Kids have been out of public school and out of college now for several months, thanks to The Great Quarantine Which We Gotta Have To Ward Off The Extinction Event Etc. But eventually the powers that be will expect you to send them back. Here’s a reminder of what public education does.

Dogs & Kittens
I can’t help but marvel at how gentle and patient these dogs are with the little tiny kittens. Well, there’s a bulldog who’s enjoying a kitten-sicle, but he means well. And dig the dog helping the kitten play with the string. I never saw a dog play with a string before. It was kind of like seeing a turtle do it.

Well, I’ve posted Joe Collidge’s timeless essay, and supposedly Verizon is working on fixing the outage at their central office–and I’ve loaded a cat video for this evening.
We’re still getting bounced out of internet access, again and again; but now the bounce-outs seem to be getting much shorter. Maybe by tomorrow it’ll all be back to normal. As in “We’ve got ’em now, boys!” said General Custer.

Smithsonian on ‘Whiteness’
It’s all garbage
The morons at the Smithsonian, having been firmly rebuked by public opinion, have removed their “Whiteness” “portal” that proclaimed that rational thought, hard work, and intact families were aspects of “white culture” (https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2020/jul/17/smithsonian-african-american-museum-remove-whitene/).
I guess that means that, left to their own devices, un-influenced by “white culture,” Persons of Color (POCs) just naturally gravitate to irrational thought, laziness, and fatherless messed-up not-quite families. Isn’t that what liberals are saying?
Gee, those characteristics would make them an ideal client class for rich white Democrats to use and manipulate.
BTW, I’m not sure what they mean by a “portal.” In science fiction a “portal” is the door by which you get to a parallel universe where everything’s fakacka.
Go through the Smithsonian’s portal and you’ll be in a parallel universe, all right.
The Secret Trump Vote!
Ooooh! Democrats have got the heeby-jeebies over the possibility that there’s a “secret Trump vote” somewhere in the Pennsylvania outback that’s going to materialize on Election Day and poop their party. (Don’t even think about asking for a link. I can’t stay on line long enough to provide one.)
See, the [trumpet fanfare] Narrative they want us to believe is that creepy, doddering Joe Biden already has it in the bag and Donald Trump might as well not even bother to show up. They get this by having Monmouth “University,” known throughout New Jersey as a real party school, poll “registered voters” instead of likely voters–and that gives the Old Crook a double-digit lead.
Would you believe they’re actually talking about “Belief in the existence of secret Trump voters”? Monmouth says 35% of Democrats are afflicted… and it’s spreading to other states.
Of course, you could always put a Trump sign on your lawn and watch your property get vandalized and your kids get menaced. That’s so much more public-spirited than… then not voting Democrat!

What gives? I just made two posts without my internet connection disappearing on me. This will be three posts, if I finish it.
Verizon promised that sometime this weekend we’d get our internet back, “in 48 hours or less.” The problem’s at their central office, they said.
They didn’t tell me whether things would get better gradually or all at once.
Well, if it’s possible for me to operate this blog today, I’ll do it. I am overjoyed to be with you all again.

When people who really hate Christianity lecture Christians on how to be Christians, they usually demand that we be winsome. Try using that word in everyday conversation. You’ll get some funny looks.
We’re also supposed to let the bad guys do anything they flaming well please to our society, and never, never, never defend it from them.
