This page was okay. It has a picture.

Well, they brought back the traditional White House Easter Egg Hunt yesterday; and then SloJo tried to read a children’s book to the kiddies. But–!

“They’re not going to let me read at all,” said the man who was elected by I don’t know whom (https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2022/04/18/joe-biden-theyre-not-going-to-let-me-read-a-childrens-book/).

The tome in question was a children’s book called “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?” After a few minutes of being balked at this, the, er, president tried to get up to leave. But First Lady Jill grabbed his arm and pulled him back down. “Just stay,” she said. Did she think she was talking to a dog?

And what did he mean by “They’re not going to let me”? Who’s “they”? Who gets to tell the president of the United States that he can’t read a book?

This guy’s more than a few candles short of a birthday cake. Sometimes I get accused (gently, mind you) of making up these stories that I report to you. I understand–they do seem way too ridiculous to be real. I mean, this is The Leader Of The Free World. Anyway, yeah–it’s real.

God help us.

College Forced to Pay Prof $400G to Settle Lawsuit

Another collegiate experiment in compelled speech has come up snake-eyes.

When a philosophy professor at Shawnee State (Ohio) refused to address a male student using female pronouns–for the simple reason that the jerk isn’t a female, and it went against the prof’s religious convictions to pretend that a man is a woman–the looniversity issued him a “written warning” that promised dire consequences if he didn’t get his mind right in a hurry (https://www.nationalreview.com/news/university-to-pay-400000-to-professor-punished-for-refusing-to-use-students-preferred-pronouns/).

The prof took them to court, resulting in an agreement by the school to pay him $400,000 in damages.

Have they learned their lesson? Do they now understand that this is America, not the old Soviet Union?

Don’t bet on it. Respecting rights of conscience isn’t in their DNA. And college makes you both dishonest and stupid.

The whole Biden family–even the dog–is bent.

On eight days in a row in 2021, the dog named Major bit Secret Service agents (https://nypost.com/2022/04/13/secret-service-agents-outraged-by-white-house-spin-over-first-dog-bites-report/). Dig the spin by Jen Psaki, the Mouth of Sauron: exposed to “an unfamiliar person,” the dog “reacted in a way that resulted in a minor injury to the individual.” “Reacted” means “bit.”

Major was then moved to the Biden family home in Delaware in 2022, where he bit two more “individuals.” His new whereabouts are not known.

Maybe they should just get a goldfish. But knowing them, it’d probably turn out to be a piranha.

America, you’re in big trouble from the top down.

Is It Real?

I don’t know about you, but sometimes the nooze gives me a sense of unreality that’s very difficult to shake. I mean, is there really “transhumanism” out there–or is it just a nightmare? Are they really going to try to make us use those crazy pronouns that they just made up?

It’s very hard to believe in all this crazy schiff.

But they want us to look the other way while they do their mischief.

A Story Too Filthy to Post

This blog is part of the Chalcedon Foundation’s ministry. Among other things, I have a calling to warn readers of the abuses routinely practiced against children and communities by the public school establishment.

Yesterday I encountered a story which I judged too filthy to post here. Suffice it to say that a public school “teacher” has confessed a crime perpetrated against the children in his charge. He has been arrested, and hopefully he will be given prison time and registered, for the rest of his life, as a sex offender.

This man went through teachers’ college, was given a license, and hired by his local school board to teach at an elementary school. How he was ever deemed fit to teach anywhere is a mystery.

This has to stop. And the only way to stop it is for sane parents to remove their children from the public schools. Nothing else will work.

What’s the only labor union in America chartered by Congress?

The National Education Assn., of course–since 1906.

Reps Scott Fitzgerald and Jim Banks have introduced a bill to repeat the giant teachers’ union’s Congressional charter (https://www.wispolitics.com/2022/u-s-rep-fitzgerald-introduces-nea-charter-repeal-act/).

What does that mean? The charter states “the mission, authority, and activities of a group.” It lends legitimacy to any group that has it. In fact, the granting of a charter is a symbolic gesture–sort of a Congressional Seal of Approval to the Far Left teachers’ union.

Repealing the charter would be another symbolic gesture.

Why should it be repealed? Because the NEA has virtually nothing to do with “education”! Over 95% of the funds it donates to politics goes to the Democrat Party. In 2019-2021 the union spent over $116 million on lobbying. It has become a purely political entity and an apparatus of the Democrat Party. Why should the American people, through Congress, salute them for it?

