch this video–you won’t believe your ears.

Who voted for this? In a word, nobody. The changes have been pushed through by Far Left Crazy “diversity and inclusion” hacks whom no one elected. A few of these new flags have an Islamic crescent, too–you might easily mistake it for the Turkish or the Pakistani flag.

Gee… I wonder what the reaction would be if they decided to embellish state and city flags with the 6-point Star of David. Think that might touch off a few Mostly Peaceful Protests?

Ms. Toporoff calls this a “cultural coup d’etat.”  It doesn’t look like an exaggeration to me.

If your state or city is on the verge of doing this, phone your (heh-heh) elected representatives and tell ’em “No! No! No!”

Who’s next under the woke guillotine?

This story ran yesterday on Justthenews.com, where I saw it. But actually it goes back to January, so we’re almost three months late.

The National Park Service decided to remove William Penn’s statue from Philadelphia “to make it more welcoming… and inclusive” (https://justthenews.com/accountability/cancel-culture/erasing-history-park-service-ax-william-penn-statue-philadelphia-park). When this decision was announced, public opinion blew up in The Administration’s face and they had to back down.

William Penn… hmm… Pennsylvania… Could he possibly have had anything to do with the state of Pennsylvania, or are those names just a coincidence?

I’m sorry that I had to come to this conclusion, but events have forced me to it: I conclude that Democrats, liberals, teachers’ unions and the rest of ’em hate our country and want to bring it down. Erasing or defaming our history is very much one of their tactics. To the sane and decent Democrats that I used to know… well, I’ll bet you regret this as much as I do.

Stolen elections have consequences. Do they ever.

Speaking of new words for liberals, there’s a new thing bobbing up and down out there–“Racial Trauma.” Internet’s full of articles about it. Meanwhile, the fat-head in the White House is calling everyone who didn’t vote for him “fascists” and “white supremacists” and, of course, Haters and Biggits, etc. But that’s okay–you can’t virtue-signal without taking pot shots at white people. Boo, hiss.

Did you know you can actually go into therapy for this? They don’t want you cracking up because you heard some “hurtful remarks.” Yatta-yatta. They’d also like to make some money off you.

But the real purpose behind spreading racial paranoia is political. Democrats work night and day to make us hate and fear each other–because that’s their ticket to ride. Scare everybody. “Only a Democratic government can protect you!” “Big Brother’s got your back!” They’ve also got your vote: that’s what this is for.

They mustn’t be allowed to manipulate us. We must refuse to hate and fear each other. Basic human decency is how we fight this garbage. They want us at each other’s throats, they want us to depend on them to keep us safe. It always boils down to the fox guarding the chicken coop.

They’ve gotten away with this for far too long.
