‘In the Year 2030…’ (2016)

This oldie got some mileage yesterday, so I’m re-running it today for those who missed it.

I wrote this as a satire. Now it sounds like predictions. God defend us.

In the Year 2030…

But there are at least 75 million of us who don’t want any part of this: who know the election was stolen by the bad guys–and we want our country back.

The 80 million Biden voters do not exist, and never did.

The crime must not stand. There has to be a way to overturn it.

‘God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen’ (Maddy Prior)

It’s way too early to put away our Christmas cheer! Yes, the wicked stole our country out from under us, and it’ll be hell to pay to get it back–but we will not be able to do that without God’s help. May Our Lord fight for us!

Meanwhile, it’s still Christmas around here. And this is Maddy Prior and the Carnival Band, with an old-fashioned rendition of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen.

Cats Walkin’ Tall

I’ve never had a cat who did this–walked around on his hind legs. Is this Weird City, or what? And as if that weren’t enough, one of the cats in this video walks backwards on his hind legs.

Pliny the Elder once said, “Cats, schmatz–go figure.”

Face Mask Fascists

The Revolt Against Our Eloi Elite | The American Conservative

Let’s all be good, obedient little Eloi, shall we?

In the supermarket this morning, an employee in the meat department demanded that I wear my face mask higher, to cover my nose. He pantomimed it, too, in case I didn’t understand.

Surely I can’t be the only one who’s getting sick and tired of “By Order of the Governor” and all this face mask horse-schiff. Especially when there are reputable, credentialed medical scientists who say it does no good.

But if you ain’t wearin’ the mask, you ain’t buyin’ food.

I’m finding it increasingly hard to believe that a bunch of globalists didn’t unleash King Virus on us to whip us into obedience. “The people must obey the government!” Sheesh! Remember when this gaggle of officials were known as “public servants”? That’s a laugh.

But once you know how to steal elections, you don’t need public approval anymore. Just do whatever you please, and the voting machines will spit out a manufactured consent.

Our relationship with government has gotten rather cockeyed, don’t you think?

They Treat Us Like Toddlers

So who wants to grow up?

This is how socialized medicine works: once the government grabs, or is given, responsibility for your health, they can tell you what you can eat and what you can’t. Compulsory calisthenics is just around the corner.

As part of his “pledge” to “reduce levels of excess weight,” UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson–they call him a Conservative, LOL–has announced a government jihad against obesity, which will begin in April of 2022 with a ban on supermarkets selling “unhealthy food and drinks” at checkouts (https://www.theguardian.com/business/2020/dec/28/unhealthy-snacks-to-be-banned-from-checkouts-supermarkets-in-englandhttps://www.theguardian.com/business/2020/dec/28/unhealthy-snacks-to-be-banned-from-checkouts-supermarkets-in-england), where impulse buying is perceived as a threat to public health.

England classifies 63% of adults as “overweight.” Suddenly that’s become the government’s business.

Magna Carta–hot dog. Can we still say that if they abolish hot dogs?

The world’s liberals, the globalists, will be satisfied with nothing less than total control over other people’s lives. That’s what makes them tick.

Donald Trump was in the way, so they stole the election. Had to take him out.

What is the point of adulthood, if it’s going to be no different than childhood? Mommy and Daddy used to tell you what to eat. Now the government will.

The only freedoms they mean for us to keep are “rights” to fornicate, kill unwanted babies, and take drugs.

By Request, ‘Mary Had a Baby (My Lord)’

Coming down the stretch in our Christmas carol contest, we have this entry by Phoebe: Mary Had a Baby (My Lord), by the Robert Shaw Chamber Singers.

Who will win the contest? Whoever posts the carol that gets the most views on the day it was requested. And the winner gets an autographed book. It was the best I could do be way of a prize, once King Tut’s golden mask was taken off the table.

One of My Nightmares

I had a swell time in my dreams last night.

I dreamed the government handed down a whole bunch of regulations governing the writing of fiction–what you could write, what you couldn’t write, and what you’d better write if you know what’s good for you. And they sent goons around to make sure everybody was doing what they’re told.

I wasn’t caught up in the first wave of regulations, all of which had to do with how sex was portrayed in fiction from now on. But I could see which way the wind was blowing, and was alarmed enough to try to argue with the goon who lurched into my neighborhood. Luckily he just ignored me.

If you think it’s beyond possibility that a government would actually tell novelists and storytellers what to put in their stories, and what to leave out… well, you just haven’t been paying attention. The UK is way ahead of us on this, but there are more than a few leftids over here who will work hard to catch up to them. Which government will lead the world in censorship? Tune in today to see who’s leading!

Remember: once you demonstrate that you can steal a national election, public support is something you don’t need anymore.

‘Knowing Things That Aren’t True’ (2013)

Acme False Facts, Guaranteed 100 % Untrue, are fun. But the false facts that shape public opinion and public policy, they’re not so much fun.

Knowing Things That Aren’t True

We believe a lot of things that aren’t true. Believe? No–we know these things! Because someone told us. We heard it somewhere. Yeah, it was on NPR. Man-Made Climate Change. Systemic Racism. Things that other people made up.

Every time a truth is told, a Democrat breaks out in hives.

Carol Contest: Only 4 Days Left to Go

Our Second Annual Christmas Carol Contest got off to a great start, but has since let all the air out and is just lying there. Ninety percent of the entries were made by 5 percent of the readers; and the leading carol emerged on the first day of the contest and is still in front today.

All I can say is, I dunno what happened.

Anyhow, we’ve got four more days and anything can happen–right?

So here, to get somebody, anybody, started–Away in a Manger, British melody, sung by the choir of Kings College, Cambridge.

The Cat Who Defied Wrapping Paper

Never let it be said that only dogs know how to play with wrapping paper. I wonder why, though, some interfering human has to egg kitty on with a toy on a string. What self-respecting cat can resist making a mess of wrapping paper? It’s almost as good as toilet paper!