Probably Republicans can’t revoke the charter just now. First the Democrats need to be crushed in this year’s midterm elections. A Republican-controlled House in 2023 might be ready to take this first step toward stripping the NEA of its power to damage America.

And then along came King COVID, and guess what the Democrats running our big Blue cities did…

They do want to throw you in jail for not believing them when they say the sky is falling, and they would do it if they thought they had the power. If Donald Trump hadn’t come along in 2016 and stuck a crowbar in their spokes, they might have pulled it off.

So they have let thousands of convicted felons out of jail, to commit more felonies, and don’t think they’ve given up their dream of jailing you for thought crimes. These are people who passionately admire Red China.

God help us if we fail to wipe them out in this year’s elections.

Dianne Feinstein Endorses Joe Biden over Kamala Harris

I don’t want to demean anyone on account of his age. After all, I’ll be 73 next month. (You can still call me “the kid” if you want to, but people will think there’s something wrong with you.) I know people who ran out of gas in their 60’s, and others who are still sharp in their 90s.

But there’s a word, gerontocracy, which means “rule by old people.” Some of the “old people” in our government are well past their sell-by date.

SloJo Biden, the top dog, has always been a gaffe machine. In the latest poll by Quinnipiac University, his approval rating is 33% (https://nypost.com/2022/04/14/joe-bidens-approval-rating-hits-lowest-point-in-new-poll/), an all-time low. I wonder if his approval is really that high.

And then there’s Dianne Feinstein, a U.S. senator since 1992, who’s getting whispered about a lot, up on Capitol Hill (https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10718765/Democratic-colleagues-concerned-Senator-Dianne-Feinstein-88-mentally-unfit-serve.html). Some Democrats say she forgets the names of her colleagues and can’t always carry on a conversation.

Are we being governed by people who are no longer mentally fit? As leftids, it may be questioned that they were ever mentally fit to govern anything. Even young Democrats cleave to ideas and policies that are positively senile. Biden and Feinstein weren’t any better for the country when they were younger. Look at Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: not yet 30, and daft as a duck.

The real problem is not anybody’s age. It’s the absurd and wicked things that they believe in.

 

CNN Headed for the Glue Factory?

Mainstream nooze has been in trouble for years now. I remember when “Moesha” re-runs did better in the ratings than Dan Rather’s nightly nooze show.

Back before Christmas Bill O’Reilly predicted CNN would be sold this year and all the Far Left fake nooze artists would be fired as the new owners tried to reconfigure CNN into an actual news network. Well, Discovery is about to close a merger deal that will give them ownership of CNN; and meanwhile CNN’s new streaming service, “CNN+,” has tanked, big-time–an “epic failure,” as some describe it, with less than ten thousand daily viewers. That’s the first part of O’Reilly’s prediction come true.

And the sub-headline: “Big Cuts Loom.” The left-wing chatterboxes are going to wind up pumping gas or sweeping the floor at their local 7-11.

They’ve brought it on themselves–not a dry eye in the house. Their four-year orgy of Trump-bashing, seasoned with heaping spoonfuls of outright lies, has carried them to the brink of extinction. Whether the new owners can successfully set up a network that people will watch remains to be seen. They’ll have to deal with the fact that CNN has lost some 90% of its viewership.

This is not rocket science. If your thing is mocking and berating more than half of your potential customer base, you have no right to expect anything but failure.

We need news outlets that actually give us the news, as accurately and honestly as possible. Our Far Left major nooze networks refuse to do this. So don’t watch them. Ever. Let them join CNN on the great media landfill.

Freedom of the Press Takes a Hit in Canada

He forgot to say “May I?”!

Canada’s leading conservative journalist, Ezra Levant, is suing Justin Trudeau’s, er, “government” for denying a “journalist license” to his news outlet, Rebel News (https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/rebel-news-has-sued-trudeau-for-denying-the-prominent-official-journalism-designation/)–which means Rebel News reporters will be denied access to government press conferences and similar events.

Rebel News will also suffer penalties under Canada’s “Income Tax Act.”

According to the government, “less than 1 percent” of Rebel News content “meets the criterion for original news content” and is “largely focused on the promotion of one particular viewpoint.”

Honk if you know of any nooze outlet to which that description won’t apply [cue in crickets chirping in silent background].

“Journalism license,” eh? Does that mean “support the government or just shut up”?

The free world ain’t so free anymore, is it?

Allowing the government to decide who’s a “journalist” and who isn’t–well, that slurping sound you hear offstage is U.S. Democrats licking their lips with envy.
